Happy New Release day (and SECOND day of spring)!! 😉 Almost 100 new releases today (and a few psych thrillers that have me extra excited, like that one there to the left!!), but there’s also plenty of romance to swoon over too. Like usual, I’ve highlighted a bunch to help you sort, plus there’s my mini-blurb-jolt list of the ones that have my attention big time!
Like: The Coppersmith Farmhouse (sounds like an epic read and the reviews are AMAZING! Single mom inherits a house in a new town, and the hot, rugged Sheriff is being a jerk!! YAY ME!!! :P) The Storm (Irish champion fighter and then he meets her…), Nemesis (that one there to the left!! HOLY MOLY that blurb has two weird cool psych-thriller/sci-fi-like twists, and I think will make for riveting reading. Each year he comes and murders her, and then she comes back to life, but then the blurb totally get’s weird. But cool-weird… I’m intrigued!), If I’m Found (another psych-thrillery looking one, but I didn’t read the blurb ’cause it’s a sequel. That said, book #1 has her on the run as a suspect for murder and she’s trying to figure what’s happening), His to Seduce (Doctor that leaves his job due to a devastating circumstance that leaves him reeling, so he bartends instead, and meets her…), The Secrets You Keep (psych-thriller!! Her new husband is being secretive and women are being murdered…). Eeeeeeeeeep!!! 😀 and Playing To Win (she’s had a forever crush on this hockey star and she finally gets to meet him, but she has a makeover so he’ll actually notice her) and Take Me Back (They were once so in love and got married, and a few years later, everything is falling apart, and he’s going to do everything to unbreak them) *Oh my heart is breaking and swooooooning at the same time*
Speaking of swooning, did you guys know I fell in love this weekend? Oh I DID. BIG TIME!!! And in case you missed it, here’s my review of my latest, greatest book-boyfriend (and I haven’t had one in AGES).
This book? One of the best, most realistic, most funny, most nerve-wracking, most slow-burn swoon-worthy books I’ve ever read. SO GOOD in fact, that I gave it FIVE STARS PLUS!!!!!! —> Book Review – The Opposite of You by Rachel Higginson <– I PROMISE. THIS STORY IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ. And when there was a bit of resistance from some in my crew in regards to the cover (It’s true, not everyone is into that look even though it’s super-trendy right now), I HAD to insist!!!!!!!
Maryse: You guys I’m totally not a beard person… noooooo. And I know the main character in The Opposite of You has that “trendy tattooed, beard guy” look, but trust me… This book is SO awesome, so well written, and he is SO amazing (the ONE character I’ve fallen SO hard for in years… I mean almost Travis-hard), that I don’t even care about his beard.
In fact, I suddenly find myself attracted to that cover, because of how I grew to “know” his sweet, moodiness.
So choose yourself a sexy favorite (in beard-mode) and just picture him… as you read this. It is AMAZING!!!!
Okay and also don’t forget to check out the other yesterday post (the Monday earlybird releases have some of our favorite heavy-hitters on there) ➔ Monday’s Early Bird Book Releases!!

- A Discovery of Witches: A Novel (All Souls Trilogy, Book 1) by <— PARANORMAL/FANTASY ROMANCE on super-sale right now. I read this one years ago… (here’s my review).
Lynn: I just finished Discovery of Witches and loved it – I think it will appeal to to readers who like history mixed with their fantasy – being a bit older (I am) gives the reader a different perspective and adds to the appeal of this book
Lisa: A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. It is a trilogy but really good….the H/h

The last thing she needs is attitude from the town’s sheriff, the most perfectly attractive and ruggedly handsome man she’s ever laid eyes on—and a complete jerk…” And Linda also LOVED this one (and it’s been making waves on my newsfeed these past few days!!)
Linda: Maryse I just finished an absolutely best read and I don’t think I’ve seen it on your blog. The Copper Smith Farm House by Devney Perry. Couldn’t put it down!!! Josh Duhamel
Loves Simon.
Simon says.
“Maryse, read me and bring the new lemon oreos. “
JD 😀
Dang… Y’all thirsty this morning!
For coffee.
I was thinking for Josh Duhamel or Simon… But if you want coffee… I’ll keep him occupied all by little lonesome.
LEMON OREOS?!!????
YUM
There are Lemon oreos?
Apparently there are, I just saw them in the store last week. I think they may of been around though.
