I was looking for a book about unrequited love, with a super-moody hero, and this one delivered! Very good read (here’s my review), great writing, lots of pining and emotional angst and fun-filled heartache. 😉 Plus romance (but of course). And come to find out, there are two more books in the series (one was just released)!!! So I posted the reading order below.
Cheryl: Seeing Jahleel listed as book one I clicked on it and saw that the sequel Keeping Jahleel is out. Forgot there was going to be one. Think I’m going to read it today since I couldn’t decide what to read next and I agree Jahleel was sooo good!! I love Jahleel’s 4-step wish!! *swoon* Bev- no cliffhanger. Just left you wanting “more.”
Twila: Love this series. Just finished Keeping Jahleel it’s a short but was 5 stars for me. He’s an ass but wow!
Raine: Omg, JK from S. Ann Cole’s Jahleel seriously needs to be on that list!! Talk about mooooody!
Noelle: Jahleel in Jahleel by S. Ann Cole comes to mind. I kept putting off reading that book because I knew I had to prepare myself for an emotional roller coaster. It did not disappoint. I hated Jahleel in the beginning of the book but he grew on me towards the end. I really felt for the heroine.
Lee: Just finished Jahleel (from a previous Maryse list) and loved it 5* as well, I can’t get it out of my head.
See? Just what the book-doctor ordered. 😉
About book #1:
I’m an idiot. I’m too stupid to be human. Too stupid to live. I lack common sense.
I used to be a normal human being. Until the guy in the red hoodie. Just a glance, and I was owned. Enslaved. What’s worst? He didn’t even notice me.
Yep. You guessed right: I’m delusional. I’m obsessed. I’m a stalker. A martyr. A masochist. I’ve allowed my obsession to lead me down into a deep, dark pit, selfishly hurting everyone around me, and only his requited love can pull me out of it.
But I won’t apologize for it. I won’t apologize for being in love with Jahleel Kingston.
I’ve loved him at first sight. I’ve loved him for five empty years. I’ve loved him through all his bullcrap and asshole-isms.I love him even now.
My name is Saskia Day. I’m British. I’m famous. I’m stinking rich. And this is my pathetic story. Read at your own bloody risk.
