First… HAPPY FRIDAY FINDS DAY!! And I’m cutting to the chase, ’cause… yep! We have we found some!!!

Amazon Prime Memberships are not on sale anymore… but they are still awesome… I LOVE my Prime!

LIVE!!!!! The Air He Breathes by Brittainy Cherry (and it’s already getting SO many great reviews), and I know so many here were anxiously awaiting it!

“It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster… “

WOW!!! Sounds like exactly my kind of tortured (and cruel) hero. But of course, this doesn’t surprise me since I LOVED “Loving Mr. Daniels”. And Sarah says:

“It will definitely knock your socks off! So good Bring tissues ;) “

AND AND!!! A new one BIKER one from Joanna Wylde, Courtney Cole (SO MANY FREAKED over this series!!), Charlotte Stein (student-teacher romance), R.L. Mathewson (most hilarious romance books ever!!), today’s “finds” are fabulous!!!

And don’t forget!!! Just a few more days before the rollout of all new Kindle products (all the new ones going live on September 30th, but they are up for pre-order now, AND one of ‘em… A KINDLE FIRE will be releasing at a super-low price!!!!). And if you’re buying them as Christmas gifts, they are doing a buy “buy 5, get 1 free” deal).

P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

P.P.S. Don’t have a Kindle? No problem! Amazon offers various free Kindle apps and a free Kindle Cloud reader for any and ALL of us to use. You can either use the free Kindle App for your smartphone, tablet, AND your desktop computer (just like you’re using a Kindle, but right through your web browser <— No need to download anything! :D )

EBOOK BARGAINS & READER RECOMMENDATIONS (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).

