This series was featured in a reader question just a while ago and it sounds soooo good! And since I loved this author’s other book (“Escorted” under the pen name “Claire Kent”) I thought I’d post this sweet-looking romance one. And I here it’s angsty. 😉 Check out what our fellow readers think!
Sarah: Not sure if you realize that Claire Kent also writes under the pen name of Noelle Adams. So A Negotiated Marriage by Noelle Adams above is written by the same author as Escorted that you reviewed last week 🙂
Jillian: I just read Married for Christmas by Noelle Adams. I think maybe it was on your bargains list a week or so ago. Anyway, it was quite angst-y – wasn’t expecting that. So if you’re looking for some angst, with the main hero as a pastor! (this is not a religious themed book, still a contemporary romance) and Christmas I would recommend!
Jen: I just read A Baby for Easter. so good! I love everything by Noelle Adams!
About book #1:
After years of dreaming, Jessica is finally getting married, but the marriage isn’t exactly what she thought.
Daniel is her best friend, and she’s known him all her life, but he’s never gotten over losing his wife two years ago. His dream is to become the pastor of the church in their hometown, but the small-town congregation keeps balking over calling an unmarried minister. Since Daniel needs a wife and Jessica wants a husband and family, she proposes an arrangement that benefits both of them.
They can get married. They can be build a life together. They can celebrate Christmas as a couple. It’s fine that he doesn’t love her. And it’s fine that she’s not exactly suited to be a small-town pastor’s wife. And it’s fine that she’s more attracted to her sexy, brooding husband every day.
Jessica can be practical about this marriage. She knows what she’s getting into, after all…
Okay, three things, Maryse:
Nine Minutes was fantastic -stayed up all night to finish it. Great recommendation! On next to Deborah Bladon’s third book in the Ruin series, which has just come out, and needs a mention – this series is a must-read! Lastly, it looks like I’m the only one who enjoyed ‘Captivated by You’. Sure, it was slower paced but it was just as intense, and I’m looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Janet!!! That Ruin series looks SO good!!! 😀 I still need to catch up on the latest 2 in the Crossfire series.
Nice contest! Books I want to read too.
