Reader question day, and I’ve got a few for us that we can play with!! Regina just sent this one over. Since she’s actually read it, and wants to RE-READ it (but ca’t remember the title or author) she provides a lot of detail, so beware… I tried to spread it out with spoiler alerts between. Maybe the first paragraph will spark your memory from the start! 😀
She says:
“Hi,
I’m hoping you might have read this book and remember the title better than me (my Nook had a tragic accident involving 2 bengals, a dog and a catwheel, nook’s under warranty, but it didn’t back up my lists.) I think I read it between 2012-2014, could go either way by a year, and I’ve wanted to reread it. It was a New adult, college, romance…Very obviously there will be spoilers below, in hopes that you recognize the book. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
It’s a new adult college romance. Hero hooks up with Heroines BFF first, cheerleader type, brings him home first. He initially thinks Heroine is BFF’s kid (due to size of body on couch). Makes some snarky remark about her having a kid, that heroine returns to him while making French toast. When he leaves that initial hook up, he finds it cute that she has a pillow over her head to block out the noise and tells her to lock the door behind him.

Heroine had sexually abusive relationship with her stepbrother and is pretty OCD. There’s a scene where the 3 get drunk and we find out she has a special bowl to puke in, as she doesn’t want to put her head in a toilet. When friend finds out the H & h are hot for each other, instead of being pissed she warns him not to hurt her.

Also find out Hero’s parents are opposites attract as well (mom is family money, dad is trailer park) and Hero’s brother was killed in service–the one remaining living member of HB’s squad ends up being Heroine’s stepbrother, who is basically still stalking her.
Oh, and the hero is into crossfit or whatever modern sport resembles Scottish games without being Scottish. You know, pulling trucks, throwing trees, etc…it only comes up towards the last third of book. If you can help it would be much appreciated!! I’ve wanted to reread it, but cannot remember the title at all.”
Anyone?