Know what I love? Lemon curd. Buy a jar and put some on short bread…yum.
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LEMON OREOS???? THAT’S LIKE AGAINST THE LAW!
HEY! I’M KEEPING JOSHY BUSY WHILE THE HUSSIES DUKE IT OUT OVER NASSTYYYYY LEMON OREOS 🙂 🙄
They have Peeps Oreos – gross.
Simon says “Read me already”
What the hey Ela!?! You just busy yourself arguing the atrocity of lemon oreos. I got Joshy covered!
Nah I’m good Robin, but thanks *hands her Justin Bieber*
Um…Ela…
Uh Yeah??? No Justin??? Here *hands over Joshy and huddles Gandy*
*whew* Gandy is all yours! FYI, Diego Boneta is my backup so I’m licking him too just in case you get greedy/handsy…
The new Sarina Bowen one sounds good. Ack! I have too much to read.
Lol Nope. No lemons. They are evil.
Honest truth, I had no idea who Josh Duhamel was. I’ve only seen him in Transformers.
I tend to stray from mainstream. His wife is the most famous thing about him.
Every single time you guys mention him I have to google him. He is cute, but I have no clue who he is.
There are soooooooo many on this list that are calling my name!!!! How are we supposed to keep our TBR in check when so much awesomeness surrounds us???
Maybe Robin should just say Fergie from Black Eyed Peas hubby???
That’s how I feel Leslie. No matter how much I read, there are always twice as many that I want to read.
I suggest EVERYONE READ ALEXA RILEY SMUT WITH ME THERE IS NOTHING BETTER!
Oh, Ela, is that who he is? Ha! I had no idea.
We should listen and read at the same time, of course different books 😯
Fabi! Sarcasm doesn’t suit you 🙄
Ela, I have, but it gets a little repetitive after a while.
Maybe that’s because I wasn’t being sarcastic? *scratches head*
You guys realize that if you’re not talking about a book character I probably have no idea who you’re talking about right? (except Chris Hemsworth, I do know who Thor is)
OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS????????? FABI??????????? DO YOU KNOW WHO DAVID GANDY IS?????
Tessa, it does but I like to pop one in every few weeks, months….
No effing clue Ela. And I’m not even tempted to Google him. It doesn’t sound like a book character. 😉
Ok…I lied. I Googled. Ha!
Yup, no, not my type. Neither is JH. So more for you guys!!!
*snort* oh hell… You girls. Repetitive after awhile. What a problem to have??? And Ela is popping one in every few weeks … *cackles*
I’m taking myself to the naughty room…
No worries Fabi, I’ll do it for you since he has started as many a book character. Raine Miller used his as Nathan Blackstone in the Blackstone Affair series
https://www.google.com/search?q=david+gandy&espv=2&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjk0OnSjOjSAhUIyoMKHWlHAhIQ_AUIBygC&biw=1024&bih=730
Grey, you have a naughty room? Is that like a red room?
Sorry he doesn’t pop your bubble 🙁
He’s also one of the top picks for Gabriel in Gabriel’s Inferno, but I didn’t see it. I think it was the mustache.
I just went and popped my Gandy cherry, cuz I had no idea who he was. But dayummm..he’s hawt!! I am spraying him with Lysol and then re-licking him. I shall hold him and love him and make him my own…and I shall name him George!!!
David Gandy? That mustache is a big eeew. Though, I’ve seen his Dolce ads so I recognized that. Also, those he didn’t have a mustache. What’s funny, is if you compare him and Josh, they have a lot of the same face shape. Like, exactly the same!
David’s rough and pointy. I like soft and boyish.
Boyish turns me off. I think that’s why, even before the movie was released, when they said who’d play Christian Grey, I was thinking, nope. He looks too innocent in the commercials. I like rough and mature.
Right Tessa? The original CG pick was much better. Too bad he had to back out of the role.
I still think Alexander Skarsgard would have made a fantastic CG…
Oh hell yes Grey! I <3 him, which is weird because he *technically* goes against my type. He was my Chris in the Inside Out series and I've been hooked ever since!
Yes! I’ll take him as Christian too. He’s sexy and yep, he looks like he probably is kind of dark emotionally.
Simon ‘ s dog is named Justin Bieber.
