I wasn’t expecting that ’cause, come on, it’s a zombie book! But it did. And now I’m sad…but in the way that I love… The first book is pretty light and focuses more on the characters trying to survive and their relationships with each other, and what makes it light is that things just line up well for their survival…one of those implausible-but-not-impossible sort of things. It was kind of repetitive and monotonous at times but perfect for easy reading and pretty good. BUT…I was blindsided in this second book with what happened…“

He wins her over, and they start a beautiful life. However, the more Fletcher helps Savannah, the more he falters with his own healing.“
I’m trying to be good, and then you go and put this list up! I’m trying to stick to my TBR or Kindle Unlimiteds, and then, I couldn’t resist Vigilante. Thankfully, Until the End of the World is a KU book, so that worked.
I read #Nerd, and it was seriously cute. I will get #Hater, but AFTER the 20th! I’m trying not to touch a single book until Burned and Seducing Destiny are in my grasp. *insert evil cackle here*
Tessa, I have said it 50x bu can not wait for Burned.
I’ve seen Scribd offer 3 month trials and am tempted to try. But want to wait until I can really * use* it, lol. I’ve tried trials before & because of tbr or whatever read maybe 2 books, lol.
*grins* I love Kindle Unlimited. My TBR suffers a bit, but I’ve yet to run out of books I want to read that are in their selection. Off the Record and Bright Side were Kindle Unlimited, which hooked me to the whole thing. I think the book choices is what keeps me.
Read Amour Amour by Krista Ritchie on Kindle Unlimited. It was really good. I like Kindle Unlimited but I wish it was easier to find and sort on it.
Ohh! I read Call Sign Karma! I loved it!
I envy your self-control, ladies. I couldn’t do the Kindle Unlimited because I have a crazy obsession with ebooks. I love knowing they are there anytime I want them, even if I have already read them, and I love looking at all of my “pretties”…’cause I’m a dork like that. 😉
I think I’m going to start Vigilante’s Lover tonight, especially since Jean liked it. I told her she was the book guinea pig for that one…and it sounds like she found us a winner!! 😀
I can’t wait for Burned either, Bev!!! I am trying to time it just right so I am not in the middle of anything Tuesday. KMM has never disappointed me, so I am hoping for the same thrill that the Fever series gave me. You think we’ll get some V’Lane??? I can’t remember where he was last! It’s been so long. I should be re-reading Fever, but Mason List is too good to abandon. Even if he just whispers something in her ear – I am all flushed! Talk about slow romantic build up!
And, of course, I have to go pick up Murder of Crows at the library before they re-shelf it! Am I going to be able to finish it before Tuesday?
And why oh why is Burned released on same day as new Fae Chronicles? Sorry Ryder…. V’Lane was an even worse Fae Prince than you! Burned it is!
I am on cloud nine for reading right now.
Oh, and because I’m such a dork…
It’s A Date, Time and Time Again, In My Bed and Don’t Deny Me.
Those are all book titles from above, right? Well, read those titles again without pausing as if they are one sentence. LOL!!!!
Or maybe it’s just me who finds that funny… 😕 Uhhhh, Cougar martini anyone? Ya know, in honor of that MILF book. *snicker*
He’s a bit pushy, though in that last title, Amy. Or is it SHE? 😛
Oh Maryse, on the lists the girls made of the best books they read for 2014 There was one called That Boy/That wedding. It is just the best book I have read in ages and my family think I have gone mad as I keep on laughing all the way through the second book that wedding. It’s hysterical. I can’t recommend it enough. There’s jokes all the way through better I think than Wall banger. And that was funny.
Lost in Translation by SL Scott was released this year too!
I meant this week^^^
Can’t wait for Burned and Seducing Destiny too, although I need to read Iced first *sips Cougar martini* Thanks Amy!!
Melinda, that was one on my list- so funny!! I listened to the audio version while I was running. Tripped up a few times, but I think it was even funnier listening to it. Can’t wait for That Baby. 😉
Michelle S, you said it exactly! Why are those two released the same day? Of course I’m going to buy them. How can I not? Burned first, but boy! There will be no pause between that and Seduced.
Amy, the trick to KU is simple. If after reading it, you have to have it, you buy it. Most books I only read once, so I’m good to go. Though, I think I’ll be buying Bright Side. That was too good to not re-read.
Ohhhhh it’s a SHE, Maryse. A very bossy she. 😉
Maybe I should try KU then, Tessa. Although, the thought of not having the book at my fingertips whenever I want it gives me a little bit of anxiety. Don’t ask me why. Just don’t.
Cheryl, watch out, my drinks are strong! Just like I like my men. Er, I mean man. My hubby. Oh lord… *blushing and covering face*
Why do you have to buy a KU book? It’s there in your virtual KU library available to reread anytime and as many times as you want to.
Amy bring on the strong… drinks, yeh drinks! 🙂
I’ve heard that really you don’t own the ebooks you buy.
I like the idea of subscription but it’s not something I’d want to commit to until I read down my tbr, plus know what publishers are contributing. I know oyster & scribd both have some of the big publishing houses.
I’ve also have seen that some author s are unhappy with what happened to their sales after joining KU. But do not know much about that.
MichelleS MOC to Burned, epic. You may not want to come back to contemporary.
On the other thread that is a good question. Not sure that I want zombies to rule, lol. But they do add to the suspense. I think sort of like western I like seeing how people survive and thrive. It sort of changes the rules too. In that I may think in a contemp someone is tstl if they don’t stay put and call the cops. Now this can be true in historical or post apoc, but for the most part they have to face the danger with their own wits.
Ok off to Wrecking Ball wish me luck, but just saw these on a blog and had to share. Haven’t chance to look through them all but I really like what I see.

