<— Did you read it, yet??!! ‘Cause author Christina Lee wrote a Bennett point of view excerpt from her bookΒ All of YouΒ for the readers who have been swooning over him π Like ME!!! Sheesh… swoon is putting it mildly. I was a puddle of love-mush. And it seems a bunch of you were, too!
Val:Β I just finished this. I started when I woke up and didnt stop. Couldnβt stop. So good. I havenβt met a guy I loved this much in a long time. Thanks for the recommendation. I didnβt want it to end. Except for I needed it to so I could resume my duties as mom to my kids…
Maryse:Β Valβ¦ it gave you *that* feeling again, didnβt it? I dunno β I canβt say exactly what it is, but all I can say is she did him right. *love*
Noelle:Β This book was sooo good! Bennett is one of my favorite heroes. Itβs really hard finding contemporary romance books with virgin heroes so I was so excited when I was reading this.
Tanya:Β I have to agree, I really enjoyed this one as well. The build up was almost painful but so worth it in the end. Bennett was amazing. Bad boy look with a heart of gold. Intoxicating combination.
Maryse:Β Excruciating pain, but the best kind of it. Exactly one of my favorite things to feel, while reading.
And guess what? I have the exclusive Bennett POV scene right here. BUT FIRST!!!! If you haven’t read All of YouΒ yet,Β read it first (before this special POV scene), ’cause it’s so much more fun not knowing what he’s thinking while we’re trying to flirt with him from across the room.
What am I talking about? Check out my review here. This scene (in her POV) CINCHED it for me… and after the fact, is even more fun now that we have this little “Bennett tidbit”…
BUT!!! If you haven’t read the book yet, look away!!! It’s not really a spoiler but best read only after her version of the events. π Ready? Here goes:
The first time Bennett sees Avery:
My back settled against the kitchen counter as I explained to Nate how I was moving all my shit to a new apartment in the morning. βSo I need to call it an early night.β
Nate said something about being closer to campus but my eyes kept swimming to this beautiful girl sitting on the arm of a chair in the other room. Her one petite leg was crossed over the other and her mouth curved downward. What I wouldnβt give to see her eyes light up and her pouty lips lift into a smile. Her face was all rounded curves, her blond hair long and wavy, and her eyelashes fanned her cheeks as she eyed the contents of her cup.
When she stood and gripped her drink, I knew she was way out of my league. She exuded an air of confidence that some would pay for. The kind of girl who knew exactly what she wanted and how to get it. I was saving myself for the right girlβbut one hot and heavy kiss from her and Iβd be a goner.
As she walked toward me and adjusted her top, a flicker of uncertainty crossed her face a moment before one eyebrow rose in determination. It made me curious about that other girlβthe vulnerable one that hid beneath the cool exterior.
βHot Damn,β Nate said before moving to the keg to talk to her. I figured it was for the best. Something about that girl left me feeling unsettled or maybe undone. She seemed downright dangerousβI mean shit, I could barely tear my eyes from her. The best thing to do was just take my sorry ass home. No matter how much effort it took to steady my breaths as this gorgeous creatureβs gaze sought mine, I knew plain and simpleβI needed to get the hell away from her.
Ahhhhhh so he did notice me… I mean… her. π It’s so great to know what he was thinking there, ’cause I was in HER head and I was as bummed as she was that he wasn’t looking back at us. That he wasn’t returning the interested looks that we were throwing his way.
Well, I mean, I was bummed AS her… but was THRILLED as the reader, knowing we’d have to work for that tattooed, dimpled cutie. He was playing hard to get. Actually more like self-preservation. I get it.Β And boy as he worth the effort. This guy is the ULTIMATE book boyfriend!
Wow!!!!! I didn’t expect too much from this book, but as usual after your review I thought: Well, now I have to read it! hehe And once I started, I just couldn’t put it down!!! So, If I had to use five words for this one…. sweet, romantic, hot, angst, INTENSE. What about yours, Maryse? π
Your words are perfect! And since I LOVE 5 words, I’ll try, too!
Sweet, seductive, steamy, intense, consuming. π
And!! Five more words: One of my absolute favorites! π
Yay! I loved Bennett! And his POV rocks π I’m so glad we didn’t know what he was thinking, it was more fun not knowing ;))))
You find the best books Maryse! This was fantastic. Can’t stop thinking about it. Bennett reminded me of Kellen (without the whole man whore part).
Aaahhh! I can’t get enough of him. I haven’t loved a character this much since Kellan. Or Travis.
Thanks again for feeding my obsession with Bennett.
Love it. I just love Bennett!!!!