*peels Lisa’s grabby hands off of David* *gives him a thorough bubble bath (because who licks anything after it was cleansed with lysol, that’s just so wrong)* *hands Lisa HER Manny Jr. and let’s her rock with the stuffed manatee*
CG =
Did you all know that Daniel Radcliffe tried out for the part. *shudders* I’d have been hiding my eyes during the commercials.
Ela…I’m guessing you flunked Sharing in Kindergarten!!!
Ela… I think my phone screen melted with that pic…
And then Tessa made me throw up in my mouth with that HP as CG imagery… Ew. Seriously. No.
Tessa, your picture disturbs me. It’s small and I can’t tell for sure what it is, but it looks like one of those evil Gremlins. I’m gonna be really embarrassed if you come back and say “oh no, that’s my dog, Cuddles or something. I really can’t tell from how small the pic is, but it skeeeers me a lil!!
Sharing?????? *ponders this strange and weird sounding word* Nope can’t say I know what it is or what it means!
Here’s a palate cleanser:
https://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/464591-first-official-look-at-charlie-hunnam-in-knights-of-the-round-table-king-arthur#/slide/1
Harry Potter needs to stay Harry Potter…THAT IS ALL
I just finished the new Sarina Bowen and its fabu. Heartwarmingly beautiful romance, detailed family and friends kinship and lots of steam. Low angst,
Thanks for the feedback Teri. I’ve downloaded a sample but it may be a little while before I get to it.
I was going to mention the Peeps Oreos–saw them over the weekend–yuck! And speaking of other crazy Oreo flavors (uh, Swedish Fish???)
https://people.com/food/oreo-new-flavors-graded-ranked/peeps
I lurve me some David Gandy and Charlie Hunnam!!
Wait what?? Swedish Fish Oreos? Crap. Where are my car keys???
ROFL. The girls are testy today. Now I want one of those lemon oreos. Or three. One oreo doesn’t go far.
While I don’t fancy reading Nemesis cos psych thrillers aren’t my cup of tea, I do think it has an impressive cover. Perfect for the style of book it is.
Swedish fish oreos? Just, no. *gags*
I don’t actually want to eat them. I need them for my Fish Tales alter!!
Ela ‘ s picture scares me. I keep thinking kermit is dead. Road kill.
Tessa ‘ s is one she drew.
Left Hanging looks right up my alley!!
Ok, I know I have said this a hundred times. I want to try and Internet less read, and other stuff, more. I want to try a few days or week or so starting tomorrow.
So if I pop up rap my knuckles with a book.
Ela you seem like you’d be good at it. 😉
*passes bev a lemon oreo*
*eats it*
Wait…tell me the lemon Oreos have a vanilla cookie, not chocolate. Because ew. *shudder*
Lemon/vanilla Oreos I can gobble up. 😉
Amy–the lemon ones I saw were vanilla. I think the key lime with a graham cookie looks awesome!
Gonna try the lemon Oreos- see how they compare to the Girl Scout lemonades that I LOVE!!
Fabi, I’m bringing my begging over here too.
I beg you. I promise besides this group everyone ant their mother has read Simon. It’s like the freaking Martian. Perfect for April’s theme. Pleeeease.
My picture is a bug lady. It was a challenge and weird enough to be chosen. I didn’t want a person I made because then it’d be associated as me and well, I don’t look like my chars. lol That said, it’s hard to make that one bigger.
Okay, the best oreos are peppermint oreos at Christmas. I wish that was year round.
I feel like I always come into this conversations on the tail end….so here I go…….
DAVID GANDY….sigh…is my “model” crush. Yep…I like his page on Instagram…is so nice to see him pop up in the feed every now and again…and you know who I picture him as – Gabriel from Gabriel’s Inferno.
Ela – I agree with you a thousand percent! CG should have stayed Charlie…that would have definitely pulled in the crowds! Did I mention he is my “actor” crush….
CH would have made a great CG. But he’s another popular one that’s just not my type. :-/
Bev, I’m not sure I can resist the pleading on two different platforms. It feels like I go in my living room and you’re there begging. I move to my kitchen and there you pop up, pleading. LOL!
But, you know what I’m worried about? This is obviously one of your favorite books. Most of you are pretty sentimental about your favs and believe everyone else will love them too. Well…I don’t think that book is really my cup of tea. I’ll TRY anything, but I will also DNF if I can’t read it, or review with brutal honesty if I do read it and don’t like it.
