A few new releases and bargain finds AND awesome sounding recommendations start our weekend off just right! BUT!! I’m finishing one up as soon as this list is posted and I’m loving it so hard, I can’t WAIT to get back to it… The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is EVERYTHING I had hoped for from another Mariana Zapata read and right now? I may be loving it even more than Kulti…
Maryse: I’m loving The Wall of Winnipeg and Me… I’ve just been conking out too early at night this week so I’m only halfway through it (but I think it’s an extra-long book so that explains it), and I’ve been hooked from the very start. I LOVE how she writes, I love how her heroine thinks, I LOVE that it’s only from her POV, and I LOVE that he’s true to his grumpiness, and I LOVE that it’s yet another super-slow burn, ’cause it makes it SO MUCH FUN!!!!
JulieO: I am reading Wall of Winnipeg (or WOW as I call it) and can’t put it down. V has some serious work on her hands. Just 20% in and loving it.
Ela: WoW and Me was REALLY good IMO and I didn’t care for Kulti so that says something for me or about my opinion???!
Stacey: I had been in a big time book slump so I started Wall of Winnipeg because I love Ms. Zapata’s books……book slump officially over, ***YAY, Happy Dance***!!! I devoured it and loved it, but now…..what to read next ***sigh***???
DG: OMSqueeeee!!! Finished The Wall of Winnipeg and Me!!! LOVED! LOVED! LOVED it! Mariana Zapata is the queen of the slow burn in my book. Loved the strong silent deep thinking H and the slow fall of the h. Makes it a sweeter love!
So my obvious recommendation (yes, already!!!) is this one, absolutely!
Also Michelle is looking for book recommendations for her vacation but she’s specific about her wants (If you have a suggestion for Michelle, leave it in the comments below):
Michelle: Hi Maryse, I’m heading on vacation and looking for a short series (no more than 3 books) that can’t be read as stand alone. I’m not into paranormal and love the angst and roller coaster of emotions a book takes me through. Is there anything you’d recommend?
P.S. I’m currently reading Fear of falling and so far I’m loving it…definitely recommend it if you haven’t read it.Maryse: Right off the bat, I want to suggest The Fish Tale series (3 books and now complete – extremely angsty but GORGEOUS), The Rule Breakers series (3 books, complete and about marital “arrangements” between two couples), and The Tristan and Danika series (3 books, girl dating a rock star and TONS of drama with that – also complete), and so many readers here LOVED the Eversea series (including my sister, as we speak – 3 books and complete about a famous actor and a regular girl…)
But there’s more!!
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

Wow, guess I have to move WoW up on my list with all the love it’s getting here!
I am still thinking about Bone Deep two days later! What am awesome book! And I’m reading Red Hill right now (almost finished) and really loving it! WoW will probably be perfect for me next!
Michelle should read Jack and Jill by Jewel E. Ann!!! Trilogy- awesome- laughter- tears- angst- loved it.
OMG YES!!! Tristan & Danika series for Michelle…yes, yes, YES!! 😀
Next best thing to T&D for the angst factor is the Avoiding series by K.A. Linde or the Love Me With Lies series by Tarryn Fisher, both of which have 3 books and are complete. And they’re both GREAT!
Give me a sec to catch my breath after all of that excitement…
Jean…don’t forget about Thicker Than Blood for a post-apocalyptic read. It has enough romance to take care of that craving, but the focus is on the close friendship bond between the two women. SO freaking good.
Oh Maryse, I just love when my sister texts me and loves a book I love. Especially when she finds one before me and texts me screaming you have to read this. So awesome to have sisters who love to read as much as we do. Definitely grabbed a few new to me off the list. I just love your blog!
Excited to start Wow & Me. Get me through the weekend and on to Tuesday!!
Jean: Bone Deep by Bonnie Dee? That’s one of my very favorites and even after several years. I remember it well! SO GOOD!
I’m biting my nails over the new WIR by A. Bishop. OMG, it’s so expensive though. EEK… what to do what to do what to do… still nipping at nails…
Kim!!!
