Here is a recent update by the author about the delay for book #3:
“Dear Friends:
I know you all have been waiting for the release of the third book in the Danvers series, but I have an announcement to make which I’m hoping you will understand and support. A few weeks ago, my agent contacted me with an offer for my first three books from Penguin Publishing. Things went back and forth with Penguin over the next few weeks with their wonderful editor Kerry and finally a deal was offered that I couldn’t refuse. When I began this journey, I never imagined that I would be contacted by the second biggest publisher in the world, and I certainly never imagined that they would want me to become part of their family. They love and believe in the Danvers series, just as you, my friends do. The only difficult part of this decision for me was disappointing you. I have worked so hard to bring my next book to you as I promised by the end of September. They plan to delay the ebook release of Book 3 until DECEMBER.
Now before you pass out and start yelling, I will say that after discussing it, I understand their reasoning. Since this book has not been released yet, they would like for it to go through their full editing process. Yes, I have had this book edited on my own, but after doing this for a few books, I certainly know that it is hard for just one editing process to address all of the changes that typically need to be made in a book. The result here is that you will have a much better edited book and also a beautiful cover which Penguin will design. There should also be a pre-order option soon and I will let you know as soon as they release that information to me.
Another thrilling aspect of my partnership with Penguin will be the release of my books in paperback form! The plan right now is to release in PAPERBACK Weekends Required in January 2013, Not Planning on You in February 2013 and Falling in Love with Me in March 2013. Remember the ebook version of Book 3 will be December. I really hope that everyone will understand and support this decision. We have all been in this together from the beginning and I would be lost without the friendship and support of my friends here. I’m excited about this new venture with Penguin, it’s a dream I never dared to dream. I want to share it with you every step of the way and I hope you guys can forgive me for making you wait a little longer than any of us thought for the next book. I LOVED the first 2 books. I’m someone that never will pick up a book and read. I can count on one hand all the books I have read in my life for my self. I started Reading the first Book and I couldn’t put it down. I was so sad when I was done reading that it was over till I saw that their was another one. I’m So excited for the next one.

I really enjoyed the first two books and was looking forward to the third. I was thinking about this series the other day and wondered if she’d just decided to put it on hold. Glad that wasn’t the case! I look forward to reading the third book!