  1. The Air He Breathes by Brittainy Cherry <— JUST WENT LIVE/ANGRY COLD HERO ALERT!!!I was warned about Tristan Cole. “Stay away from him,” people said. “He’s cruel.” “He’s cold.” “He’s damaged.” It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster. But I couldn’t do that.
  2. The Professor by Charlotte Stein <— JUST WENT LIVE/TEACHER STUDENT ROMANCE ALERT!!! She made me SWOOON big time a couple of years ago with her risqué forbidden-love super-sexy read… so I’m very enticed by this one! “Esther has always been an average student. She coasts through life on a sea of Bs, until a fatal mistake jolts her out of mediocrity and into something else entirely. She accidentally leaves a story in an essay for her teacher — one that no teacher should ever see. And especially not Professor Halstrom…” and Betty was waiting for it! “The release date was postponed…and I forgot about it. It was quite a pleasant surprise this morning!”
  3. Reapers and Bastards: A Reapers MC Anthology by Joanna Wylde <— JUST RELEASED!!! SUPER-POPULAR BIKER SERIES ALERT! “From the New York Times bestselling author of the Reapers Motorcycle Club and Silver Valley series comes an anthology of extras and never-before-released material, including a new short story featuring fan favorites Horse and Marie.”
  4. Bad to The Bone: a Bad Boys of the Bay novella by Karin Tabke <— JUST RELEASED!Sergeant Vaden Holbrook and widow Olivia Connor’s chemistry is off the charts hot, but incredible sex isn’t enough for Olivia. She wants it all…
  5. TANK (Savage Saints MC Book 2) by Carmen Jenner <— JUST RELEASED!! BIKER BOOK ALERT! He’s the club “enforcer” and… “I’m the man who doesn’t feel. Until now. Until her. Now my mess is a woman who won’t save herself. I’ll fight like hell to save her, but at what price to the club? And at what cost to me?
  6. Initium (Nocte Trilogy (2.5)) by Courtney Cole <— JUST RELEASED!! Well look what else just went live!!!! SURPRISE!!!!!
  7. Honeymoon from Hell Part I by R.L. Mathewson <— JUST RELEASED R.L. MATHEWSON ALERT!!!!! OMG I had no idea she was releasing all of these like this (all at once, too!!) YAY US! I absolutely LOVED her “Neighbor from Hell” series so I can imagine this will have me laughing so hard I cry!!
  8. Honeymoon from Hell II by R.L. Mathewson <— #2!!!
  9. Honeymoon from Hell III by R.L. Mathewson <— #3!!!
  10. Book Boyfriend Series Collector’s Edition Boxed Set by Erin Noelle <— Lauren found us this deal! “Book Boyfriend Series Collector’s Edition Boxed Set by Erin Noelle”
  11. MC Chronicles: The Diary of Bink Cummings Vol 1: (Motorcycle Club Romance Novel) by Bink Cummings <— BIG BIKER SERIES LOVE FOR THIS ONE ALERT!! This “new/old find” is still on the list ’cause it’s making our fellow readers VERY happy! Kelly said “Maryse, started the Bink Cummings MC series. Finished book 1 and 1/2 way through 2. Loving it! I was looking for another series that wasn’t quite a romance – a bit more real and gritty. Found it. Worth checking out”
  12. The Rub Down by Gina Sheldon <— HE’S A MASSAGE THERAPIST with strict rules about keeping it professional! But then he meets her… “One year after the tragic Boston Marathon bombing, Alexa Williams must overcome horrible memories of that day. She struggles to put her fear aside to meet the challenge of the run. A rigorous training schedule leaves her body aching, and with Luke’s help, Alexa finds soothing release at The Rub Down.“ On sale today!!
  13. More Than Lies: A Novel <— GOOD GIRL THAT CAN’T PLEASE HER PARENTS  + BAD BOY ALERT!! Recent release (standalone!) and on sale! “When tragedy strikes her in the worst way, she finds herself bargaining in distress, trying to find reason and rationality in what’s set before her, but will he give in when in most cases the good girl never gets the bad boy?
  14. Bound to You Boxed Set: (Volumes 1-3) (Millionaire’s Row) by Vanessa Brooke <— OFFICE ROMANCE ALERT! She wants to work for a Publishing company in NY but has to be the assistant to the owner’s son… “Convinced she can show the owner of StoneHaven Publishing that she has the “right stuff,” Rebecca agrees to a six month trial as the personal assistant to the owner’s playboy son, Nicholas StoneHaven. This is her big chance. If she can just get through these six months without strangling Nicholas with his Armani tie, she’ll be okay – easier said than done. Nicholas is the last person Rebecca thought she’d find herself pining for…” SERIES BUNDLED!
  15. WITHER (THE WITHERED SERIES Book 1) by Amy Miles <— ZOMBIE/POST APOCALYPTIC PSYCH THRILLER ALERT!!! Kiki and I have been excited about the “psych-thrillers” and scary books and she has been anxious to finally get to this one on her TBR list “I bought this one a few weeks ago, Wither by Amy Miles. It released last October but looks really good!… I am itching to read this one. I loved Red Hill!“, and OMG I want it!! IT IS MINE!! One-click!! So an epidemic takes over… and a vaccine ends up turning many that are “left” into sort of… zombies. And… “Growing up on the streets taught Avery how to care for herself, but no amount of self defense classes at the Y could have prepared her for the outbreak of deadly gangs, a corrupt government bent on using her blood for experiments and the depths to which desperate people would go to survive. She soon discovered that it was not the Withered Ones that she needed to fear, but those still human.
  16. Bird Box: A NovelBird Box: A Novel by Josh Malerman <— HORROR ALERT!!! and while I was looking at that one, look what else I found. OMGOODNESS!!!! Tons of reviews, so many 5 stars it’s crazy, and that blurb? *gasp* Not on sale, but I don’t even think I care!!! I need this jolt!!! I love the title of one review “What a nasty little treat this was”. YES!!! “Something terrifying that must not be seen. One glimpse and a person is driven to deadly violence. No one knows what it is or where it came from. Five years after it began, a handful of scattered survivors remain, including Malorie and her two young children. Living in an abandoned house near the river, she has dreamed of fleeing to a place where they might be safe. Now, that the boy and girl are four, it is time to go. But the journey ahead will be terrifying: twenty miles downriver in a rowboat—blindfolded—with nothing to rely on but her wits and the children’s trained ears. One wrong choice and they will die. And something is following them. But is it man, animal, or monster?” <— eek HOLY MOLY!!! Terror with your eyes closed? YES PLEASE!! Can you tell I’m excited for Halloween? LOL!!
  17. This Is Not a Test by Courtney Summers <— END OF THE WORLD/ZOMBIES ALERT! <— Okay not on sale either but sounds right up my dark alley!!! It’s the end of the world and zombies have taken over, and 6 students are hiding in their high school (one of them doesn’t want to live anymore… due to something that happened weeks earlier): “As Sloane eagerly waits for the barricades to fall, she’s forced to witness the apocalypse through the eyes of five people who actually want to live. But as the days crawl by, the motivations for survival change in startling ways and soon the group’s fate is determined less and less by what’s happening outside and more and more by the unpredictable and violent bids for life–and death–inside.
  18. Please Remain Calm by Courtney Summers <— And here is the sequel!! Eeeeep!
  19. The Martian: A Novel by Andy Weir <—  And Fabi reminds us of this one!! “A reminder that The Martian movie comes out next month. This is one book to movie that I HAVE to see. If you haven’t read the book yet, you’re missing out. I know its classified as sci-fi. And it is sci-fi. But its so much more too. It’s a best seller and with good reason.”
  20. And for AUDIOBOOK LOVERS :P