My sister is usually into fantasy and historical so it blew my mind when she got excited over the raves on my “Eversea” reading order guide. She messaged me to say #1 was rocking her world, and then she posted her rave over #2 right on the blog Facebook page. I was thrilled!!!
I have to read it ASAP
I also need to continue with WiR. #1 was awesome.
Amy… Avoiding & Love Me with Lies <--- YES!!! And Michelle... I SO need to read Jack and Jill bad, so thank you for that trilogy recommendation for Michelle (and me!!) 😀
Jean I enjoyed Red Hill too… nice angsty tension there. 😉 And of course my love of all things chaos is in full swing in that one. 😛 LOL!
Quick three book read… The Wild Side by RK Liley. Super hot & I really liked the wild ride. Older writer, MUCH younger wild girl. What could go wrong??? LOL. Watching him go a little nuts was so fun.
I did get a kick out of #1!!! I need to finish that one, too…
Okay I just added another super-bargain that Ashley said was awesome and gave her a Beautiful Disaster feel (she 5-stars it). “Hustle”
Oh, that’s funny I just bought that.
And yes everyone needs to read the next Others book. Which ever one that is for you. Unless you’re Cheryl. She just needs to read the first one.
Adding Hustle to my BTR list also….sounds promising.
Soooo I went back to my ‘Books I bought but haven’t read yet’ stack and dove into How To Save A Life….definitely liked it. Again Emma Scott amazes me with how different this book and H/h are from the rest of her books. Totally love that!
Started Slip of the Tongue….not sure how I am feeling right now. Antsy- check. Sad – check. Want to dive into the book and ask the harsh questions – check. Would totally go to the bowling alley on Monday night in disguise – check. Not far in but MAN – it has a hold of me!
LOL!!!!!!
I’m on book 2 of the Jack and Jill series by Jewel E. Ann and they are unputdownable!!!! Jewel is such an intelligent writer!!! Her books have all the feels!!! Eversea series and Tristan & Danika are also hands down great great recommendations!!!
Whiskey Neat by Lani Lynn Vale is so so good!
Oh Amy, I have Thicker Than Blood! Thanks for the reminder!
Yes Teri, Bone Deep by Bonnie Dee! It was incredible!
Bev, I am excited for you! I have to get back to that series too….only read WiR and I don’t know why I didn’t continue!
Eversea…..I’ve had it on my TBR forever! Sigh….
DG, How to Save a Life is also high on my TBR. I love Emma Scott!
What? WHAT?!? How did I miss that Me Before You was being pushed back to June 3?? It was supposed to come out TODAY.
Jerks.
😐
I do have to say though how much I love seeing Bev get excited enough to use exclamation marks, since it doesn’t happen often. Something about it is just adorable. 😉
Do you blame her? Tuesday is going to be such blitz. I’ve no idea which to read first.
See I worry I use it too much.
Thank you Jean.
The Wall of Winnepeg and Me was so good! I was reading it so slowly because I didn’t want it to end. That hasn’t happened in a long time. I’m onto Whiskey Neat trying to get out of my WoW slump!
Bev, which will we read first? Seriously, This is a conundrum!
It is. I’m leaning towards MiF. Michelle is reading it first. But MichelleS is reading Mercy first. And it is a work night with Briggs being faster read. But it’s MiF. *shrug *
I am buying so many books releasing Tuesday that I need a week’s vacation just to read and do nothing else. Maybe I need to take a Spring Break.
What are you reading first Fabi?
I do sometimes wish that books could be released on a Friday. It will be hard for me to not read MiF straight through. But not sure I can wait until the weekend.
Probably MiF.
O…M…G.

*claps hands*
*squeals*
*stomps feet rapidly*
*keels over*
Just finished the final instalment of The Ground Rules. Anyone else read all of them? It was ok way to end the series but didn’t leave me with the same rush as the original.
I finished The Wall of Winnipeg and Me today and it was friggin’ fantastic. I can’t even take it with her books. THEY BURN SO GOOD! I hope Zac gets a story. I’m so lost now that it’s over. Curse you, Ms. Zapata, curse you for writing such wonderfully tortuous books *shakes fist*
Jean, I am right there with you – love Emma Scott books! She never disappoints either!
