bev started a fun “quiz” a couple of months ago, and Grey answered ’em too! Since our TBR lists are so loaded in unread goodies, and reader recommendations, these questions have helped us determine what could be next. 😀 Plus, it helps us get to know our own fellow readers! We might see ourselves in them! Kindred book spirits. LOL! 😛
And Grey has great book taste, and yet, THESE remain on her TBR list:
Book(s) you can’t believe you haven’t read yet? Me Before You: A Novel by Jojo Moyes
Book(s) that the cover grabs your attention? Anything with the Caduceus symbol (2 snakes and wings, used as a symbol of medicine) or an acid green or neon blue color.
Book(s) from buzz/review? Can I repeat my answers? LOL!?! because I’d totally go with Me Before You again… but I’ll go with something new and say Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre
Book(s) from book buddy book talk? Jellicoe Road I have this one… And I’m going to start it. I promise! LOL!
Book(s) you are hesitant to read? This question was actually the hardest for me to answer. It’s not really that I’m hesitant to read any book, because *I’m not skeered* right Amy?? I go in fits and spurts with my reading and have to be in a frame of mind… I’ve only had like 1 or possibly 2 five star reads all year so far… so I’m tough to please. I think maybe the book I’m hesitant to read would be The Last Hour of Gann just because of the length?? *shrug*
Book(s) in part because the author makes you feel you are in that locale? Anything by Kristen Ashley. The woman is a wizard.
Book(s) you really hope is what you think it is going to be? The Bourbon Thief by Tiffany Reisz, …I love her writing.
Book(s) that randomly pop into your head and you think yes I need to read that? This is a hard question. I’m in a bit of a book funk at the moment. I need to read all of the ones that hurt haha! I love the mindf*cks, the heart breakers…the hot ones… I think right now, I’m going to read Maryse’s last 5 star rec Dangerous Girls.
If your weekend read had to come from this list what 1 or 3 would they be? Dangerous Girls, Hollywood Dirt & Me Before You
Last one. Should Maryse put her tbr away and watch the first episode of Sherlock and blog it? Absolutely not… just because I would miss reading bev’s continued attempts to get her to watch 😉
Grey, since I see you’ve read A JR then The Last Hour of Gaan. Stat.
Maryse, these are just fun for me to read, thanks. 🙂
Grr. Why do I keep putting Gaan instead of Gann? *pfft*
Gaan sounds more sci-fi other-worldly. 😉
Ok, I’ll go with that.
You have to read The Last Hour of Gann. Don’t be put off by the length. Once you are immersed in it you will be glad it is so long cause you won’t want it to end. I have read it twice now
Another giant Gann peanut incoming!!! Just such a fantastic read. You won’t want it to end, so length is ok.
LOL on the Sherlock comment. I agree. I like the comments too much, so don’t watch it Maryse.
*giggle* Since I filled out this questionnaire I actually have read Hollywood Dirt, Jellicoe Road, The Bourbon Thief and Dangerous Girls…
Dangerous Girls was a definite 5 star read, in case anyone was curious. Thanks Maryse for including my response…I feel all sorts of loved right now!