For those going on a road trip soon, or maybe you’ve got some projects that require both hands this weekend but still allows you to “listen”… check out the free audible trial + 2 free ebooks deal —>

    1. AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle books are available as AUDIOBOOKS AT A BARGAIN-PRICE!<—Audiobooks for ebook super-sale prices. I’m thrilled with that, and what’s fun is you can flip flop from reading it, to listening to it without losing your spot… This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). Amy September 25, 2015 at 12:19 PM

It’s Friday and I’m all wound up! *skips around and tosses confetti* Anyways…I am totally in the mood for some zombie/apocalypse books now. I clicked Wither and This Is Not a Test…how FUN!!! As long as they don’t gut punch me like the second UTEOTW book did (but I still loved it). Also picked up The Air He Breathes, The Rub Down and More Than Lies.

I LOVE October with all of the Halloween stuff that is around all month long. And spooky books! Who else is going to read The House when it comes out next month? Yep, next month for me is allllllll about ghost, zombie and horror stories. :D

Tessa September 25, 2015 at 12:23 PM

Okay, bought More Than Lies. That blurb got me big time. :D

Tessa September 25, 2015 at 12:35 PM

Maybe I’ll finally read UTEOW 2 next month. That one just scares me emotionally. You all were gutted with it.

Jean September 25, 2015 at 12:48 PM

Tessa, UTEOTW is so worth it. Yes it hurts some, but i flew through that series, one book after the other. Funny Amy because I got Wither and This is a Not a Test too…..thinking I need a change from all the angsty romance!

I did preorder The Play and was happy I did…. $1.00 of all preorders is being donated to animal charities. And its Karina so….

And all this talk about The Diary of Bink Cummings has me intrigued.

And oh Bird Box! Okay Maryse, you need to read that one for me first before I spend that much money. Can you do it quick and review before Halloween? Lol!

Maryse September 25, 2015 at 12:56 PM

ME AMY!!!!

While I will still indulge in my romance in October, I’m kicking it up with psych-thrillers and post-apocalyptic craziness!!!! :D

And many some of those awesome mini-horror-movies floating around the internet right now that make me jump out of my skin in just 3 minutes! LOL!

Maryse September 25, 2015 at 12:57 PM

Ghost love stories!!!!

Maryse September 25, 2015 at 12:59 PM

Jean… I CAN!!!! :D YAY ME!!!! I’m way too excited for my thrills!

Jean September 25, 2015 at 1:03 PM

Amy, The House? Author? Did I miss something?

Maryse September 25, 2015 at 1:08 PM

It’s coming out end of October Jean… I think it’s a love ghost story by Christina Lauren!!!

Maryse September 25, 2015 at 1:10 PM

Okay I added “The House” to the pre-orders on this page. You can’t miss it! :D

Laura September 25, 2015 at 1:12 PM

Feverborn was pushed back to January!

Jean September 25, 2015 at 1:19 PM

Thanks Maryse! We should all buddy read that one to celebrate Halloween!

Maryse September 25, 2015 at 1:21 PM

Oh okay let me edit that, Laura, thank you!

Maryse September 25, 2015 at 1:22 PM

Yes we should Jean!!!

Cheryl September 25, 2015 at 2:44 PM

Ok, UTEOTW is what again?? My old brain is dragging today!