I’ve loved every book you’ve rec’d so far. But I’ve only read the ones that really interested me. So, before you ask me again to read Simon and the Homo Sapiens Agenda (stupid title btw), you better be sure you want my feedback, whatever it may be.
Amy! I LIKE chocolate and lemon. Ice cream!!! Well…My favorite baskin and robins is a scoop of chocolate and a scoop or orange sherbert on a sugar cone. But they seldom have that orange sherbert, so I settle for lemon instead. *sticks tongue out at vanilla people* 😉
Sorry but I need to pop in on behalf of the book title police and issue Fabi a citation for thinking she knows a good title when she sees one. Ok. Carry on. ((Glass Surface)) 😀
“sticks tongue out at vanilla people”
HAHAHAHAA! CG did that. Or was it *in* vanilla people?
R is right in citing me for that one. I completely mispoke. I meant to say…
Me, myself and I, do not care for that title. It is not to MY taste but in no way reflects on the goodness/badness of the title itself.
Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow R. Just don’t try to make me like vanilla. (Ice cream)
hahaha you’re good Fabi. Only a warning this time. No fine. 😉
I think I can take it, Fabi.
I mean I’ve forgiven Maryse for Jellicoe Road. I’m talking to her again and almost smiled at her yesterday.
Now if you decide to take a hate against Anne of Green Gables, book or Sullivan adaptation, ….We’d have some problems.
If you try it and you find you’d rather endure a water torture then by all means put it down. On the bright side you would be keeping your dnf streak up.
hahahaha Bev, that’s awesome. You got it girl. It’ll be my April pick.
And I would never :-0 diss Anne
what’s April again?
I think it’s “everyone but you has read it” month
Whoot!
*nibbles slowly on a key lime and graham cracker combination* Mmmmmm…..
“*sticks tongue out at vanilla people*”
Just ’cause I *like* vanilla doesn’t mean I’m a vanilla people.
Just sayin’. 😉
But I get the odd ice cream or food combos…I love putting salted peanuts on fudge swirl ice cream. Or lemon juice on pepperoni pizza.
Peeps oreos. Heck. Yeah.
And by the way…I think it’s fair to say we can expect anything by Rachel Higginson to be freaking awesome. I can’t WAIT for The Opposite of You!!! 😀
Okay, I should probably go to sleep now…I just freaked out over the blurb of Nemesis and clicked it without looking at the price.
And paid 10.99 for it. 🙄 Whatever. I’ll be the guinea pig!
Oooooh I put lemon on everything and never thought of pizza!
😯 damn Amy… See, that’s why I H
have my book restriction, haha! No self control! But, Easter is almost here, and I’ve decided that once Lent is over, so is this stupid restriction
*giggle*
Lemon oreos…not for me. But the reeses ones are to die for! And I giggled a bit over the vanilla convo…and it wasn’t even me stirring the pot on that one!
Hey! I love vanilla ice cream!
On behalf of the world, and because I’m a giver, I have tried Swedish Fish Oreos…and by gosh, they taste like Swedish Fish. Wasn’t gross, but not necessarily my favorite. The Key Lime Pie ones are to die for…but I haven’t tried the Peeps ones yet…or the lemon. Apparently I have some work to do!!!
Hi Lisa, Bambi Wigglebottom
Oh and my poor Kermit is being disciplined for talking back and telling me I have a huge ass….*snickers*
LOVE MY NEW NAME…
OH GEEZ NOW I NEED MODERATION INTERVENTION
SORRY MARYSE, was just testing out my new stripper name….;)
My son loves Peeps oreos by the way. They are not my fave. But the christmas peppermint ones?!? Oooooh yeah!!! I’ve never seen the Sweedish Fish…those sound weird. Lemon….I’d give ’em a try.
Oh, and I too love vanilla! Nothing wrong with a little vanilla right??
Oh Ela – you make me laugh so hard sometimes!!! I lurve ya, girl!!!
I gotta step up my game, it should be always and not just sometimes.
I luves ya too! And of course the rest of MOST of you ladies!
