<— Okay, I know I’m late to the game for this book, but I have to check it out. When I realized there were more books to be released in this series, I backtracked (to create the reading order) and realized I have a ton of great recommendations for it. This one is MUCH loved (and there are already TWO books out and two more to come!). I too thought it might be on the “fluffy” side but it appears there is a nice depth to it.
Sarah: Ladies, you have to read ‘One Week Girlfriend’ by Monica Murphy. I was expecting a quick, fluffy read, but I was so wrong. I thought it had a Hopeless/Ten Tiny Breaths feel to it. Started a little bit slow, but I quickly got wrapped up in their story, and can’t wait for book two. Slight cliffhanger, nothing major. I really, really enjoyed this book.
Lisa: Ocallahan I loved it:)
Kristi: Sarah, totally agree with you. I was expecting fluffy read too but WOW I really enjoyed this one. Going to read the second one for sure!
Angelia: I was pleasantly surprised by this book myself, it had alot more depth then I was expecting, really enjoyed this book and look forward to the second one also.
Erin: I loved it too!!
Kathy: Maybe the title threw everyone off because I was surprised by this one too. It was not what I was expecting. It was a really well written book and I really enjoyed it.
Sara: Kathy, i think the title and the cover are both misleading. Hopefully people will see past them and still give this book a chance.
Lisa: I am reading now and cannot put down, I too did not expect much but I am LOVING it.
About book #1:
Temporary. That’s the word I’d use to describe my life right now. I’m temporarily working double shifts—at least until I can break free. I’m temporarily raising my little brother—since apparently our actual mother doesn’t give a crap about either of us. And I always end up as nothing but the temporary girlfriend—the flavor of the week for every guy who’s heard the rumor that I give it up so easily.
At least Drew Callahan, college football legend and local golden boy, is upfront about it. He needs someone to play the part of his girlfriend for one week. In exchange for cash. As if that’s not weird enough, ever since he brought me into his world, nothing really makes sense. Everyone hates me. Everyone wants something from him. And yet the only thing Drew seems to want is . . . me.
I don’t know what to believe anymore. Drew is sweet, sexy, and hiding way more secrets than I am. All I know is, I want to be there for him—permanently.
I love all of her books. I have a autographed copy of one book but I sure would love a coach purse.
I have always loved to read. It doesn’t seem to matter what. But I have never been able to afford a coach purse. Please pick me!