I started the Air He Breathes, even though I’m really more in the mood for something lighthearted and funny after the last 2 cry-fest books. Thought the newest Melanie Harlow book would be, since she is the author of the Frenched series, but this one is angsty too. Thank God for alcohol!! It’s 5′oclock somewhere, right?!!

Jean September 25, 2015 at 2:53 PM

Cheryl, Until the End of the World.

Cheryl September 25, 2015 at 3:04 PM

Thanks Jean! ;)

Tessa September 25, 2015 at 3:39 PM

Cheryl, one of those honeymoon books would work. :D

Finished Sweet Gum Tree. Loved it! *sighs* Some heart hurt, some happy, love the epilogue. *grins* Pure great.

Cheryl September 25, 2015 at 4:06 PM

Ha-ha Tessa. I wondered are they continuations of stories from the Neighbor from Hell Series or standalone novellas?

Tessa September 25, 2015 at 4:27 PM

I don’t know! I will say this, though. Neighbor from Hell series was so funny, it’s gotta be good. I got number one to start for when I need funny. Right now, PNR. SGT made it so I can’t read anything contemporary unless it’s a guaranteed 5 star. :D

bev September 25, 2015 at 7:16 PM

I have had Bird Box since last Halloween when it went on sale. I usually do not read horror but it kept getting mentioned on Book Riot. So impulse buy. Have been too afraid to read it.

Amy September 25, 2015 at 8:26 PM

Mini-horror-movies…what, Maryse?????? Okay, share the links missy…

Jean, you’re reading The House with us. ‘Cause we said. M’kay? M’kay. ;)

Yay Tessa!!! *happy SGT dance* Now you just have to read the second UTEOTW book…

Speaking of UTEOTW…Cheryl, you need to read that series too!! And it’s always 5 o’clock around here. :P

Amy September 25, 2015 at 8:28 PM

Come on, Bev…read it. Reeeeeaaaaad it!!! We’ll build you a blankie cave to hide in if you get too scared. ;)

bev September 25, 2015 at 9:18 PM

Lol. Right now think The Air He Breaths. But if you and Maryse want to read it I’ll jump in…..and then expect you to stay up commenting thru the night if I’m too scared to sleep. ‘Kay?

Cheryl September 25, 2015 at 10:13 PM

The blurb for The House….I’ll read it with you Amy & Maryse!!

How many books in the UTEOTW series and is it complete?

Amy September 26, 2015 at 12:40 AM

Yay Cheryl for The House!!! Especially since JEan is ignoring me and thinks she doesn’t have to read it. And UTEWOt is complete. Yep it is. And its good. and will kick you in the gut. But its good. So read it!!!

DEAL BEV!! But first guess what…hey Bev, guess what…

Amy September 26, 2015 at 12:41 AM

Guess what Bev…

Amy September 26, 2015 at 12:57 AM

I’m reading that Place and home book!!!!

MAybe tomorrow…

bev September 26, 2015 at 7:34 AM

Amy, you were wound up for Friday! Yay!! Fingers crossed you like it.

bev September 26, 2015 at 7:37 AM

Fabi, I just saw an A- review from a reviewer I like to read. Medusa is the heroine. And really good price so one click for me.

Donya September 26, 2015 at 9:27 AM

Maryse – when looking for my next book, I always stop by to visit and see what you have been reading. Thanks for all the wonderful recommends! Just wanted to throw out there that I found – The Air He Breathes – prior to your recommend. AND I was blown away! It hit all the marks…I laughed, I cried, I pulled for Tristan, I could not put it down!!! (I stayed up to 3 in the morning to finish it). A definite to add to your TBR list.

Maryse September 26, 2015 at 9:38 AM

YAY!!! Thank you Donya!! :D

fabi September 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM

Thanks Bev!

Amy September 26, 2015 at 12:03 PM

Yep Bev, I was “wound up” last night…caramel apple martinis will do that to ya. *snicker* And my head hates me for it this morning but they were SO good.

I’m only about 8% in but so far it definitely has that SGT feel and is just what I was looking for! :D

Jean September 26, 2015 at 12:20 PM

I’m starting The Air He Breathes right now. Finished Wild Reckless and really liked it!

