Afterlight: The Dark Ink Chronicles
Hey Guys! Good to see you back! I’m still embarrassed that I lost the keys to Maryse’s place and locked my keys in my truck. *sigh* I would lose my head if was not attached. I am so excited about camping out here this week! I forgot to get an air mattress, but I’m sure that won’t matter right? I did remember to get blood though. Small problem. Do you know about mosquitoes? I really hate those little effers. As soon as I open a bottle they act like it’s open bar. I don’t care for them.

Lily’s Want List
Hey everyone I am on my way now to Maryse’s! Guess what I am doing this week?! Not that! Get your brains out of the gutters ladies (that means you Sherry)…
Maryse has trusted me, again, to blog-sit for a few days. I am going to make her proud this time. No parties. No weres that pee on the rug. No purple swimming pools. I am going to be the BEST progeny EVER. Well, I’m going to try anyways.
I found out last week that Sandra Hill put out a new Viking book called The Reluctant Viking. Well, I remembered I LOVED this time travel romance about a viking when I was way too young to be reading such things. Well, guess what?! SAME AUTHOR. I loved that book! It was called “The Last Viking” and I am not ashamed to admit I still have it. With the Fabio cover and everything. Rock on Sandra Hill, I will be picking this one up.
We are almost there…yay! I love her house! She has the best couch and always stocks beef jerky. I love beef jerky. I am looking forward to a nice warm bottle of Trueblood and a Slim Jim. Oh yeah!
Another one I saw and I am craving is Born of Shadows (The League)by Sherrilyn Kenyon. This author is on my auto buy list. I was not as thrilled with the last League book like I was with the first, but I am still excited about it. This is sci-fi but still good. I mean it is Kenyon after all! And speaking of her….OMG I can NOT WAIT for Retribution (Dark-Hunter)(Dark Hunter #20). That book is about SUNDOWN! Do you remember him from Zarek’s book? He was the only one who was nice to him. I loved William Jessup Brady and I have not forgotten the old west gun slinger. I know the book does not come out until AUGUST – but I have to talk about it now. Why? Because I want it now. That’s why.
You know what else is neat about Maryse’s place. She lets me have roam of the whole place. Last time I was there I found all these pics of her as a kid, and man I loved them! She was so freaking cute! And that hair….it’s always been pretty but through the years…. well lets just say the Eighties were a dark time my friends. Dark days indeed. I didn’t tell you that.
Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, Book 11)is out… it’s the next Sookie book by Charlaine Harris…..I have been complaining about this one. Ok, I know there is Eric in there, but I don’t know, I want some old school, kick your arse Eric….the Eric we got the last two books has been, well, watered down. I like the sneaky Eric. Bring back my Alpha Vamp please. Ok thanks.
Book Review – Something Wicked by Michelle Rowen
Something Wicked (Living in Eden Novel, A)
It’s safe to say that I was destined to love this series, considering the book cover. Yes. I am that shallow. 😳 It was great to not have to fight for the image of the hero to create itself in my head, for once. In this series, the image was so thoughtfully provided, and what an image it is!
Darrak, an unlucky demon forged from hellfire itself, is now stuck in the human world, because once upon a time, the wicked witch of the west (well, I don’t really know *where* she was from) snatched him out of his cozy abode in hell, and trapped him. Using him (for his body and his powers), she developed enough black magic within her that she was able to banish him when he eventually tried to kill her. Or so she thought.

Here are the confessions of a vampire. Hypnotic, shocking, and chillingly erotic, this is a novel of mesmerizing beauty and astonishing force–a story of danger and flight, of love and loss, of suspense and resolution, and of the extraordinary power of the senses.
