Suggested to us as a “What to Read After Thoughtless” option, so I’m thinking this one’s got some intense angsty love-triangle action!! A surfer AND a rock star to choose from. I get the dilemma. 😉
Tessa: I just finished reading Relentless and Pieces of You by Cassia Leo and I thought they were really good. I really like the story line and I could not put them down, I needed to know what was going to happen next. Did I mention there is a hot surfer and a hot rock star in it? I think they should bed in your TBR list. 🙂
Helen: Cassia Leo’s Shattered Hearts series is a great one for Thoughtless lovers. Books are Relentless, Pieces of You and Bring Me Home.
Whitney: My favorite book has been Bring Me Home by Cassia Leo. (part of the Shattered Hearts series)
Arika: My favorite book(s) of the year has been the Shattered Hearts series by Cassia Leo.
Amy: Such a good series! BUT, *don’t* read ahead on the blurbs – especially Abandon and Chasing Abby – because it will spoil so much in the previous books. They read pretty fast, too.
About book #1:
Claire Nixon is a college student with a past full of secrets and heartbreak. At seven years old, the death of her mother by drug overdose destroys her faith in humanity and herself as she is tossed from one foster home to another. Feeling unwanted and disposable, she fights to keep herself safe in the system. Until, at the age of fifteen, she is saved by her first love, and soon-to-be rock star, Chris Knight and his mother, who quickly becomes the mother she always wanted.
When Claire encourages Chris to leave town to pursue his dreams of musical stardom, both Claire and Chris don’t realize this will be the biggest mistake of their lives.
One year after Chris leaves on tour, Claire has carved out a new life for herself in a new city far away from the life she left behind with Chris. On a fateful morning, she meets sexy surfer Adam Parker.
To Claire, Adam is just another flirty customer at the cafe, until a chance encounter and seemingly innocent comment spurs a bet between them. The bet is simple: If Adam can get Claire to reveal the secret that made her drop out of college and leave her life behind, she has to re-enroll. If he doesn’t succeed, she gets to keep her secret and he has to stop stalking her at the cafe.
Claire thinks she has this one in the bag. She’s perfected the art of forgetting her past. But she isn’t prepared for Adam’s relentless pursuit or for him to share his own secrets. And she’s definitely not prepared for the love of her life, Chris Knight, and her secret, to come banging down her door one year later.

The Theory of Attraction!! And it’s a free read too!! Both of the characters are extremely intelligent, I mean WICKED sma’aaaart!! He is an astrophysicist and she is a social anthropologist!! Holy hell…geeks and nerds of the world unite because this is the story of an unexpected D/S relationship between two friends in which they analyze each step of their evolving relationship — together and extremely intellectually!! It is HOT, and did I mention HOT!! He kept his dominant needs from her – I can’t even say anything else because it will spoiler!! This book is like Gabriel’s Redemption swirled up in some Crossfire dipped in Fifty Shades for good measure and then rolled around in a PhD thesis as the sprinkle crunchy topping!! Ivan Reynolds is purrrrrfection!! I don’t know the ending yet because oh CHIZ it’s 3:30 and I have to make myself stop!! Whaaaaaa!!