I love Robin Eggs!!!! And I just saw they have mini Cadbury Eggs! YUM
So Robin, of course Robin, posted a site for us to get our stripper names and WHAT NAMES they are:
Tessa – Sleazy Buns
Fabi – Trey Ball or Easy Baby
Robin – Honey Swallows
Anna – Donna Bunny
Lisa – Dementia Swallows
Ela – ZAZZLE BITCH
Grey – Cherry Titties
Oh and bev is – Sleezy Berry
Let’s not forget to mention it was FABI who asked for it! I was just being helpful!
tattletale
😛
Hey Bev, we can be Sleezy sisters!!! I’m Sleezy Skiz.
Forgot to post mine: Sleezy Skiz
It seems several of us are sleezy! lol
I’m actually laughing so hard I’m crying….
Anyone wanna BR Garden of Goodbyes? Cherry Titties???
Ela…I’m reading it for my March read and plan on starting it here in the next couple of days. Does that work?
Sounds good! Are you a good BR’er??? Will you exchange spoilers with me on the GR group spoiler thread???
Errrr…I’m an *okay* BR’er. If it’s working for me then I will stick with it and check in often. If it’s not…well, you’ll know.
*cough* The Last Hour of Gann *cough*
*points to Grey’s comment*
Exactly.
😆 but… She’s a hella good bartender, so I forgave her!
AMY??? *tapping foot* where art thou??????????? I started! Shit I just saw your plan of the next FEW DAYS??????? YOU NEED TO START NOW
I want a stripper name! Where’s that link?
I love vanilla ice cream. And pistachio. I also like vanilla other times too… just sayin’… it can’t be a sundae every time people!
I’m not sure Fabi would like Simon, except the adorable m/m aspect.
What else have I missed?going back up there to look…
David Gandy is totally Gabriel! So right. And a bunch of other guys too. He could be my hot vamp any time.
Harry Potter grew up to be an ugly man. Well, HE DID. Like that kid from Home Alone. Just not manly.
Here’s the link but you should come on over to GR as well…
https://rumandmonkey.com/widgets/toys/namegen/3386/#.WNHVe_nyuM9
Oh man MichelleS, you had to bring up the Home Alone kid….ewwwwwwwww
I got my stripper name! Cherry Swallows. So sleazy!
Awwww mine is SO CUTE!!!!
I ACCEPT!!!
“Sparkle Baby” 😀
That’s two or maybe three people now saying I’m probably not going to like the Simon book.
Oh well, other than chancing hurting Bev’s feelings, at least I’ll still be on my dnf track for challenge books.
Michelle, I can’t say I’m all that interested in a young gay boy story. My favorite MM books have two big, gorgeous alphas who are plenty adult enough to get hot and sweaty between the pages (or is that on the pages?) *shrug* idk, but I’m sure you get the picture.
I actually don’t like reading YA books unless they are dystopian or sci-fi.
Eeeww. My stripper name is Sparkle Swallows. Ah well, it could have been worse….. *ahem* Dementia Swallows?????? I mean, come on!
No way Maryse. I’m convinced you cheated!
R!!!!
I didn’t cheat I swear… they wanted to know if I was female, and what my name was. I only entered my first name and THAT is what they gave me.
It’s fate. 😀
That name just suits you.
… I hope that doesn’t mean Sleazy Buns suits me.
Of course Maryse would get the cute name! hahaha that is so appropriate 🙂
LOL!!! It kinda is though, right? I love sparkly things!!! 😛
My stripper name…
…wait for it…
…wait for it…
Easy Baby.
Ha! Amy. Also so appropriate. 🙂
Oh wait…That’s mine too. :-/
LOL!!!
HA!!
Strippers of a feather flock together. 😛
Damn I suck at this staying off the internet.
*Try harder bev*
But Fabi, you do not only read it for the sex, do you? The m/m?
I mean if that is your….hmm…erotica???….Then no.
Simon is not erotic.
But if the romance aspect is important….check. If humor…check. Well written male pov……check. Developed side characters and realistic family and friendship relationships…check. Characters who make mistakes but are still good people…..check.
I’m not sure i know how to talk about the coming out aspect in an eloquent way, not having to have to do that, but I think she wrote about it in an eloquent way.
To be honest I think Simon is a lovable book that many on here would enjoy.
It’s not a book for your libido, not that that is a bad thing, just not this book, it’s for your brain and heart.
I’m not sure why I thought of Amy, Maryse and Fabi first. I guess Fabi because m/m so know she is not turned off by that aspect. I know she reads male pov and likes funny slightly dorky personalities.
