CD Reiss – Songs of Submission Series Reading Order

in Reading Order Guide:

My friend Sandra keeps mentioning these novellas. She’s brought them up a few times on our Facebook page and then sent me a couple of messages directly. I think she’s serious! ;) So you can bet I’m curious after hearing about it for what? The 3rd or 4th time now? hehe. She and I have very similar book tastes, so I’m going to trust her the next time I need a “short” awesome read, that these will do it for me.

Sandra: I have a book for you…its very short and ends on a cliff hanger.

Maryse: Ok… what is it?!

Sandra: Check out CD Reiss…..have you read her two short novellas?

Maryse: Hrmm… nope.

and then, another time… when she sent me over a rock star book link…

Maryse: Thanks Sandra!!!

Sandra: You’re welcome and check out those CD Reiss novellas….it is right up your alley!

Melissa: I love this series. For me this series is like FSoG to the third power. The writing is superb, and well edited. The dialogue is realistic but sexy and delicious, and the sex is super HOT. Jonathon and Monica are both strong and independent while being damaged but not totally broken. They are BOTH super appealing appealing as characters, something I find hard to come by lately ( usually I love either the hero or the heroine but not both). Like a really good tv show, I totally stalk the next book starting the moment I finish one. There is no series I look forward to as much as this one.

Oh yesssss, right!! I almost forgot, but now I’m paying attention! In fact, here is the reading order guide to ensure I don’t forget it. :D

About book #1:

My name is Monica. I’m a singer born and raised in Los Angeles.
I’ve stopped dating. When I cut a record, or win a Grammy, maybe then I’ll be with someone, but every man in my past has done everything he could to make me submit myself to him, and it’s gotten in the way of my career. I won’t do it again.

But there’s Jonathan. He owns the high-rise hotel where I work, and he is gorgeous and charming. I refuse to fall in love with him, even though when he asks me to submit to him, I want nothing more.

I absolutely love this series, it’s in my top 3.

I’m really irritated by this new marketing ploy that authors are using. They sell a “book” that’s not really what I consider a full length book for $$$ and then its usually a cliffhanger, part of a “series”. I will gladly wait until the series is done and they will finally combine the series into one book for a decent price. I got burned by this ploy earlier this year and I’m still very miffed. I won’t pay for an e-book more than what a mass market paperback would go for for the same size book.

I’ve commented before that I love this series. I believe the authors writing is unparalleled in the erotica genre. I read all kinds of fiction and I’m very picky about romance and erotica because frankly I find the writing occasionally lacking. This series stands above most.

LOVE LOVE this series! CD ‘S writing is hands down the best! Yes I know some are short reads BUT she has each one jam packed with some crazy sexy erotic scenes that make you parched and wanting more! Plus there is plenty of family drama, lies, deceit, death and cover ups that will make your head spin! Jonathan and Monica are quite the couple!! Cant get enough of this!

I spent ALL Day on Saturday reading all six of these books. I got sucked in within the first few pages and could not stop clicking my way through them. They are all amazing!

Love that you found the writings of CD Reiss and enjoyed it! Hope you have read the whole series – Sing just came out to complete the series. While we are going through withdrawals over the story being done we are excited to what she comes up with next! She has a very dedicated group of goddesses (her adoring fans) who are trying to get the word out and would love if you could help spread the word again of Jonathan and Monica’s story and this wonderful author!
Beg is up for the Goodreads Romance Debuts 2013 – hope everyone votes! https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/40930.Romance_Debuts_2013

Have you read these yet!?!? I had seen that this story has been compared to 50 Shades, and while I LOVED the 50 Shades series, this one is even better!!! I am at a loss of what to read next as the next book will have to compete with this story (and that is NOT going to be easy)! I would love it if you would put a list together!!!! This story is worthy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What institution had Jonathan been in? I missed that detail.

At the end of Sing there is a blurb saying there will be another book called Crying. When will it come out and what will it be about? Didn’t Sing sort of close everything up? I just found these books and absolutely loved them. I thought they were far superior to Gray in every way. Just wish they had all come together as 1 book.
