A real, non-bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation. Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister…” OH OH! LOL!!!
- The Perfect Game: A Novel (The Game Series) by J. Sterling <— JUST WENT LIVE TODAY!! “You thought you knew everything there was to know about Jack and Cassie’s story…but you were wrong. From New York Times best-selling author J. Sterling, we dive headfirst back into the epic love story that started it all, The Perfect Game, but this time from Dean Carter’s point of view… With never-before-seen scenes and fresh new dialogue, Dean’s point of view is an emotional journey through relationships and the trials that test them. - The Girl With All the Gifts by M. R. Carey <— DYSTOPIAN THRILLER ALERT!! So out of last night’s 11 scary books that went on surprise sale, only 5 are still bargain priced. Wow that was quick!!! But what’s very cool is THE ONE I was dying for (this one right here), and hoping would go on sale is still on sale, and it’s ranked #5 in ALL of Kindle books right now. This might be your last chance at this price, if y’all wanna get in, in our spooky buddy-read. 😀

She’s got a new release coming out soon, and I just found out about it and posted it below, and 2.) Lauren LOVES THIS one like crazy, so I didn’t think we should miss this recommendation: “I know I’ve said this a million times but I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! Opened up my tablet this morning AND ta da Pucked Up magically appeared in my library!!!! Thinking this will be my next read for the day. In need of something a little lighter after wrapping up Commodity last night. Great read but it roughed me up a bit. I’m feeling a little fragile at the moment.

I have no idea what just happened!! Sorry!!
hahaha!!! I love hearing from you Linda, so i’m keeping ’em. *snort* 😛
I tried to one-click This Regret but apparently I already have it, so thank you for bringing it to my attention again so I can move it up. *happy wiggle* From the blurb: “…with an ending that no one saw coming.” YAY! I hope so!!
THAT story? I’m not going to say which one ’cause that wouldn’t be right, but if you’ve heard me ranting about it before and about how much I HATE the H then you’ll know which one I’m talking about. And if not, that’s okay…I just need to vent and y’all are my safe place for book venting. 😉 My blood pressure just shot up and now I want a drink. And I’m making the angriest of angry faces right now at my iPad. Hubby just asked me why I look like I’m ready to cut someone. I told him it’s a book thing…he wouldn’t understand. *snort*
Well, dayum Amy! Could it be a number above that is between 1 and 3??
I know Pucked 2 is a standalone but didn’t those characters get together at the end of Pucked??
It’s 5pm to 7pm Amy… which means it’s happy hour, so go get that drink. 😛
*scrolls up* Yep Cheryl, it’s one of those three…and I haven’t read Pucked yet so I guess I’m giving away the book after all. 😛
You know, it’s kind of odd but the more time goes on, the more I hate the H in that story. Initially I liked the angst of the book followed by the eventual relief from all of that angst (good lord, my chest was sooo splotchy while reading it!), but once that wore off then I realized just how deep my hatred for him went. I can’t think of another book (at this moment, at least) that I have felt this way about! I always manage to get riled up over this book when I am hormonal. *snicker*
Hang on…
*looks at clock*
Hmmm, but it’s not even 3:00 here…
*shrugs*
It’s past 5:00 for YOU, so that’s good enough for ME…margarita laced with a shot of Grand Marnier???
I just finished Wrong (OMG, I Loved It) and Pucked Up will be a perfect follow-up!!!!!
It’s way past 5 now, so I’m having a homemade opal basil (purple basil) fresh squeezed lemonade and raspberry vodka and OH. EM. GEE!!!!!!
Funny Amy!!
Thinking about the characters of Pucked2, I looked at Pucked and now I’ve been sucked into reading it again. I just love how funny and awkward they are!! 😉
OMG Maryse that sounds so yummy!
Opal basil?? Oh wow, you HAVE to let us know how that drink tastes! Now I’m going to be on a mission to track down some of that basil…
The closest I have had to that sort of drink was a margarita my friend made with grilled pineapple, cilantro and jalapeno…it sounds odd but it was soooo good.
Okay here is the recipe I use every time I make it (and I grew my own basil. regular Sweet Italian Basil and Opal Basil – which is the purple kind)
It tastes just like the usual basil, so I say use any basil you can find. The purple one just gives it a nice color:

And then!!!??? Add raspberry vodka! 😛 *snort*
And then pour in a martini glass to make it look fancy!! I’m saving that recipe to make later but for now…
*swipes Maryse’s basil, raspberry vodka and lemonade drink* I need this after watching Walking Dead.
*lifts glass in cheers and then gulps it down*
*sputters*
Wow I must have been out of it to not even realize you stole my yummy refreshing drink, Amy!!! 😛
It was good, huh? 😉
Yeh, another use for my homegrown basil!!!
Mmmm…Amy why do you hate the hero? I ask you that because I usually agree with your opinions on the books and on the H!so I will not buy it if I think I get angry with the hero…and what’s means number between 1 and 3? 🙂
Brando by J.D. Hawkins also went live.
I’m reading Commodity and O.M.G. LOVING IT!
SO good, Maryse. At least in my head it was. 😉
Now you and Cheryl have me wanting to start up another herb garden with cilantro, basil, tarragon, rosemary, chives…yummy!
Ooh! I’m craving some brussels sprouts sauteed with chopped pancetta. Looks like I’m making a run to the store. 😀
I just caught something from the list, Maryse…#2 up there is The Other Game. The Perfect Game was book 1 from that series. 😉
Carlotta…knowing that you despise the same thing that I do when it comes to certain *ahem* actions by the H in a story, I definitely think you want to avoid that book. Aw, screw it…I’m going to say which one it is since I’m just starting to sound ridiculous with my attempt at cryptic comments. It’s the book I just mentioned to Maryse, The Perfect Game. I’m sure other ladies here really liked it, but the H’s decisions just ruined him – and subsequently the book – for me. 😕 The Other Game (the one up there) is the same story from his brother’s POV.
YIKES AMY! I linked the wrong one… LOL! Okay I gotta fix. 😉
I just finished Commodity and honestly don’t know what to think or how I feel about it…
So excited about Pucked Up! Loved Pucked so this is a must read for me 😀
I read The Perfect Game a year or so ago & it made my stomach hurt. Bad. When I think about it….. my stomach hurts. Soooooo, kinda scared to read the POV of Jack’s brother…..cuz, OMG….I was SO f**king pissed at Jack at the end of book 1.
You guys make fancy drinks. My hubby watches ALL the 24/7 news channels & the other night I suggested a drinking game…..drink every time they say Benghazi. We didn’t have enough alcohol in the house.
LOL Lauren! We need to do that here…like, scroll through Amazon and take a shot every time we see a stepbrother book. We’ll be lit in no time!! 😛
And kudos to you (I’m not being sarcastic either!) if you can tolerate the brother’s book. I think the reason why I’ve had such a hard time with Jack from TPG and have hated him so much is because the moments leading up to THAT part were in his POV…for some reason it just made it more sickening and he was ruined for me after that. Man, why does that book that rile me up so much?!? Ugh! I need to stop ranting about it so much…
