Born of Night
I finished this book a couple of days ago, and haven’t stopped thinking about it! Great little book (a fewΒ eye-rollingΒ moments, but overall, one of my favorites!) I can’t wait for the next one in the series to come out. While it doesn’t contain any vampires, orΒ hunky “weres”, the guys (not exactly human), are all-out sexy, and the main character captured my heart. I never thought I’d be that interested in “futuristic” themed novels, this one was easy to love.

Some new books added to my pile!
Well, not actually new releases, but definitely some that I needed to complete some of the series I have already started.
Sex and the Single VampireΒ by Katie MacAlister (DARN!! I already had this one – now I have it twice!) Does this happen to anyone else? See what I get for being lazy and not updating “My Bookshelf” list regularily? I use my “Bookshelf” list, on myΒ iphoneΒ as my reference for what I already have, (when I’m browsing for books). It does me no good if I have’t updated it, though!Β grrrr!!!…I’ve done this a few times now!Β Most recently, I purchased “Dark Side of the Moon” from Sherrilyn Kenyon twice, but the cutie on the cover makes it somehow less painful…Β – tee hee! π Sex, Lies and Vampires (The Dark Ones, Book 3)Β by Katie MacAlisterEven Vampires Get the Blues (The Dark Ones, Book 4)
Book Review – Unleash the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Unleash the Night (Dark-Hunter, Book 9)
ThisΒ book focusesΒ once again, on the Were-Hunters, in particular, a Katagaria male (part human/part animal), Wren Tigarian.Β He was ostracized as a child, by both of his parents, for being born half snow leopard and half white tiger,Β and ridiculed forΒ the difficulties he had achieving and controlling his powers.
Orphaned as a teen (and under suspicion for the death of his parents),Β now a sullen young adult, he resides and works at “Sanctuary” (aΒ bar/hostel where all “others” such as Weres, Dark Hunters and even Daimons can temporarily co-exist in peace). Living a childhood without substantial emotional connection, and being witness to a terrible violence, he has isolated himself, internalizingΒ his turmoil, andΒ does not communicate with anyone around him. While he associates with only a few people, he has forged aΒ delicate friendship with the barkeeper’s daughter “Aimee”.
