<—- Oh look you guys!! Er…. well, I mean, only look if you’re one of those that like the darker kidnappy books. 😉 This appears to be one of ’em! It was on one of my Friday bargain deals posts, and now it’s a series that’s 3 books long. Bad guy criminals, one’s shot and the other kidnaps a doctor and forces her to fix him. And then… she’s not allowed to go. GAH! (and oooohhh I wonder what happens?!). I shall find out soon enough, as I have the first one in my iPad.
And here are a couple of reader recommendations that have already come my way:
Tiffany: The Books Monster and Traitor by Julia Sykes were very GOOD!! Third book comes out soon!
Nancy: Avenger (Impossible 3) by Julia Sykes came out last night & is the final installment in the Impossible Series. I’ve been waiting for this one as I read the first 2 last month.
About book #1:
My life was irrevocably changed that night. The night I was taken. I saved a man’s life, but at what cost to myself? Could I convince him to save me in return?
Pediatrician Claudia Ellers is jerked out of her own safe, secluded world and brought into one of danger and uncertainty on the night that she is kidnapped by Bradley Smith. He forces her to save the life of his best friend, Sean Reynolds, under threat of death. But when her task is complete, Sean decrees that she can’t be allowed to leave; she knows too much.
Claudia is resentful of her captors, desperate to escape. But the more time she spends trapped with Sean, the harder she finds it to cling to her hatred for him. He is an enigma of a man, one who is shockingly arrogant, sweetly contrite, and frighteningly aggressive by turns. And the sexual tension between them is scorching.
The longer she remains in his grip, the more confused she becomes about what she must do. Is her freedom worth betraying him?
I got this one when it was free on amazon and really enjoyed it. I like dark and disturbing reads so this was a great freebie find for me. Getting ready to start the second one this week. My husband looks at me like I’m crazy if I try to tell him about a dark read I’m reading , so I’m really happy to find other readers who enjoy the same type of books.
hah!! My husband looks at me funny, too. When I try to tell him what it’s about, the look on his face pretty much always stops me. LOL!
I grabbed Monster when it was free, too, and it has been sitting on my Kindle in the TBR…..I am going to have to start this one soon I see!
I’ve seen the cover model on another book…
Leo’s Chance
I really need to know the name of the cover model
