<— Forbidden sparks ALERT! It’s a little… “student-teacherish” as the Olympic skater and her coach develop feelings for each other… 😉 And in celebration of the start of the Winter Olympics today, Author Jennifer Comeaux has temporarily bargain-priced each book in her Olympic skater series below!
Lynn recommended them to me saying:
“They’re not racy since the publisher only publishes clean books. They do combine a sports vibe with a New Adult romance. The figure skating element is done really well which appealed to me since I tend to like books that have strong and athletic heroines. I also liked that they break from the pattern I see emerging in New Adult books these days with the tortured main characters with tragic, dark pasts coming together to heal each other.”
and Julie says: “I’ve read the first two – I happen to love figure skating, especially pairs, so that’s why I picked them up. … Much, much tamer than the stuff we usually read but pretty good story line.”
Sounds good! “Not racy” doesn’t bother me so much, as long as that delicious romantic tension is there and has that nice burn to it… 😉 Here’s hoping! *fingers crossed* P.S. Has anyone read these?
About book #1:
Nineteen-year-old Emily is new to pairs skating, but she and her partner Chris have a big dream-to be the first American team to win Olympic gold. Their young coach Sergei, who left Russia after a mysterious end to his skating career, believes they can break through and make history.
Emily and Chris are on track to be top contenders at the 2002 Winter Games. But when forbidden feelings spark between Emily and Sergei, broken trust and an unexpected enemy threaten to derail Emily’s dreams of gold.
- Life on the Edge #1
- Edge of the Past #2
- Reaching the Edge #2.5
- Fighting the Edge #3
Actually, I read #2.5 as well – now that the Olympics are on, I think I better get going on #3 also. 🙂