Amy, I’m definitely in for the buddy read of The House….October 6 right?

carlotta September 26, 2015 at 12:40 PM

Hi maryse! I follow your blog for several months … I make so many compliments! … it is one of the best if not the best ever! Emoticon smile I saw that in your book list exists the category “He does not want her …” Unrequited Love “Book Recommendations” …. since my favorite category of books is the one where the heroine does not want to the hero, I wanted to ask if it was possible to create a list for this kind … a list that is the heroine who escapes and is emotionally elusive … as in Dublin Street by Samantha Young! I hope you answer me, kisses Emoticon smile
p.s. sorry for my english

Cheryl September 26, 2015 at 12:45 PM

Amy, what are you reading?

I just finished The Air He Breathes. It was well-written and touching and heartbreaking and angsty, but not overly so, which was good because I’ve cried enough with the previous 2 books I read. Now out for a run while I think about what to read next. :)

bev September 26, 2015 at 12:53 PM

Jean & Cheryl Air he Breathes is going to be my weekend read. :-)

I’m very curious Amy. I’ve wanted to do a re read for years. Don’t hold back. Lol. Or bite your lip like Maryse. ;-) :-P

Jean September 26, 2015 at 12:54 PM

Just downloaded a book for free and looked interesting….thought I would share. The House on Persimmon Road. Reviews look good.

bev September 26, 2015 at 12:55 PM

Fabi, after I posted that I was all, “Wait it is Fabi that likes the myths, right? Or maybe that’s Tessa”, lol.

Jean September 26, 2015 at 1:02 PM

Wow, just the prologue of TAHB was heartbreaking……

Tessa September 26, 2015 at 1:03 PM

I think it’s a both thing. *grins* I grabbed it when I read it. Also just grabbed The House on Persimmon Road too.

bev September 26, 2015 at 1:16 PM

Lol. I’m glad Tessa. The review made it sound really good.

October 22 next Robert Galbraith comes out.

Amy September 26, 2015 at 2:27 PM

Yay Jean!!! Yep, it releases on Oct 6. :D I’m actually making a new collection on my Kindle app right now with zombie and ghost books for next month…gotta love Maryse’s lists ’cause they are making that job SO much easier!

Cheryl, I’m reading A Place To Call Home on Bev’s rec. I was so jealous that Tessa was reading Sweet Gum Tree for the first time, and Bev said APTCH has a similar feel…and it does!

Maryse September 26, 2015 at 2:29 PM

Hi Carlotta!!

What a GREAT idea! I’ll get started. :D

Maryse September 26, 2015 at 2:32 PM

I bite my lip? Nuh uh!!! :P LOL!!!!!!

fabi September 26, 2015 at 3:00 PM

Carlotta, that is a great idea. I like those types of books too. :-)

Your English is great. Don’t worry, if there is ever anything we don’t understand, we will ask. :-)

Fabi September 26, 2015 at 3:17 PM

I heard yesterday that JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT is releasing a comoanion to her Lux series. It’s called Oblivion and will be Daemon’s POV with some new scenes. I love that series. Can’t wait for more D.

Jean September 26, 2015 at 3:37 PM

I saw that yesterday too fabi and already preordered it on Amazon (even though I still need to catch up on the series). Comes out December 1st

bev September 26, 2015 at 3:52 PM

Jean, what do you think of the air he breathes, so far? I’m only 21% in and have to put it down soon for errands. I’m liking it and will probably finish today. But……well but. Can’t quite put my finger on it, there is something not lining up for me.

Grey September 26, 2015 at 4:02 PM

Hi all… just settling in to finish my Hate to Love You book, then will pick something new.

I’m feeling dark… and go *giggle*

Jean September 26, 2015 at 4:07 PM

Bev I’m only at 14% (had to get some errands done too) and just now getting back to it. Too soon for me to say, but you know i love the broken ones and just want to save them! I loved Emma immediately and the tick comment! Lol!

Tessa September 26, 2015 at 4:22 PM

Grey, how about Owned by M. Never. It was pretty interesting.

Cheryl September 26, 2015 at 4:32 PM

Bev, I enjoyed The Air He Breathes, but I get what you’re saying. While it was well-written and sad and what happened to them heartbreaking, I think “intensity” was missing. Felt a little detached.

Cheryl September 26, 2015 at 4:35 PM

Amy, the blurb for APTCH sounds just like SGT.

