I loved this series! It had been recommended so often, but always came with a warning… really hard ending on book#2. BIG cliffhanger. A “darker” YA read. I had a feeling I knew what I was in for when I read that synopsis, and vacillated between reading it now (I so wanted to get into something intense and heart wrenching) and suffer with my fellow readers… or wait for book #2, and not suffer at all. Yep. You guessed it! Like the “chicken” I am, I kept it at the top of my TBR list, and patiently waited for book #2 to be released. As soon as it was available, I devoured ’em both!
And nowwwwww…. I’m suffering for book #3. Okay. Maybe not as bad as those who suffered at the end of book #1, considering… (my lips are sealed!) but you know. I need #3!
COOL NEWS: The series has just been “picked” up by Penguin Publishing (Penguin publishing (Puffin books)! They will be re-releasing the books under their label soon (new covers… the works!), although the books are still available right now in the “indie version”.

About book #1:

I agree I am on pins and needles for the next book. I loved both books and have read the first one twice. I will probably read both again right before next book comes out.
I LOVED this series and am with you…I need #3! (I’m a coward and waited for book 2 prior to reading too.) What is it with us? My hubby says that I have an overpowing need to have everything tied in a perfect bow…or ELSE! Hmmm, he might have something there.
I can’t wait for June. I don’t think I can handle re-reading them again till June. The pain that the books put me through. I may have to go into therapy untill then.
I’m with Monica. Can’t believe we have to wait until June!
i’ve almost read this several times but i think i will wait till almost june and then be able to read all three, i hate being left in suspense, LOL.. its to much stress:) i would have died if i had read 50 shades before all were released lol, hate those cliff hanger endings, when u have to wait
I cried at the end of book #1. I loved book #2 and cannot wait for the last book. This is a series I will never forget.
This series is so depressing. But Rebecca Donovan has written an amazing series. I guess June is when the next one comes out? sigh…
daaaaaammmmmnnnnn june 2013
I loved these books so much I’am hanging for the 3rd so much angst and I wanted to cry….. Poor Evan he is so sweet errr I want the release date for the third.
I also loved these books, and like evryone else im spitting waiting for book 3 ! June can honestly not come fast enough for me . Does anyone have any other books they can recomend to me . i seem to go through books so quick that each time i get recomendations ive already read most of them.
WOW!!! I couldn’t put book one down, so of course I had to buy book 2. Now I am left with a little hole in my chest not knowing what happens!! UGH!!! I hate cliff hangers when the next book isn’t out!! But I LOVE this series, makes you wonder how you ever lived without it, lol.
Two of the best books I have ever devoured. June is only 8 months away and Evan’s moms letter will be in the book. The only thing that is getting through this 8 months is that I know they love each other and Evan will save her from herself.
I just finished reading these books. only took me a few days. coupld lost nights of sleep and one day of ignoring my family. there was just no way i could put them down. i don’t i’ll make it to June. I just finished reading them and already started reading book 1 again. My heart is breaking for *spoiler* and I just seriously hope *spoiler*. And they *spoiler* 3rd book. I need another full book of Evan and Emma scenes. They were all so sweet and loving. I don’t think I’ve books with such cliff hangers. They were just great books. I found myself not breathing a couple times.
I have say thank you to Angel for what she said, how Evan will save her from herself. That’s the only thing getting me through to June. I’ve read many books but none have affected me like this one. I’m more excited about the 3rd book then the 3rd book to finish up The Crossfire Series.
Wow! Great series here! I love these books don’t know if I can wait til June for the 3rd one :/ I hope there’s a happy ending to the 3rd one! I felt so bad for Evan can’t believe she left him but I agree as well I believe Evan will save her from herself she’s just gota let him in! Can’t wait til June!!!!!!
I loved these books and was equally tortured by them. So much emotion! I pictured Jonathan as Henry Cavill which made it hard for me to object to any of his behavior. I pictured Rachel as Jennifer Aniston for some reason. I eagerly look forward to book 3 and hope there is more to see from all of these characters.
I am glad im not the only one wanting book 3. I wished now I had waited til book 3 came out cos now I can’t wait for book 3. They were emotional, frustrating at times cos you wanted to shake some of the characters but overall my eyes wept because the author wrote 2 very good books and kept me struggling to put them down. I hope the 3rd book gives me the ending I would like and without spoiling it I am sure those that have read both books know what I mean
what a fantastic read this was, I could not put it down and couldn’t wait to see how it ended, but at the same time I didn’t want it to end. It totally grabbed my heart strings this book, how much can one girl go through in her young life. I am surprised she is still breathing. A defo must read, one of my fav stories ever read, loved it, 5 stars for this one.
You have to read book 3!!! This is one of my favorite series of all time!!!!! 10 stars easily!!!!
Will there be a book 4 to this series? It isn’t obvious at the end of book 3, however it did leave it open to one…Just curious. I really enjoyed these three books and would love to see them married and on with their lives…LOL
