<— BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! OMG IT’S LIVE EARLY!!!!!! Mists of The Serengeti by Leylah Attar is LIVE!!!! SQUEEEEE!!! <— SERIOUSLY!!! Squee! :D !!! I LOVED IT and it’s 5 stars for this one, and now I’m gonna get my review up. Eeeeeep!!!

Gaaahhhhh!!! I had to tear myself away from my ridiculously awesome book (Wrecking Ball (Hard To Love Book 1) <— that I didn’t want to put down AT ALL ’cause I’m having so much fun with it, to make this list. But it’s so worth it, you guys!! Yep. It’s that time again, ’cause the awesome news just keeps on coming! In fact, TOO much good news is streaming in, and it was making me antsy. It’s LOADED in my favorite authors, and it needed it to be properly compiled.

And you know me… I’m a collector of all sorts of bookish things, and a list maker, which means I have a constant need to immortalize all the cool book-world news into a dated archive forever. ;) That’s me… satisfying my list OCDness.

So here’s the latest.

I’ll start with the SUNDAY SURPRISE new releases:

  • The Hearts Series: Books 1-4 by L.H. Cosway <— L.H. COSWAY ONE-CLICK BOOK BUNDLE ALERT!!! So many here LOVE this author (me included!!). Anne: “I love her Hearts series so much…” and ALL of these books, at a super bargain price:
The Hearts Boxset Bundle includes:
Six of Hearts (book #1)
Hearts of Fire (book #2)
King of Hearts (book #3)
Hearts of Blue (book #4)
Cross My Heart (bonus novella #5.75)
  • Creep by Yolanda Olson <— LIVE!!! CREEPY BOOK ALERT!! I’ve been eyeing this creepy-looking one, and it just went live! “…Someone keeps coming to watch the live shows, hidden in the shadows, obscured in the darkness and I don’t know what more I can do to satiate the hunger inside of them. And for the first time in my life, I’ve become the victim.”
  • Brides of the Kindred 18: Uncharted: (Alien Vampire Science Fiction Romance) (Older Heroine) by Evangeline Anderson <— LIVE!!! My sister is addicted to this series, and now fellow-reader Karla says: “It’s ridiculously good!!!”
  • Heat – Complete Series by Jade C. Jamison <— RECENTLY RELEASED (but I missed it, so I’m making up for that, now). The author announced this totally-surprise release here, explaining how quickly it went from contract to conception, and she adds: “P.S. This is a sequel to FINGER BANG. If you remember Rachel…this is her story. :)
  • Full Package by Lauren Blakely <— AUDIOBOOK IS NOW LIVE!!!!
  • Pieces Of Heaven: Pieces Of Heaven (Heaven & Hell Book 2) by Natasha Madison <— LIVE!!! HER DAUGHTER WAS KIDNAPPED & HE’S THE COP helping her...
“Serve. Honor. Protect, are the only things I’ve ever cared about until her case was dropped on my desk. As we searched for her missing daughter, the last woman I thought I’d fall in love with became my reason for living. Then the world came crashing down around us.One secret would change everything…”

My Book Review of The Memory Watcher by Minka Kent <— In case you missed it, I posted a psych-thriller book review yesterday that was SO awesome. 4.5 stars! Almost 450 pages and I devoured this book in, essentially, one day. THAT is how much I was into it!! An interesting social commentary on our need to be constantly public via social media, but always only with our best face forward to the world… no matter what the truth is that lies beneath. The premise? She secretly cyber-stalks her young daughter’s adoptive family on social media so she can watch her grow up… and one day, they deactivate the account.

Kirsten: this book was sooooooo good!

Maryse: It had so many facets… so many things going on but that all fit together perfectly!