Michelle September 26, 2015 at 4:54 PM

I’m still reading The Air He Breathes too and I’m enjoying it a lot but yes it’s missing something (won’t be a 5*)…still really good! Also reading End of Days finally and that’s really disappointing for me…actually mad about how just blah this last book is :( Tessa, you read that series right? Am I being overly critical here?

bev September 26, 2015 at 5:00 PM

Glad to know Im not alone. But not even half way so we will see. I really feel like the mother/daughter relationship isn’t flushed out enough, too.
Cheryl, I read APTCH in the 90s. Then when I read SGT a couple years ago I kept thinking, “have I read this?” Lol. But enjoyed both greatly.

Tessa September 26, 2015 at 5:14 PM

Michelle, nope. It lacked the insane intensity that was in the first two books. Also, the end almost seemed… okay. Does that make sense? I was expecting spectacular, and got okay. That makes it harder after spectacular. Also, thank you for the warning on Demonglass. Knowing it’d lack comparatively, I enjoyed it. You were right that it didn’t live up to the first book, but I still liked it since I knew it wouldn’t.

Grey September 26, 2015 at 5:39 PM

Tessa, thanks for the Rec, I may go with Owned… or Sweet Gum Tree, I am succumbing to peer pressure haha!

Oh, I thought saw a blurb somewhere that Never Never Part 3 by Tarryn Fisher and Colleen Hoover was coming out in January, anyone else hear anything?

Michelle September 26, 2015 at 5:55 PM

Ok I feel better like Bev that I’m not alone with how I’m feeling about about a book. With End of Days, seriously I’m mad that it just lacks soooo much! Ugh I have high hopes yes but this is not even meeting the quarter mark. Same with Demonglass and the last book which I can’t even remember the name. At least I felt in that series, they had a slow decline and were enjoyable despite not living up to the first book. With End of Days, it’s like a different author is writing it – it will be a 2* for me…*cringe* but yeah…

Amy September 26, 2015 at 7:07 PM

Um, Maryse doesn’t bite her lip, she bites…

…peanuts. Yeah, y’all thought I was gonna go there, didn’t ya? :P

Fabi, I saw that! But that cover…not feelin’ the love for that one. :? That guy looks too old and scruffy to be Daemon.

Yep Cheryl, SGT and APTCH have very similar premises which (for once) is *exactly* what I want right now. Although my heart is hurting more for Roan than it did for Nick…and my heart hurt a BUNCH for Nick. :(

Speaking of SGT…Grey, it may not be the dark read you are craving but my (biased) vote is for Sweet Gum Tree!!!

Amy September 26, 2015 at 7:08 PM

Aw Carlotta… *hug* Your English is just fine. :D

Cheryl September 26, 2015 at 7:23 PM

Thanks Amy, I’ll look at APTCH. I am having trouble finding what I want to read next…nothing grabbing me. ;) *off to mix something yummy to drink, can’t hurt with deciding what to read*

Tessa September 26, 2015 at 7:39 PM

You’re welcome Grey. Both were good, though SGT isn’t dark, just good.

I decided to read More Than Lies next. Something about that blurb just gets to me.

bev September 26, 2015 at 7:49 PM

Ok. Chapter 12. Anyone else find that slightly odd?

Amy, Maryse is a lady who bites her lip instead of telling us how she really felt about The Princess Bride, Lmao.

Amy September 26, 2015 at 8:30 PM

*skips after Cheryl* Oooooh!! What are we drinking tonight???

Bev…true, but did you see what happened with Fisher’s Light? I was crying over it and loving it and recommended it to Maryse, but when she read it she was more like “meh”…and I ended up drinking a crow cocktail. ;)

bev September 26, 2015 at 10:28 PM

I hate to say it but Im getting to the point where I just want to skim ahead.

Amy September 26, 2015 at 10:35 PM

Yep Bev, that’s pretty much it except the recipe I used called for scotch, not rye whisky.

Personally, I preferred it when I substituted cake vodka for the whisky. ;)

bev September 27, 2015 at 12:30 AM

Finished.
*bites lip*
;-)
Now what to read tomorrow?

Cheryl September 27, 2015 at 8:42 AM

Amy, one too many of these….Stella Artois Cidre.