I forgot that Seducing Destiny is not the last book in the Fae Chronicles and now this. Just got a newsletter from Amelia Hutchins and here’s what she says:
“The next book in the Fae Chronicles won’t be out for a little bit after this one, and here is why. We are almost to the end of the series. With that in mind, I am starting a new series that will tie in with the Fae Chronicles so that you can continue to see your favorite characters. You will be getting a taste of the new alpha Lucian soon. He is a lot of testosterone and one dirty boy, too. His book will tie in with a few of the guards so it’s essential that his series be started before I get to that point. My goal is to keep giving you what you want; because you are the most amazing fans an author could ever ask for.
Zahruk and Ristan’s book will tie in to this book of the Fae Chronicles, which is why the other series will take a little bit to go out. Those one’s need to be resolved so the ending will be as it needs to be in Ryder and Syn’s book.”
Also here is a link for a online release party for Seducing Destiny to be held on the 23rd of January at 12PM PST.

I’m off to the library to pick up Iced. I’m a little confused about the fever series. I know Iced is Dani O’Malleys novel, but Burned is back to Mac? And the series is still not complete?
I’m starting Yours Always. I read Never Never today…seriously it was good but I thought it would be more book-sized?! I hope they come out with the next one soon because I’ve reached my CH quota after that and Golden Son!
Cheryl, I believe it will follow Mac & Dani both. I’m very curious and nervous.
Michelle I clicked Yours Always too. Let me know what I’m in for. Like is it a Carnage kinda of heartbreak. Oh and Amy my little pretties LMAO!
So, Wrecking Ball, I should have paid more attention. There was an aspect of it I try to stay away from for the most part. So off for some fresh air and then, hmm, maybe a cowboy book or Neurotica looks sweet & fun.
On side note about Wrecking Ball. I am not a big drinker so I may be off….but whoa. That was a lot of alcohol, jolted me out of the story a bit.
‘Wrecking Ball’ by BN Toter is on sale price and I read this emotional and full of angst book a while back and really enjoyed it.
Yeh Bev, I know what you’re saying about Wrecking Ball. That was the story within a story I was talking about before. *hugs*
Thanks Cheryl. When it came to the first flash back scene I thought, Oh, this is what Cheryl meant”, lol. Then bam.
Curious as to what you think of Iced. I really came to like Dani and KMM wrote it in a way that I really do not know where she is going to take her. I also know who I want her hero, when she is older, to be but I’m not 100% sure he will be. It’s fun.
Bev, you know who you want her hero to be? I am so torn between all three of them!
*perks up*
Did someone say “a lot of alcohol”? 😛
So KMM has the first 40 pages up of Burned as part of the countdown to release day on her Facebook page!!!
I may have glanced at it.. eek!!!! So excited for Tuesday!!!!
Uh oh did you not like Wrecking Ball then Bev? I had it on my list for next week but I might max out on angst before then. After Yours Always (which is really good so far but will report back), I may need some PNR and was leaning towards starting the Arcana Chronicles. I should just suck it up and reread at least Iced so I can jump on the Burned bandwagon but I’m still being obstinate for some reason about waiting to continue with that series.
Amy, lol. It was insane. They kept waking up with hangovers & commenting on their livers.
Fabi, Ryodan(sp?) all the way.
Michelle, Yes please join us. I probably should re read Iced, and may, but in the mood for a comfort read. We will see.
On Wrecking Ball it’s hard to say. It dealt with a lot in what seemed like a short book. I’m not sure that it succeeded. But there is a part of the story that brings up painful things for me and I’m kind of left with that feeling.
Back to Burn……give in to the peer pressure.=-O
Random but I can’t remember who liked The Fall on Netflix but got an email saying Series 2 is up.
Alright I pulled up Iced to reread. I really wanted to reread the entire series before Burned. Maybe I’ll just start after my current read and see where I end up by Tuesday.
Michelle, the Fall is really good. Well, the first season, have not seen season 2 yet. Gillian Anderson plays a very strong lead, though I do not agree with all her ideas, but really like how strong and competent she is portrayed.
Jamie Dornan is great in it. I have not read fifty so not sure how he should be portrayed, but it amuses me to think of the actor bringing this vibe. Honestly he was so this character to me I’m not sure I could see him different, lol.
My library did not have Red Rising, but did find a couple others on my tbr.
Plus grabbed a micro history & put on hold a scifi for my reading challenge. Now.just have to read them all.
Bev, crazy busy today, so haven’t started Iced yet. Also picked up Shadowfever to skim and re-read the ending before starting Iced. Will look at that tonight and then start Iced.
Michelle I know what you mean about being obstinate because I feel that way and I think it’s because the series will not be finished with Burned and I’m a little confused as to how many more books there will be before the series ends.
I feel like I’m being emotionally assaulted with Yours Always. I can’t stop crying. I had to stop reading because I couldn’t see it was that bad of an ugly cry…oh I need a break to compose…
Ok I finished and it took me until this morning to recover. It’s a super ugly cry guarantee.
Donna, is it as bad as Carnage…hmm for me, no, because it doesn’t end on a such a low note. It has heartbreak but finds a semi-HEA.
Ok I’m continuing with rereading the Fever series because you all peer pressured me 😛 The second time is quicker though so I think I can get to Burned this week. Not Tuesday because I went back to the beginning but it was good I did that since I forgot more than I thought.
Cheryl, as far as I know there will be 9 books.
Thank you Michelle!
Michelle, lol. Sorry. The whole series, whoa!
I saw that she is going to supply a guide. I’m sure I’ll rely heavily on it.