Soooo where to begin with Slip of the Tongue….it brought all kind of feels for me. I was antsy, stomach clinched, frustrated, and even a little mad and sad! Jeez! But I settled in, pushing through….AND then there was that LOVE. The one I was waiting on….and it was ALL I expected it to be! YAY! It made the rough ride worth it!!!
Michelle – for a angst, cliffhanger 3 book series I would recommend Deborah Bladon books. I REFUSE to read any of her books until all in the series is live. Bladon knows how to write a gasping cliffhanger!
I read Hustle a few weeks ago and it was an awesome book! One of the best college romances I’ve ever read! I highly recommend it!!
I finished WoW and loved it. Talk about a slow-burn, and love to hate story. Gave me all the “feels.” Just would have liked a little “more” towards the end.
Bev, thanks for the subtle hint. I haven’t forgotten- WiR is on my tbr. Just have to be in the right mood to read PNR. I promise I will read it this year.
Amy, I loved the cover and the blurb, but damn AUGUST!!! Ugh!
Going to start Beautiful Boss now.
Michelle, for angst and a series- I agree with Tristan & Danika, and Avoiding (K.A. Linde). Also rec: Beautifully Awake series- interrelated series with Abruption (Riley Mackenzie), Driven(K. Bromberg), Kane trilogy (Stylo Fantome), Manwhore series (Katy Evans), The Running series (Suzanne Sweeney), Groupie (Ginger Voight), The Storm series (Samantha Towle), and Infinity series (Layne Harper). Have a great vacation! 🙂
Cristina thanks, moving that up on my tbr.
DG, I agree, it was a different story and such complex H/h. I loved it!
Also adding Jack and Jill series to tbr.
Cheryl, I knew my mind went blank with recommendations. Kane series was so WTF angst and insanity. I loved it. Also, KA Linde’s Off the Record series. My heart still clenched over that, though none affected me as much as Tristan and Danika.
The whole Jack and Jill trilogy is Kindle Unlimited, so I got it. 🙂 With all this love for it, I have to try it. I also got Hustle. I’m convinced.
Okay, can you all give me a past/present warning. I liked the last book I read, Forbid Me by M Robinson. However, you know how much better it would have been if it didn’t flip between past and present throughout the whole book?
Yes, the Kane series! I couldn’t think of the name! That would be a great vacation read!
Started WoW this morning and now RL getting in the way…*huff…pout*
I just started it myself, Jean.
Really into it so far.
Tessa, yes, Off The Record, I thought about that one, but forgot to include it on my list!
Those that have read Wow & Me, would you do it? It is against the law, but maybe I’ve seen it to often in stories for it to seem bad. But…..I don’t know. What he is offering….
Bev, if the guy was Aiden??? Oh ya!!! This book was not on our Friday list but not long ago, Forbid Me by M Robinson, a 5 star read for me. Anyone else read it yet? I just finished it!! A book I could not put down!! I read my books on my phone & any chance I had I was reading this book. Forbiden love so wrong but so right!!
I just finished it. 🙂 I really liked it. My only issue is the constant flip between past and present. That’s my pet peeve. Everyone else hate CH, I hate tense flipping. The angst they would have had without that flipping would have been insane.
Oops Tessa, I thought I read all previous comments. Sometimes the flipping from past to present bothers me too but not with this book. Hustle was really good. No flipping!!
🙂 It;s alright. Sometimes the wall of words get intimidating. The fact that I liked the book with that flipping says something about the book.
I have Hustle and WoW. I’m torn as to which to start first.
Either one is awesome!!! Since everyone talking about WOW go for that one!!!
Bev, did you like the Risky Business series from Tiffany Snow? Im at 35% on book 1 and really liking it so far.
The Ground Rules series, I am so upset the way it ended! I know some of you are ok with the way it ended but not this chick! Ugh!!
I love Tiffany Snow’s books!! I have to do a re-read of the Risky Business before I can start the 2nd & 3rd I think.
Hi all.