Penelope Ward’s upcoming book “Mack Daddy” (releasing in just two weeks) had a cover and blurb reveal, and may I just say… HOT HOT HOT on that cover. *fans self* GAH!!! Just LOOK at this magnificence, will you? Even if some aren’t into the whole nude-torso book covers, it’s hard to deny that he sure is pretty. ;) Pretty HOT, that is. And of course, we LOVE this author, AND the premise is right up my alley!!! It’s a standalone, he’s a single father, and she’s his son’s teacher. Here’s just a tidbit from the blurb:

So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.
At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.
Everyone wanted a piece of the hot single father of the sweet little boy.
I was riddled with jealousy, because they didn’t know that—to me—he was much more.
They didn’t know about our past…

Vi Keeland is giving away 250 copies of “The Baller: A Down and Dirty Football Novel” (winners will be announced on Superbowl Sunday. Hey. That’s today!!) I just clicked the link and it seems to still be an active giveaway, so give it a try, and see. :D

Cheryl: Uh, Maryse Superbowl sunday is February 5th. ;)

Maryse: Oh. neutral

Maryse: LOL!!!!!!!!! Can you believe I have NO clue when the Superbowl is? eek Preposterous!!!!!! *snort:P

Maryse: *ahem* Hey guys!!! Guess what? The giveaway is still open!!!

Penelope Ward AND Vi Keeland <— Speaking of this amazing duo, THEY have a new book coming out, too!!! Mister Moneybags!!! Not much info yet, but something to squee about for sure!!!!

A new standalone from New York Times bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. Another chance meeting, another Cocky Bastard who will charm his way into your heart on April 10th, 2017.

Sarah J. Maas has revealed the cover of her upcoming HIGHLY ANTICIPATED book, A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses)!!! It’s gorgeous!

L.J. Shen‘s latest BIG HIT “Vicious (Sinners of Saint Book 1)” has a PREQUEL coming out in just a few days!!!! “Defy” is a student-teacher romance, and she just revealed the cover! No preorder yet, but it’s listed as:

“Defy is a smutty, insta-love, insta-lust short novella. Defy is a prequel to Vicious (Sinners of Saint #1). It is recommended, but unnecessary, to read Defy before reading Vicious.”

R.S. Grey’s latest Anything You Can Do just went up for preorder! He was her high school rival… ”The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard. I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used before: sexual warfare…”

Karen Marie Moning is having a contest (super-easy to enter) and the winner will be selected tomorrow! It’s a HUGE SWAG BAG giveaway with quite a few awesome books (one of ‘em, her latest – signed!!) P.S. She ALSO POSTED A DELETED SCENE from Feversong (a Christian/Barrons scene)!!!

Karina Halle just announced TWO MORE upcoming books, and these will be spinoffs of her much loved series Sins and Needles and The Dirty Angels trilogies, featuring Ellie’s daughter with Javier’s son!!!! JAVIER!!!! ‘memmmmmberrrr??? The ultimate bad guy that I couldn’t help falling for, while so many were in love with the good guy. I felt bad. And I was delighted in it. LOL!! She says:

“Less than a month until you meet Violet McQueen and Vicente Bernal!…

…Black Hearts is book one of the Sins Duet, with the sequel, Dirty Souls, releasing shortly after. These books can be read as a standalone – though they are a spinoff of the Sins & Needles and Dirty Angels trilogies, you do not need to read those books in order to understand and enjoy Black Hearts and Dirty Souls.”

A. Meredith Walters just posted a “winter special” free-to-read short story on her Facebook page!! She said: “Yesterday I posted a four part Winter Special all about Flynn and Ellie from Reclaiming the Sand. Head over to my author page and have a read and see what these characters are up to!

J.M. Darhower just revealed the cover and blurb AND the PREORDER for Grievous (Scarlet Scars Book 2) (book #2 in her recently released MAFIA duet with a severely scarred hero)! P.S. Here’s book #1 ➔ Menace (Scarlet Scars Book 1)

Pepper Winters just posted the blurb of her upcoming release, Hundreds (Dollar Book 3). The preorder is up with a sort of “mini-blurb” but the whole blurb can be read here.