Amy and Maryse I think I just pick on…..it’s become habit. *shrug *
I know Amy reads male pov in YA and I guess I just thought she and Maryse might find him endearing when in the mood for it. Could totally see them wanting to take care of Simon but enjoying the slight angst and worry.
I dont know. I probably rec by habit more than really trying to pair up the right book with the right reader.
Fabi and Maryse and Amy if you really do not want to read it then honestly do not. There are many books that I have no desire to read that are well loved on here and it would be a chore to force myself. I do not want anyone to feel that way about a book.
Plus, I’m still flying high, inordinately happy-lol, from Tasha reading and loving To Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil.
Mother trucker! Cliffy! Sh#t!!! *stomp, stomp, stomp*
My stripper name is “Tink Lick?” I wanted a name with sparkle in it!!!!
Technically, people call Tinkerbell Tink… So you got sparkle there in the form of fairy dust. Maybe you lick fairies?
Grey… I am so okay with CH. I’ll still read it. 😀
I feel like reading Simon just to justify bev writing a book *looks up* about not forcing anyone….I actually had a tear in my eye!
What book Grey?
*gently dabs tear a way*
You’re a nut.
Just 1-clicked a Rainbow Rowell book on sale for $1.99 – Attachments. Sounds really good! bev, have you read that one?
I need to go back up now and catch up with all your comments!
FLT:
He had many names.
The Weaving Man by Tove Foss Ford
MichelleS, it’s exactly what I needed to read! Thank you. Mender is so easy to adore.
FLT
“I’m really sorry to drag you guys out here again ,” Dr. Gavin Addison said to the two police officers who were standing on his front porch.
Falling for Him by CL Mustafic
This one is an ARC unfortunately not out until April 17. But the marketing co. requires reviews within two weeks of download. So as much as I hate reviewing so early, I’m reading it now.
It’s so good! Reminds me of Try by Ela Frank.
“I NEED YOUR HELP.”
Garden of Goodbyes by Faith Andrews
Ditto Ela’s first line. 😉
TESSA!!!! OMG – I’m jumping up and down over here geeking out that you are reading The Weaving Man!!!! YAY! I’m like Bev and Simon, though – I adore Menders and want everyone to love him like I do, but I get that it’s not for everyone.
I cannot wait to hear if you like it. I hope you make it. It’s elegantly written, but LONG – just hang in there. You will LOVE all the secondary characters.
And is menders seriously not freaking amazing? GAH!
I’m adoring it so far. Long doesn’t detour me; only bad writing or story does. I absolutely love Menders. I’m still in the beginning, of course. I’m at 20% so far. I can see trouble about to happen, but I think it’s still somewhat in the future (Who knows though). Also, smart. I almost never come across it, but it had in it a word I didn’t know the meaning of. That actually makes me happy. It wasn’t placed to show the author’s intelligence, but just as a good word that was needed to describe something. That’s rare. I see “big” words put in places that a simple word would make more sense so that the author would sound smart, but it just sounds stuffy. This isn’t stuffy at all. Just well written.
I just realized that 20% is a fifth of the way through. Still, it’s a big book so I can still call it the beginning. 😀
Gonna try to post to the correct one this time….
HEllo! Just throwing a thought out there…if I am in a 3D movie theater …does that mean I can really touch Mark Wahlburg and Charlie Hunnam…..just saying….
DG!!!!!!!!! I CAN’T WAIT FOR KING ARTHUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
king Arthur what? What what what? I luuuurve King Arthur stories.
FABI ARE YOU SHITTING ME??????? WHAT THE WHAT???????????
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1972591/
Amy and Ela! You are reading Garden of Goodbyes!! Ugh, please keep me updated….that one is high on my TBR!
FLT: The first time I met Lee Cross, I was doing something as ordinary as shopping for groceries. (Hearts of Blue (Hearts #4), L.H. Cosway) – GREAT, GREAT SERIES!! I CAN’T GET ENOUGH! She’s a cop and he’s a “supposed” criminal…..so good!!!
Yeah um…Jean, go ahead and read my very extensive review.
I hung with the hubs last night and didn’t read again! *hides from Nay* I’m the worst BR ever, well, aside from Maryse… 😆
FLT: Badger by C.M. McKenna: My name is Adrian Birch, and I’m nobody.
R!!!