Trilogies… Night Owl by M. Pierce, Love Me With Lies by Tarryn Fisher, Tristan & Danika definitely…
May dip my toe into WoW…
Enjoying Wow but just read a post that had a link to the British Bake Off show that I keep hearing about. Had to watch an episode. But next they go to Scotland so may be two episodes, lol. All that chocolate & that lemon cake. Yum. Have you all watched it?https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCaz1BevJePy9F2slz3ErY-w/videos
Uh-oh. Power flickered. Need to start charging just in case.
50% into WoW……perfection. This is my 2016 Hollywood Dirt. Love, love, love.
Can’t wait for Stuck-Up Suit by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland. Releases 11 April.
Lisa, I’m excited for that one too!!
I’m at 20% of WoW. Didn’t get to read at all yesterday!
I need to start a book. Decisions decisions!!! Wish I was still reading Wow!!!
34% into WoW. But going to have to put it down for a while soon.
I’m only 22% into WoW. I’m loving it so far, though I was up playing Guild Wars 2 until late last night. Now I gotta wait to read the review. 🙂
I read Dissent by Jessica Gadziala, I really enjoyed it. Quick read. About a female metal singer and a guy that was a virgin until the age of 25 raised with some religious ideals… some smoking hot smut. A stalker plot… it kept me interested.
WoW got 5 stars from Maryse I see… so yeah, that one is next for me.
Just saw this and can’t wait for it to be released!! A new book by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland and it’s a standalone!!! :)))

Blood Lust (The Preternaturals Book 1) by Zoe Winters is free.
Crickets.
Ok, this is important. Decisions need to be made. Tuesday. What one are we reading first? And where are we talking about it?
I have two hours to relax and started WoW. So into it already. I love her female characters and I ‘get’ them. I have to finish up for Tuesday though. Bev, you know I’m reading MiF first. Soooooo excited…please Simon and Meg…just please 😉
The Ultimate slow burn, MIF! *grins* What does it say that Michelle is begging them? Hehehe I can do either book. Both of the series are so good.
Cheryl, I still have to read Cocky Bastard. I’m behind on the duo’s goodness.
Bev – mercy for me – will be a quicker read, don’t you think???
And now the library loan came in… Oh no… Throne of Glass #4. Panic mode. How fast can I read it?
Of course the Michelles are going to go in two different directions. Lol.
hahaha that’s funny. I have 3 or 4 I’m buying on Tuesday and 3 already purchased that I want to read NOW. Soooo, if y’all go with MiF on Tuesday I will too. Otherwise, I might see if it’s available on Audible and schedule it next for listening.
ROFL MichelleS. guess what came into my library? Sword of Glass, Red Queen 2, That’s gonna be AFTER the other two and WoW. Too many goodies at once, after a major lag in books. I don’t know whether to be excited or overwhelmed.
Is anyone else thrown by the name of the team? Just does not sound right.
I was more thrown by NFO. 0.0
I know. Thought it was an error at first. Then started to think of LFO. Now have THAT song in my head.
Just saw a review and looks like some interesting Bran & Mercy interactions. Love Bran.
That’s awesome. I love Bran too. I wish we had mote of him in the stories.
Did someone say Bran? LOOOOVE Bran. Can’t wait!!!!
Bev – the team name threw me too – you think she was going for The Three Hundreds – as in the Movie 300? The story of the 300 Spartans? That’s my guess. It was weird though, yes.
Kulti had way more soccer in it – made me feel like she really “got” soccer. Didn’t get that feel for this one – with regards to her understanding football I mean.
I know we have a bunch of highly anticipated books coming out tomorrow. So dig in this week, because the following week there is a treat for those of you who read mm.
Beyond the Sea by Keira Andrews due out March 15th.
You HAVE to read this one. It’s a BEAUTIFUL love story. I finished it last night and I am still in a total book fog
I just finished Tiffany Snow’s Risky Business series!! It was awesome, amazing, couldn’t put down books!!! Book hangover 2 days in a row!!! I had to re-read book 1 as I read it a while ago. Loved that I read it when all 3 books were out!! Those CH’s sometimes drive me crazy!!! Drama, suspense & lots of romance my fav!!! Highly recommend!!! Heavy sigh!!! Hate when it’s over!!! Also loved her No Turning Back series!!!
