Happy Friday and happy reading weekend. Another one to indulge in, and this Friday Finds list brings us so many AWESOME new releases (and the tried-and-true reader recommendations sound PERFECT for us!!)
<— In fact, I’m reading The Unremembered Girl: A Novel (that one there to the left). A psych-thriller (I think!!) but it almost seems like it might have an angsty love story developing, and I’m scared. Delightfully so!!! 😀 😉 I’m almost halfway in and loving it… and I have NO clue where it’s going, but I think it’s gonna be bad (in a good way).
But if that’s not what you’re looking for…
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE FOUND !!
Archives for November 2017
Reader Question – The book about the girl who’s in love with her boss (but he has a girlfriend)…
Tread carefully with this reader question. But I’m excited to know which one it is. Lola spoiler-alerted, but I couldn’t help but read it. 😉 And I know it would rip my heart out.
So I extra-spoiler alerted for y’all, so you’ll know when to stop reading if you don’t already know it. 😉 I feel like I *may* have read this before, or something similar (it’s reminding me of a Jeannine Colette book, maybe?)
Lola asks:
Hi Maryse! I have a reader’s question. I read this a while ago and it’s killing me to remember.
Reader Question – The book about the rich girl that was kidnapped and the soldier that took care of her…
Rajneet has one for us! Oh I do love the strong protective soldiers. 😉 But I haven’t read this one yet. Have you?
She asks:
Hi I am looking for a book I read a while back.
In the opening scenes a girl has been capture and kidnapped a solider who works for her father saves her.
She used to be rich and spoiled and when she comes back her dad makes her lie about the kidnapping. She drinks and parties and the solider who saved her starts to take care of her. She also has a sister who her father treats much better…
Reader Question – The book about the girl that lets the musician go, so he can find success…
Lisa needs our help, you guys! It’s a rock star book, so I know one of us has read it. Kind of sounds like it could be a love triangle, in fact.
She asks:
I am trying to find a book I read.
He was a musician, she let him go to find his success. After he was gone she discovered she was pregnant.

Reader Confession – I like the steamy scenes that sneak up on me…
It’s true. There was a time where I devoured every single sex scene with abandon. My jaw dropping, eyes bugging out and my mind thinking…. OOOOOH YEAH!!! WHAT. IS. THIS???
Whhhhooooooooo hoooooooooo!!!
After all, year after year of horror reading and autobiographies, romance opened up a whole new world to me. 😉 And then of course… the world of erotica. Good times. Oh yes.
But as in most that read every day, and have read that way for years… we become… somewhat immune (or book-sex jaded?) Oh sure. We’re still affected, but it’s gotta be GOOOOOOOOOOOD. And for me, it appears gooooooooood = super-slow burn, and completely unexpected lead up until… OMG. IT’S HAPPENING and it seems so real. Mind, heart and *ahem* … parts. 😉 The super-intimate seems to really get me.