Hey you buddy-read stooooooler!!!! 😛
I’m a GREAT buddy reader. 🙂 <--- is there a halo? Noooooo? *hrmph*
Adrian!!!!!!
Ok Ela, let me go check it out…..so you’re done already?
Yup, THANKFULLY I’M DONE WITH THAT
Ela I have no idea what all your exclamation was about. You have to explain things slowly and in detail to me. :-/
Yeah, that’s how I felt about Sweet Venom…..it was worse than Tabula Rasa and you know how much I hated that book!
Fabi! Bev! You would both love the book MichelleS recommended, The Weaving Man. Seriously.
With my review Fabi or my excitement over King Arthur? Did you not watch those previews??? I don’t think I have to explain anything, THOSE are self explanatory! Le Sigh
That’s pretty bad Jean! TR was %^%$#%^&
I just know I would Tessa! I’m going to add it to my schedule, even if it’ll take me a couple of months to get to it.
Ela, no, I haven’t seen any previews. Even on the rare occasion I turn the TV on, I’m watching something recorded or Netflix or Amazon Prime. Never anything with commercials.
OMG OMG OOOOOMMMMMGGGG!!!!
R!!!!!!!
*hyperventilates*
*thud*
Tessa! You’re reading it! I’m going to read it too when I’m ready for a long one, and I can’t wait! Looking forward to hearing what you think about it–I know Michelle’s thrilled you’re reading it!
Ela–Flove that pic of CH!! Le sigh is right!
Jean–I saw Ela’s glowing review, but I didn’t click on the spoiler, so I don’t know what exactly she hated (although it sounds like she hated everything! lol), but I’m going to read it after I finish Badger and a couple of others.
Robin–remember me? Highly medicated? Dozing off every freaking time I sit down and try to get a chapter read? You’re the PERFECT BRer for me!!

FLT:
“My name is Adrian Birch, and I’m nobody.”
Badger by C.M. McKenna
And I just have to add my fave line thus far–when Badger is speaking to grandma and she doesn’t want him to say the word ‘piss’:
“People there don’t urinate me off as much.”
LOL Amy! If I ever get to read it, I’ll update! I’m on a mission to read tonight! I was hoping to get to read some today but I’ve been figuring out RT Atlanta stuff. Southwest wants $100 MORE to change my flight! Ugh. I didn’t know there were still signings going on Sunday and I booked too early. 🙁
Fabi, I’m with you. I NEVER know what’s up with movies. I never watch TV, like ever, and I think I saw 2 movies all of last year. Both from books LOL.
*high fives Nay* Yes! Then we are perfect! Whew! I haven’t seen you update and I thought oh crap…she’s finished and I’m still at the beginning!
Robin–I finally marked it ‘currently reading’ a little while ago. I had completely forgotten!
Guys, I honestly don’t want to stop reading this book. It’s one of those. The relationships between everyone is just so real, but especially Mender and his princess is so sweet. It’s not a romance at this point, but it has that heart of secondary and main characters that feel real. No one has felt two dimensional yet. 😀
*climbs back in chair*
Wait…Nay too?!?
*thunk*
Tessa–sounds so good! I can’t wait to read it!
I just posted on GR that I’ve been meaning to ask–does anyone want to do a buddy read for The Opposite of You by Rachel Higginson starting next Thursday, 3/30, the day it comes out?
If you have KU, it’s free, and with how much Maryse loved it, there’s no way I’m passing it up! If anyone says they want to BR, I’ll go ahead and set up a thread on GR for those who want to participate there.
Amy–I thought you knew we were reading it??? Since we started it days ago, I guess it would’ve helped if I’d marked it on GR before today! lol
OMG!!! Xcor’s story comes out April 4th!!!
Nay, I would love to BR that one with you!
I’m so behind on the BDB series – – I’m at book #10 I think Lover Reborn…..
Nay, I’ll read it too.
Shut the front door Jean! I still have to get to that other series she’s doing,
I think i may or may not have read book 1.
Sorry, not Jean, Fabi!
Nay, I didn’t know y’all were reading it which is why I’m SO freaking excited. 😀
Jean…I will keep you updated on GoG. So far I am LOVING the writing.
Xcor… whose name I’ve been saying wrong for-freaking-ever! Ugh. Totally over it. Too long in the making. And he’s the ugly guy!!! Argh. Just keep feeding me more Rhage. 🙂
KING ARTHUR!!! First, I adore the Arthurian legends. Just flat out love the crap out of it. Then add Charlie H as Arthur? Be still my heart.
