Marcia: The Wager (The Bet Series) by Rachel Van Dyken had me in hysterics! You MUST read!
Jenn: I absolutely adored The Bet; it was light, sweet, and sexy and oh so damn funny! Definitely a book to read after a “dark” read.
Lisa: I read The Bet and it was sooo good!! Great story and I laughed so many times! Definitely a great book to read after some of the darker ones I’ve read recently.
Lysa: I actually read The Bet, and I have to say I was literally laughing out loud through the book. Between the angst and the “almosts” that had me ALMOST in tears. Loved it! There was a review that threw me before I read it, but I ignored the review that called the characters unrealistic and immature (if you’ve had a childhood friend, then you know your interactions with them are not always mature) . . . and their interactions had me laughing so hard!!! LOVED it.

Danielle: Holy mess this is the worst book hangover I’ve had in a long time! Not an overtly emotional person but the story of Kate and Asher had me ugly crying and fearing for the longevity of my kindle. Wow is the only thing I can keep saying. Well played Lisa De jong well played.

So yes, I *squirreled* this one right to the top (even though I was reading something else in the meantime). But, you know…. in a way, it was pre-positioned in the #1 spot on my TBR list, even before it’s release. Anything Kristen Ashley is pretty much straight to the top of my reading list.
Couldn’t help but raise my eyebrows at a couple of these brand spankin’ new releases of the day.

Allure by Lacey Weatherford <— This one sounds all sorts of unconventional love and taboo… and it seems to have it all! 1.) he’s a tattoo artist, 2.) AND a stripper 3.) And he’s her older brother’s friend. 4.) he doesn’t seem to know she exists. 5.) He’s got a steady girlfriend. and 6.) She (the heroine) is only 17. GAH! “But what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…right?” Eeeeeeep!!! 😉