Read a couple on my tbr list, Boy Toy Chronicles- quick, fun read, nothing of substance, and finished Interlude (Rockstar #4).

The Allure of Dean Harper releases tomorrow, so at least I know what I’m reading tomorrow. Maybe it will release early!! *fingers crossed*

carlotta September 27, 2015 at 9:47 AM

ooow *_* thank u girls! you have advice for me? right now I’m looking for a new book…but nothing of dark! The last book I read was the Cityscape Trilogy of Jessica Hawkins….awesome *_* ( andand I found this thanks to the blog and your advice )

bev September 27, 2015 at 10:43 AM

What is everyone reading?

Not sure what to choose. It is one of those days they all look good. Its going to be a read/house work type of day. :-)

Twilla September 27, 2015 at 11:33 AM

Your list are the best! Thank you.

Anne September 27, 2015 at 12:11 PM

Happy Sunday everyone! What are you guys up to?

I haven’t read anything for the past week and a half. I’ve been getting into coloring for adults and having so much fun! But now I want to read something fun, lighthearted. Any recs?

Oh and can’t wait for The Allure of Dean Harper tomorrow *happy dance*

Tessa September 27, 2015 at 12:39 PM

Finished More than Lies. Good, but not great. It could have been a swoon worthy book but for two things. I never really got to know some of the secondaries, especially Matt. More though, she softened real heart ache or angsty things. I should have been screaming and have tears, but instead, meh. The author just needs to learn to get us to connect, because besides that, I really liked it.

fabi September 27, 2015 at 12:55 PM

Anne, what is colouring for adults?

Tessa September 27, 2015 at 1:01 PM

Fun? Lighthearted? Consequence of Loving Colton by Rachel Van Dyken. Had e in giggles and it was super sweet.

bev September 27, 2015 at 1:10 PM

Fabi & Anne this is funny as I just read this post this morning. Lazy Sunday with coffee catching up on blogs.

They also have this.

Never tried this but bet its a great stress buster. Also, have seen people use them to keep hands busy while listening at trainings.

Cheryl September 27, 2015 at 1:41 PM

Carlotta, have you read Cocky Bastard or any of the Christina Lauren books? They’re pretty lighthearted and funny. Also Game On series by Kristen Callihan and Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy. And btw, Carlotta your english is just fine. ;)

Michelle September 27, 2015 at 3:58 PM

I just started reading Shifting Dreams by Elizabeth Hunter. My new thing is to read one book and listen to another on the way to work. Having trouble finding good books with narration on kindle unlimited though. I’ve bought a few but I won’t buy an audiobook unless I’ve read it so kindle unlimited is nice to try them out.

Cheryl September 27, 2015 at 4:55 PM

Michelle, I recommend listening to That Boy. Hearing it makes it so much more funny!! Kindle version is free and whispersync is $1.99. :)

Michelle September 27, 2015 at 5:49 PM

Thanks Cheryl! I haven’t read that series and always like to get recs for audiobooks since some are not very good narration and do not match the quality of the books.

Tessa September 27, 2015 at 7:23 PM

Wicked as They Come by Delilah S. Dawson is on sale today for $1.99. :D

fabi September 27, 2015 at 7:39 PM

Those are great links Bev. Thanks. I’m intrigued.

Anne September 27, 2015 at 7:49 PM

Great links Bev! I love Johanna Basford books. They are very intricate but so beautiful! Fabi you should check them out :)

Thanks for the rec Tessa!

Kristina September 28, 2015 at 9:38 PM

Okay so I know some think The Air He Breathes wasn’t five star but I have to say…I thought it was soo 5 star!! Anything that makes me catch my breath in the middle of the night and makes my husband wake, must be good. But I also know everyone is different. But I was coming off Empahatic and Every Wrong Reason and Hollywood Dirt. Which I thought all were good, but this, this woke my hubby. Ha! Anyway totally reco The Air He breathes.

Amy September 29, 2015 at 10:56 AM

Kristina, that’s one of the many great things about this place…we don’t always have to agree on the awesomeness of a book and can be honest either way, even if it’s not the majority opinion. ;)

Jean September 29, 2015 at 11:15 AM

Kristina, I really did love The Air He Breathes! It took a while for me to feel connected, but when I finally did, there were plenty of tears, especially for Tristan while reliving his nightmare.