Jennifer Probst silly-fun book news, that proves that authors are people too, ’cause she just fangirled hard!!! LOL!!! In regards to her latest release, Any Time, Any Place (The Billionaire Builders Book 2) (that she wrote with the “Property Brothers” in mind), JONATHAN (one of the actual twins from The Property Brothers) just tweeted her!!! *gasp* I would have totally fangirled, too. I totally feel her. (sidenote ➔ My own personal confession? Jonathan is my favorite one). She posted:

“OH. My. God. Jonathan Scott from Property Brothers just tweeted me about my book! He said he’s been called the Construction Cupid! I just fainted… #anytimeanyplace

“…This entire series was built around them and he tweeted me! Agh!!!!”

Sadia Ash‘s debut book, Juniper Smoke: Part I & II, that I one-clicked (as it was highly recommended to me by an author that loves the same books I do) and is on my IMMEDIATE TBR list was just optioned for a movie!! You can find out more news directly from the author, here. AND… As per Yahoo Finance:

“Juniper Smoke, a fresh new novel series by Sadia Ash that swept the women’s lit world, will now be optioned as a major film by Cinespots, Clover Entertainment Inc. and other production companies (TBA). This is the first romance series since Fifty Shades of Grey and Me Before You to gain such momentum in Hollywood…”

Mara White and K. Larsen‘s upcoming book has just been announced!! (P.S. Mara White was the author I was speaking of, that recommended the above book, Juniper Smoke, to me ;) ’cause her 2016 and my 2016 favorites were right on par with each other!!) Anyway, I digress. Book #2 in the “Missed Connection” series has been announced, blurb, title and cover and all! About “The Marriage Pact”, Mara says:

The Marriage Pact is a story about letting go and loving with your whole heart no matter the circumstance—or how much it hurts.
The Marriage Pact, the second book in The Viral Series following Missed Connection, by romance authors K. Larsen and Mara White is based on a heartbreaking viral Reddit post.

Ginger Scott‘s upcoming release now has a cover and a blurb on the preorder page! A Boy Like You sounds like it will be angsty and deep. The blurb is hard to wrap my head around, but I am intrigued! A boy once saved her life… and then he disappeared. Years later, a new boy shows up.

…I don’t feel sorry for him. And sometimes, I hate him. He challenges me. From the moment I first saw him standing there on the baseball field, he pushed me—his eyes constantly questioning, doubting…daring. Still, something about him—it feels…familiar.

He says his name is Wes. But I can’t help but feel like he’s someone else. Someone from my past. Someone who’s come back to save me.

This time, though, he’s too late…

Ilsa Madden-Mills just revealed her cover and blurb of her upcoming release, “Fake Fiance” (<— supposed to go live today… I’m still stalking it). Plus gave me some fun extra details. Kind of an author “look behind the book”!! She says:

“Some interesting facts:

My cover model, Jack Greystone, hot as hades, has a SHIRT ON on my book!! Since my last two releases have had shirtless dudes with big muscles, I’m kinda scared…excited…I don’t even know. I keep asking myself if readers will buy my books with a long-haired guy WHO HAS A SHIRT on….HA. Oh well. He fits my hero and I fell in love with his pics.

Other Deets:

It will be a live release with no pre-order on Super Bowl Sunday…did I mention that my hero is a quarterback?? YES.

It will be .99 cents 24 hours ONLY and then it goes straight to $3.99″

Mia Sheridan just revealed the cover and blurb of HER next release in her “Sign of Love” series. *squeeee!!* We love her, too! No preorder yet, but it will be releasing in February. “There were two brothers—identical twins—and though I loved them both, my soul belonged to only one…” Read the whole blurb <— here.

Emma Scott (yet another one of our absolute favorites!!) just posted the cover for her upcoming release, “The Butterfly Project”. It sounds awesome, and it’s releasing in February (OMG next month is going to be CRAZY!!! :D !!!!) Here’s just a tidbit from her blurb (click here to read it all). Okay, so… she goes to NY to pitch her vigilante graphic novel to a publisher, but is left disappointed…

“…Circumstances leave her stranded in an unfamiliar city, and in an embarrassing moment of weakness, she meets a guarded young man with a past he’d do anything to change…

Beckett Copeland spent two years in prison for armed robbery, and is now struggling to keep his head above water. A bike messenger by day, he speeds around New York City, riding fast and hard but going nowhere, his criminal record holding him back almost as much as the guilt of his crime…”

Barbara Blue has a new release also coming out in February that IS up for preorder! Things My Husband Says (Out of the Blue Book 1) sounds HILARIOUS!!! P.S. Don’t pay attention to the “4 pages” listed as the page count… she has it listed in the blurb as over 300 pages!

