<— Who wants to laugh out loud until they cry? I’m hearing THIS ONE!!
Marcia: The Wager (The Bet Series) by Rachel Van Dyken had me in hysterics! You MUST read!
Jenn: I absolutely adored The Bet; it was light, sweet, and sexy and oh so damn funny! Definitely a book to read after a “dark” read.
Lisa: I read The Bet and it was sooo good!! Great story and I laughed so many times! Definitely a great book to read after some of the darker ones I’ve read recently.
Lysa: I actually read The Bet, and I have to say I was literally laughing out loud through the book. Between the angst and the “almosts” that had me ALMOST in tears. Loved it! There was a review that threw me before I read it, but I ignored the review that called the characters unrealistic and immature (if you’ve had a childhood friend, then you know your interactions with them are not always mature) . . . and their interactions had me laughing so hard!!! LOVED it.
Lisa: Just read The Wager. So hilarious light read. You need to read The Bet first by Rachel Van Dyken. Laughed and cried !!!
Jean: The Bet (Book #1) by Rachel Van Dyken was really funny….I thought it was funnier than The Wager of the same series, but they were both great! … if you want laugh out loud funny, The Bet by Rachel Van Dyken. You will love it! Have I ever steered you wrong before? Haha!
Tricia: I’m reading The Wager by her and loving it also.
About book #1:
“I have a proposition for you.” Kacey should have run the minute those words left Seattle millionaire Jake Titus’s mouth. It’s been years since Kacey’s seen her childhood friend Jake, but the minute Jake mentions his ill grandmother, Kacey is ready to do anything for the sweet old woman. And if that means pretending they’re engaged for her sake-so be it.
But Kacey wasn’t counting on Jake’s older brother Travis still being there. She calls him “Satan” for a reason: she’s never forgotten the way he teased and taunted her. Yet when they meet again, Travis’s gorgeous smile is a direct hit to her heart . . . and Kacey’s more confused than ever. As the days pass, only one thing starts to become alarmingly clear-she never should have accepted Jake’s deal …
Darn! Stop giving such excellent recommendations (not)! I am imvolved with Bastian right now!
I loved The Bet. I’ve yet to read the other two, but The Bet was hilarious and real sweet.
The first 2 books were great! I actually liked The Wager more and can’t wait to read The Dare!!! These books are laugh out loud funny!
I just finished book 3! I haven’t laugh this hard in a while my husband most likely thinks he should have me institutionalised by now. I want my very own grandma neidine leopard print and all. I’m hoping they’ll be more books to follow in this series Rachel Van Dyken is an incredible author. Thanks maryse for the recommendation:)
