I loved this one! Paranormal, but not in the usual sense (’cause we won’t be falling for the paranormal creatures. Ew. Zombies smell!!). Erotica and romance, an absolute adrenaline inducing read (in the steamy sense, and the scary sense, too!). Check out my review here.
And so many fellow readers agree!
Angie: Ok, I’m a believer. A book with zombies can be good and Flesh was awesome. Quite honestly, the TWO (!) hot Alpha males as well as the heroine, could have been filling out tax forms for all I cared. Their banter, their “circling”, the well-crafted and surprisingly realistic romance and the deliciously naughty sexcapades were so worth a late, late night read, that the carcass-seeking half-dead moaners in the background barely registered. So looking forward to another installment. Thanks again, Maryse! Yet another book I wouldn’t have touched with a ten-foot pole without your high praise 🙂
Joanna: I know I’m behind everyone, but I read “Flesh” last night after duct-taping my spawn to bed following trick-or-treating and the accompanying candy orgy. Great book, so glad you guys suggested it! I have trouble seeing the romance in menage (love how sexy it can be, but doesn’t always feel like romance to me) but this author really pulled it off. Yay!!!!
About book #1:
Ali has been hiding in an attic since civilisation collapsed eight weeks ago. When the plague hit, her neighbours turned into mindless, hungry, homicidal maniacs. Daniel has been a loner his entire life. Then the world empties and he realises that being alone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Finn is a former cop who is desperate for companionship, and willing to do anything it takes to protect the survivors around him.
When the three cross paths they band together; sparks fly, romance blooms in the wasteland and Ali, Daniel and Finn bend to their very human needs in the ruins of civilisation.
Lust, love and trust all come under fire in Flesh as the three battle to survive, hunted through the suburban wastelands.

“… there’ll be at least another two books in the Flesh series. We’re hoping to have Skin out by 1st of February. Same world, different, characters. Though Dan, Finn and Ali will show up.”
I cant believe I’m up right now… but I’m reading…so guess it’s ok 😛
I LOVE this series, cant wait for the next one!
Best darn Apocalyptic Erotica around! 😉 Loved the book and so looking forward to the rest of the series.
I am reading Flesh now….it was next on my TBR list. Almost done…..soooo good! Can’t wait for the next one!
Just added these to my TBR list! Thanks 🙂
I have read the 1st 2 and enjoyed them surprisingly…I love the show the Walking Dead, but wasn’t too sure I would want to read about it…The romance in the 1st one is really GREAT…I love the characters and how the entire special romance works out…and they really kick but to the Zombies….
I LOVED Flesh! I am so looking forward to the next book. And the short story in between was awesome – I wanted more.
And the next one is set at only $1 for pre-orders!
I never thought I would have liked Flesh but I was shocked 🙂 Looking forward to Skin!
I know right?? It was a great read, and I was so very into the characters and their plight. So very steamy but also romantic and angsty – especially considering their dire circumstances.
Been wanting to read Flesh, but with the amount of books I buy, I can’t bring myself to pay $6.19 for this on amazon!! Lol, I know, sad, but that I could get almost 2 books for that and good ones!!
Just finished this one. Don’t think I would have read it but for your recommendation. Soooooo glad I did! It was crazy and adventurous in the zombie sense and in the loving too! And, I must say, I think loving is the right word because Kylie Scott does a fabulous job of developing the relationship between the characters and their love and connection in their rather unconventional family.
Loved this book(Flesh) cannot wait for number 2! steamy and oh so hot!!!
are these books just available on kindle? i have a nook and i dont see them on the site…
So whatever happened to the expected release of BONE in 2013? I have read just about everything this author has written and I still like her zombie romance (or whatever you want to call it) the best. I also have read many other apocalyptic type books out there by at least 100 authors and Ms Scott is still the best author. Maryse is there a way you can talk her into going back to killing zombies?
i didnt even know this site was still active
Yep! 🙂 Active every single day since 2009.
Lol I was here a couple years ago and loved it but then the site was different. And there was no forum. Maybe the address I had was bad…. Well glad to know your still here
