Not a HUGE list of new releases today, but some have really caught my eye in the contemporary section. And the Christmas ones have caught my husband’s eye too, although he’s wishing they were Lifetime movies for him. LOL!!! That just makes me giggle. Ahhh what a sweet life it would be to have him reading these romance novels with me. But I can’t complain, at least he likes to watch the movies. And don’t get me started on the Hallmark commercials. No, not me… HIM! Okay… maybe me, too. 😉

Gena Showalter – Tales of an Extraordinary Girl Reading Order
Brought to my attention by Dixie:
“I was wondering if you could add the “Tales of an Extraordinary Girl” book series by Gena Showalter.”
You bet Dixie! This one looks right up my alley. 🙂
About the series:
Earth, Wind and Fire aren’t just a band anymore!
Used to be my greatest achievement was holding a job more than three days. Now suddenly I can shoot fireballs, chill your drink, or blow-dry your hair at fifty paces with a blink of my eye!
It all started when this crazy scientist dropped something in my Grande Mocha Latte. Of course I got wicked sick. Next morning I’m waking up with this total hottie bending over me. He tells me 1) his name’s Rome Masters, 2) he’s a government agent and 3) I can control the four elements with a thought.
Book Review – The Perfect Game by J. Sterling
The Perfect Game: A Novel (The Game Series Book 1)
Angsty roller-coaster of a read with some highs and lows for the characters (and for me as a reader, too). There were parts that I liked, extra-liked… and not-so-liked. But there was a part that I really latched on to. A crazy-good middle that had me hooked for a portion of it. But overall, it was a 3 star book for me.
The beginning was more of a generic/good/typical start. College good girl sees (and swoons over) college bad boy hottie at a party and of course she catches his eye, too. Friends immediately intervene with the whole “Stay away, he’s bad news.” You know. He’s a player… and everything that goes with that. Of course he’s a superstar amongst his peers (this one is a baseball hero), and he’s a sexual urban legend, too!
Sylvain Reynard – Gabriel’s Inferno Series Reading Order
<— REMEMBER THIS MUST-READ forbidden romance (student-teacher) classic from back in our early indie days??? Well, they’re making a movie and book #4 will be out soon!!!! 😀
What our fellow readers are saying (Gabriel’s books are so often recommended and he is so very loved!!):
Annie: OK – dying to know what you think of this book – I absolutely loved it and the next one as well – Gabriel’s Rapture.
Jo: I now have another man in my life Professor Gabriel Emerson, he’s a well respected Dante specialist by day, but boy does he have a dark side.
Book Review – Gabriel’s Inferno by Sylvain Reynard
Gabriel’s Inferno
I read this one way back when while it was gaining popularity, receiving tons of attention, and I too, found myself enjoying it for the most part. I’d say the first 65-75% I crushed on Professor Gabriel Emerson, despite (or maybe even because of) his obnoxious mood swings. After all, so many of us love a hero that doesn’t show his true emotions easily, except for his grumpy, “keep-away” side. And when he finally does open up to someone… we swoon. It makes it all that much more special. Gabriel is “that” hero… the wealthy, brilliant and gorgeous University professor, but with an angry, impatient and somewhat snobbish aire about him.