“THINGS MY HUSBAND SAYS is an unfiltered collection of conversations between myself and my husband of over twenty-five years…”

Staci Hart has a new book coming out in February, too, entitled “A Thousand Letters”. She just revealed the blurb, and the gorgeous, super-angsty looking cover. It’s not up for preorder yet, but I will stay on it!! :D Unrequited love and a second chance romance…

One regretted decision sent him away. One painful journey brought him back to me. I only wish I could keep him.

*A contemporary romance inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion*

Georgia Cates has an upcoming book up for preorder and coming out soon! Dear Agony: A Novel has a blurb that is totally up my alley, but it’s the end of the blurb… the sort of “note” by the author that makes this one sound exceptionally unique and intense. An “arranged mutual relationship” turns into so much more… but OMG! Could this be a potential “Marmy” book? “What does a woman do when the man she loves is planning his own demise? And how far will she go to give him something to live for?

I traded homelessness on the streets of New Orleans for a luxurious bed covered by the finest linens.
I traded dumpster diving for dinner in the finest restaurants.
I traded myself to a stranger—Bastien Pascal.

I have a good life within my platonic and mutually beneficial companionship with Bash.
He’s my friend. My mentor. My roommate.
Until everything changes…

Anna Todd (author of the “After” series) was featured in the New York Post!!! She’s so excited and announces it here. It’s a great read, and inside look at the author herself, and here’s just a tidbit (you can read the entire article here.):

“…Todd is a New York Times bestselling author, and her hard-copy books have sold 5 million copies globally. “She has sold more books than many of the top writers in the world today, and Anna’s audience is huge,” said Wattpad manager Ashleigh Gardner.

A former Waffle House worker, Todd has come a long way without a college degree from her native Dayton, Ohio. Last summer, she and her husband, Jordan, an Army vet, settled in Hollywood , where she’s writing and planning her next career move…”

bev January 29, 2017 at 5:23 PM

Juniper smoke is KU so one click.
The Emma Scott one sounds good, but I feel like I should read the one I bought first.
And make sure the hero doesn’t get hit by a car and die while delivering a message. ;)

Jan January 29, 2017 at 5:52 PM

Love the cover of The Butterfly Project.

Now I’m gonna go and check out Juniper Smoke :)

Maryse January 29, 2017 at 5:56 PM

MichelleS January 29, 2017 at 6:44 PM

Super Bowl is NOT today. Next Sunday – in Houston. Patriots vs Falcons. Go Falcons! Yes, I’m a football fan!!!

Reading Wrecking Ball now, speaking of football…

R. Renee January 29, 2017 at 6:45 PM

I’m a Browns fan so I’m not familiar with this, what is it? Super bowl? LOL

And I’m a Aaron Rodgers fan, so this one holds no joy. But I HATE NE, so go Falcons :D

I just just now finishing The Devil’s Music by Karina Halle, it’s been on my Kindle since September 26, 2012!!!!! OMGGGGGEEEEEEE ~ how can I call myself a book lover and hadn’t read this one!!!!! I’m getting ready to start The Devil’s Reprise!!!! I’m a very happy reader!

MichelleS January 30, 2017 at 10:40 AM

Brides of the Kindred – read a few of those – totally sexy and fun when you need that weird sci-fi PNR crazy out there insta love. They lost me when they did the “twins” thing. Totally not my thing.

Sarah J. Maas – just read everything she writes because I AM HOOKED. Love the worlds she created and the characters. Secondary characters are my cat nip

DANG IT! I never read Sins and Needles and I don’t know who Javier is – I started it years ago and wasn’t feeling it – and now I feel like I missed out. Maybe it’s worth another look into my dusty virtual bookshelves?

Maryse January 30, 2017 at 2:24 PM

I LOVED that one, Kim!!! :D I haven’t read the second one, I don’t think, yet.
