in Reading Order Guide:

So highly recommended! As per fellow reader, Jordan:

“If you haven’t read any of her books in “The Hollows” series, I highly recommend them!  They are hilarious and so much fun!  I believe there are currently 11 books in the series.  When I started them, there were ten, and I couldn’t stop reading them until I’d read the last one.”

About book#1:

The underground population of witches, vampires, werewolves—creatures of dreams and nightmares—has lived beside humans for centuries, hiding their powers. But after a genetically engineered virus wipes out a large part of humanity, many of the “Inderlanders” reveal themselves, changing everything.

Rachel Morgan, witch and bounty hunter with the Inderland Runner Services, is one of the best at apprehending supernatural lawbreakers throughout Cincinnati, but when it comes to following the rules, she falls desperately short. Determined to buck the system, she quits and takes off on the run with an I.S. contract on her head and is reluctantly forced to team up with Ivy, Inderland’s best runner . . . and a living vampire. But this witch is way out of her league, and to clear her name, Rachel must evade shape-changing assassins, outwit a powerful businessman/crime lord, and survive a vicious underground fight-to-the-death . . . not to mention her own roommate.

I just noticed that you have not read these book. Maryse… I know about there being so many books and so little time, but these books you gotta make room for. Rachel Morgan is great in these books and I just finished A Perfect Blood which came out two days ago. Ughhh… SO GOOOOODDDDDD
Rachel grows so much in these books especially book 9 and 10. These books are so great! Kim Harrison is my 2nd favorite author with this series; The Hollows Series. Make time! The audiobooks are the best. Margarete Gavin is the best reader for audiobooks. Honestly great. Fun to listen to them!

Thanks Donna for the encouragement! So they get better as they go, huh? That’s what I like to hear. ;)

There is a great big story that the series builds to. A bigger picture that really starts to show in book 8 and 9. If you are a fan of audiobooks, these are the best I have heard. Gavin brings them to life! Enjoy!

I’m loving the Hollow Series and just finished For a Few Demons More. I’ve looked up the next books I need to read, which are The Outlaw Demon Wails (Book 6), White Witch, Black Curse (Book 7), and Pale Demon (Book 9). What is Book 8?

Hello Rebecca!

Black Magic Sanction is book 8 (after Black Curse and that short story in the anthology). The list shows the books and short stories as they should be read in the correct order. I hope that helps!

Reading Black Magic Sanctioned now. I can’t get enough of these books. I love Kim Harrison.

I love this series.. I bought Everafter in Hardback and since it had been almost a year since I had read the previous ones… started at the beginning and reread the whole series….thinking that Everafter was supposed to be the conclusion… but I think not.. she leaves so many open ends that need to be tied up and I want to see what happens to Rachel next…. there has to be more.

Can anyone tell me where the character Daryl the nymph is introduced. I am reading perfect blood and he just pops up. I have not read the short stories nor do i have time to track them all down. I am on second reading of the series and I cannot remember anything about Daryl. Also a dumb question about detective Glenn is that hir first name? They said he had a different last name then his father but I do not if Glenn is a first or last name and it had always bothered me lol.

Okay, so I have a question – are there anymore books coming out? The last one is from February of last year. And I’m just wanting to know because I’m not ready for this to be over. :(