Tessa – makes me happy that you’re appreciating the book! She has an excellent command of the English language. It’s just right for this book. Not pretentious. Oh just you wait. The romance is coming and not at all what you might expect, because it’s just that good!
What was “the word”??? I think I do a dictionary check at least once in a book, and you’re right, it’s usually a word they didn’t need to use!
Ela, the movie is about King Arthur?!?! I didn’t see past his beautiful face…and other stuff….*hides face in hands*. Seriously joking!!!
SQUEEE! I just watched the preview. OMG… Led Zeppelin in the background & Charlie with his REAL accent. Thud. I’m dead.
FLT: “The sticky-sweet night embraced me like a satisfied lover.” Born in Fire, BF Breene. Funny, sexy PNR.
Fabi!!! I totally want to BR that one. Can we wait until after Lent is over??? LOL! Dammit! Whose stupid idea was it to not let me buy books anyway?
So wait, is Ela done with GoG and didn’t like it?
My FLT is from the ARC I finished in the wee small hours. – “He won’t remember me,” I insisted. ~ Dirty Filthy Rich Boys by Laurelin Paige. I have to type up my review, but yes!!!! I really enjoyed it, other than than the cliffy that I should have expected, and that isn’t a deal breaker for me… I can throw myself over a cliff when I know the end is in sight, and she already has a release date for the next book posted, (it is just a duet). It was hella hot, had a jerkface bully, witty banter, in short…it checked a lot of my boxes!
Again…I will be seeing this in 3D if available!!!! I will be the crazy lady trying to grab a hold of Charlie!!! *grinning like the crazy one I am*
Ela, we might end up being double-fisted buddy readers…we are definitely going to want to jump on The Opposite of You read too. Whateves! We can do Infidelity series AND that one. Right??
THE OPPOSITE OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS AHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
I need to find another book to read, but I wanna read one like THAT again.
I don’t remember the exact word, but it meant naturally stressful or stressful by it’s very nature. You can imagine who it was referring to, I’m sure. 😀 It started with a C I think. It was done so well, I was pretty sure before looking it up what it meant. That’s how to use rarely used words. 😀
Now I want to know the word, Tessa, lol.
I can only think of cortisol but that is a stress hormone.
I’ll set up a BR thread on GR for The Opposite of You when release day gets a little closer.
I forgot that the new BDB book was coming out! I read the first of the Black Dagger Legacy books,Blood Kiss, and loved it! And you five-starred it, Ela. You just need to read the 2nd one, Blood Vow, like I do (but I have to finish The Beast first).
And, bummer, I got Xcor mixed up with Trez’s brother–didn’t realize this book was about the ugly guy! JRW is going to have to do some pretty good writing to make this book lovable!
LOL Nay!!!!
Z ws kind of the ugly guy way back when (although I cringe saying Z and ugly together – NEVER!!!!!!)… and he ended up being one of the most coveted brothers in the reading world. 😉
I bet she’ll make him something big!!!
Concomitant
It took forever to find that word. lol
Oooh, I like the definition. Not sure if I’m pronouncing it right or I’d try to work it into a conversation.
Hey, Miss self-professed halo-wearing BR’er…read Garden of Goodbyes with me an’ Ela!!!!
Or don’t.
‘Cause, ya know, you’re an adult and all.
*snort*
Maryse–oh yes! And Z is my fave! I had forgotten about the magic JRW worked with his character.
Z just had a scar on his face – he’s Phury’s twin – so he’s hot. Xcor has an unreoaired cleft lip – look it up & tell me she can make him hot!
I just saw that Madeline Sheehan posted on her FB page on 3/2 that a release date for Preacher’s book, Undeserving, is ‘coming soon’. It has a new cover–well, actually all of them have new covers on her website, so maybe getting picked up by a publisher had at least something to do with the huge delay?? All I know is that this is the first time she’s addressed a release date in ages, even when people have asked, so hopefully, that means it will REALLY, finally be released!
Michelle–I hadn’t thought about that. But Z’s scar is supposed to be pretty gnarly too, isn’t it?? Either way, JRW will definitely have to do something pretty miraculous for various reasons with Xcor! Fan-made images picture Joaquin Phoenix with a bit of a cleft lip.
