in Reader Questions

Danielle is looking for two different books (and she thinks they are five years old, or older). I’m going to create two separate posts for each of her questions…

But, off the bat, I don’t know either book, and am hoping someone here does. :D

She asks:

Hello, I’m looking for a little help..

I’m a voracious romance reader and in fact have read, re-read or listened to 1,351 romance novels of various genres in the past 3 years (my total so far for this year is 126, I’ve been keeping track on goodreads). Unfortunately that presents a bit of a problem, I can’t always remember the title and/or authors (especially for books I read before I started keeping track on goodreads). I’m hoping that someone here can help me to find the title and or/author to a couple of romances I’ve previously read with the few details I can remember.

The first one I remember almost nothing about except that I think the heroine of the story is a teacher and the hero is paying for or helping to pay for a new school to be built (in a small community.. I think) and that they have a pretty steamy encounter near the building site for the new school on a tree stump (or maybe a fallen log)..

not much to go on..

Does anyone recognize this one?

Michelle: The book regarding the teacher/hero kind of sounds like Underneath It All (The Walsh Series Book 1) by Kate Canterbary. The heroine is a teacher that is in the process of wanting a school building built and the hero is an architect.

Danielle: not sure if that’s it or not since I literally only remember that tiny bit of the story.. that said, it is on my kindle, so it may very well be that book, if so I apparently read it way less that five years ago.. i’ll read it and let you know :)

Lindsay: Kyland by Mia Sheridan has a school that is being built in a small town. There’s a whole lot more to the story, but I know there’s a school involved.

my previous message was referring to Underneath it all by Kate Canterbary, so far i’m on page 68 and while not bad so far, i’m thinking it may be a bit, uh, smuttier than the one i’m thinking about. (not that I’ve got a problem with that.. lol, but still I think it was steamy but not I think “whoa mama scorchin”) Also i’m thinking that the one I can’t remember much was set in a more small town-ish type setting. I can definitely say though that Kyland by Mia Sheridan is definitely not it. I wanna say the hero was wealthy and i’d guess the age range for the hero and heroine are mid twenties to mid thirties, but probably closer to late twenties, early thirties.. but I honestly can’t be completely sure.. i’d say there’s just been too many books that I’ve read, but that would just be blasphemous :D
