Happy Halloween week to us, ’cause *whoooooo*!!! Just look at all the book releases!!! Treats everywhere. 😀 Bikers, an MMA fighter, rock stars (and a few country stars, too), lots of hot military men (oh one made me eeeep! below, ’cause I think it’s gonna be angsty – you’ll see my notes next to it), the start of a new modern “witch” trilogy that takes place in Ireland by Nora Roberts!! (She’s REALLY good at trilogies!). Oh!! A 30 page “short” from Dean Koontz about a guy that likes to go into the woods (creepy?).
Books from our fav authors (Emily Snow & Molly McAdams & Georgia Cates to name a few. Did you know that Georgia Cates writes vampires too??) and some sequel releases, too!
And don’t even get me started on how awesome the bargains look. Kristen Ashley went all out!
Oh! Don’t forget to check out Sunday’s “NEW RELEASES” post (if you missed it) ’cause there were a TON of awesome books that went “live” over the weekend and I couldn’t wait until today to post them. So essentially, the last few days has ROCKED in amazing looking new releases… (like a biker/mob romance one that everyone seems to be loving!)
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any.
BARGAINS: (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).

- The Devil’s Metal (Devils) by Karina Halle <— book #2 was just released (see below)!! Here is my review of #1
- Empty Net: The Assassins Series by Toni Aleo <— (in anticipation of December’s new release – here is the reading order) – Jackie recommends these and says: “The first one can be read on its own. Two sets you up for the next one and so does three. If you skip two you can still figure out what is going on in three. I would recommend reading them in order. The characters are great.” (here is the reading order)
- Impossible (#1) by Komal Kant <— #1 and book #3 has just been released (see it below).
- Falling for Hadie (#2) by Komal Kant <— #2
- Love Square by Jessica Ingro <— book #1 ’cause book #2 was just released below. CRAZY love triangle… “square”. (see my review)
- FALLEN CREST HIGH by Tijan <— Aimee found it!! <— so many LOVE this one!
- Painted Lines by Brei Betzold <— (thanks Aimee!) <— “When an opportunity to win $500,000 dollars in prize money presents itself, Scout and her group of misfit friends sign on the dotted line to be filmed for a reality television show to win it. But like anything in life there’s always a catch to free money.”
- Portrait of a Girl Running (Portraits) by J. B. Chicoine <— fairly new release that one of our fellow readers was intrigued by (and asking about – thanks Jennifer!). And now I’m intrigued, too! After reading the synopsis I’m thinking this leans towards the student-teacher romance issues…

- Lacybourne Manor by Kristen Ashley <— her Happy Halloween week sale!

PARANORMAL

When Iona lands a job at the local stables, she meets the owner, Boyle McGrath. While she relishes the hot threesome that makes her friends jealous, she can’t deny things are…complicated. Namely, whom to tell about their unconventional relationship, and whom to keep in the dark.” (oh oh… family’s coming over.)
- Secret Santa by Fern Michaels, Marie Bostwick, Laura Levine, Cindy Myers
- Status Update (Second Chances) by Mari Carr <— book #3!!
- Vicious Vixen by Shiloh Walker
- The Way Home by Cindy Gerard <—– OHHHHH this one looks GOOD!!! Okay synopsis starts: “Killed in Action – the most dreaded words imaginable for a soldier’s wife. Jess Albert has been living with them for four years, since the death of her husband in Afghanistan. Finding blessed numbness in routine, she doesn’t dare to look ahead, any more than she can bear to look back. Then Tyler Brown, a former special-ops warrior, shows up at her small general store in Minnesota North Woods, jarring her back to life. Jess knows better than to fall in love with another man who places duty to his country before love of his wife- but there’s no denying the longing and the hope for a future that Ty makes her feel.” BUT then I continued reading it. Eeeeeeeep!!! I think I have an idea where this one’s going… “A world away, a man ravaged by years of captivity and torture, a man with no memories, finally escapes- clinging to life and sanity in a hostile land. In his darkest hour, he awakes in a lantern-lit cave to find a woman at his side. Dark-haired and dark-eyes, her touch is caring, despite the resentment he hears in her voice and sees on her face.” and then the synopsis continues and that’s when I really eeep’d!
- Wild Child: A Novel by Molly O’Keefe
- Winners: A Novel by Danielle Steel
- The Young and the Submissive (The Doms of Her Life, Book 2) by Shayla Black, Jenna Jacob, Isabella LaPearl <—looks like a love triangle, (D/s style!)
- Battlescars by Ann Collins <— MMA fighter alert and it says: “Battle-hardened and bearing scars from the combat he’s seen, Dyson has been discharged from the Marines under less-than-ideal circumstances. He’s moved back home and is focused on training for an MMA fight he hopes will kick start his career. He’s disciplined, focused, and has no time or energy for a meaningful relationship.” (er… well… yes, I know. We’ve “heard” this one before. And of course, he meets that girl in a bar that resists his “no strings attached” offer. Hehe. 😉 But still… might be good).

Amy!!! Did you read Night Owl yet or were you too busy laughing at my manatee snuggle? LOL!!!
LOL!! I’m still snickering/snorting when I think of snuggling his manatee (yeah, it’s a sexy sound when I do that). I’m starting it this afternoon, and I have a feeling I’m going to lose it when I read about the dang manatee!!!
hahahahahah you will awwwwwww (and lose it). 😉
So many books! Beautiful Player is going on my iPad today.
I just found your website today! I’m already in love with it! Thanks for the awesome reviews. Time to fire up the kindle and get downloading!
Welcome, Lisa!! Feel free to join in anytime! *hug*
OMG!!!!!!…. my husband is going to have a stroke when he sees how many books I bought today.. but to my defense they were all bargains. Mostly!!!! Sqeee!!!! I can’t wait…
Big Bad Beast is a re-issue, not a new story. (I was sooo hoping that there was a new Pride story but I guess I’m going to have to wait.)
Completely forgot I pre-ordered Beautiful Player and that it came out today! I read so many books, I lose track of them. What a treat! Hehe Thanks Maryse!
Reading Night Owl now love it. But I think Beautiful Player is next….can’t wait. Yikes…. so many good books.
Serious bookgasms! 😀 Oh, Amazon 1-click, I love you so! The Devil’s Reprise, Night Owl, Greed, and on and on.
Such a huge fan of your site and your recommendations are always right on. I know you have mentioned how much you love dark reads so… I had to tell you about a book I read called Tear of Tess (monsters in the dark) by Pepper Winters. Totally reminded me of captive in the dark. Stayed up late and slacked off at work to read it. AND it’s only .99!
have just downloaded All of Kristen Ashley’s ghost books – great bargain and a good long read. If you haven’t considered any of these stories then you are seriously missing a lot of great reading. They are not scary and the ghosts play a part with the live characters. Lots of alphaness but seriously great reads.
Just finished Night Owl! Loved reading it so much that I have no clue what to start next!
I’m in the same boat, Lisa B. I finished Night Owl — which I ABSOLUTELY LOVED– but now I have no clue what to read. There are way to many books to choose from.
