<— Sounds like some delicious angsty “new adult” romance, and my friend Amy is enjoying this series!
Amy: …starting the Nova & Quinton series now that book #3 is out (it’s Jessica Sorensen…’nuff said!).
Nona: My favorite book this year has been Breaking Nova by Jessica Sorenson.
About book #1:
Nova Reed used to have dreams-of becoming a famous drummer, of marrying her true love. But all of that was taken away in an instant. Now she’s getting by as best she can, though sometimes that means doing things the old Nova would never do. Things that are slowly eating away at her spirit. Every day blends into the next . . . until she meets Quinton Carter. His intense, honey brown eyes instantly draw her in, and he looks just about as broken as she feels inside.
Quinton once got a second chance at life-but he doesn’t want it. The tattoos on his chest are a constant reminder of what he’s done, what he’s lost. He’s sworn to never allow happiness into his life . . . but then beautiful, sweet Nova makes him smile. He knows he’s too damaged to get close to her, yet she’s the only one who can make him feel alive again. Quinton will have to decide: does he deserve to start over? Or should he pay for his past forever?

I read the first 3 in this series and loved them…need to get back to it!
I LOVE Jessica Sorensen, she is one of my favorite authors! I have read all of the Ella & Micha books and all of the Callie & Kayden books. I wanted to know if this series is paranormal? I’m confused as to which of her books are paranormal and which aren’t of the series I haven’t read. I will read everything of hers that is not paranormal, as it’s usually not my cup of tea, with a few exceptions… Thank you!
Ana, it’s not paranormal!
I’m with ya, Jean. They were really, really good! Book 2 was difficult at times but not over-the-top difficult. Book #2.5 (Delilah) broke my heart, but book 3 made it better. 😉 Tristan is up next!
Totally agree Amy. Delilah’s story was heartbreaking. I still have to read book 3!!!!
I love Jessica’s books but this series especially the second one was just depressing. They are good reads but the drug use gets really depressing and it made it harder to like Quinton seeing what his life was….JMO:) So good books but just know they are downers…..
Jean! Catch up on book 3! It is really a much-needed breath of fresh air after book 2 and #2.5 and wrapped things up so well. 😀 Plus it leads into Tristan’s story.
Thanks Amy. I will move it up on my list!
