<— HAPPY MONDAY and what a happy day it is!!! A few EXTRA exciting new releases that snuck in early (like that one there to the left). 😉 Yep. You guessed it. It’s what I’m going to read next! But first… tell me about your weekend. Let’s play “Three Things…” – I’ll start!
1.) I’m also reading a psych-thriller (an ARC) called Cross Her Heart: A Novel (releasing in a week or two), I’m 50% in, and I have NO clue what’s going on. LOL!!! That’s okay… I like it like that! This could go anywhere and I hear the twist is jaw-dropping. Oh how I hope!!!
2.) I’m lonely. 😉 My family is gone, and the house is so quiet. It’s peaceful, sure, back to my comfortable routine – and I’m a routine girl for sure, but… I’m lonely.
3.) I want a re-do of the entire last week (from August 11th to the 17th), only because it was so awesome and I want to do it all over again.

Left at the Altar Series Reading Order
Ahhhhh FUN!!! I love the sound of this, and it’s a “series collaboration” (and Raine Miller’s contribution to the series JUST WENT LIVE today!)
LEFT AT THE ALTAR series in a collaboration of six New York Times Bestselling Authors: J. S. Scott, Ruth Cardello, Raine Miller, Sawyer Bennett, Minx Malone, and Melody Anne.
About book #1:
Lia:
I thought I had my life all worked out. My wedding had been meticulously planned. All I had to do was walk down the aisle and get married to the man I’d been engaged to for over a year.
Pretty easy and uncomplicated, right?
Unfortunately, all of my well laid plans go up in smoke when my fiance leaves me at the church alone because he found a woman who was better suited for his snobby world of wealth and privilege.
Problem is, I really have to get married. All of my hopes and dreams are dependent on me tying the knot by my twenty-eighth birthday, and the date is closing in fast.
As usual, my best friend Zeke Conner is there to pick up the pieces when I get jilted by a jerk. He helps me work through the demoralizing event so I can put it behind me and move on. But when he offers to marry me himself, I’m stunned. But it’s a bargain I can’t really refuse.
As my relationship changes with my best friend, I find myself caught in a web of sensual desire and unending passion that’s as terrifying as it is satisfying. Probably because it seems all too real.
But our arrangement was supposed to be temporary. A deal between friends so that we’d both benefit. What will happen when it all ends?
Kelly St. Clare – The Tainted Accords Series Reading Order
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by my fellow readers, it’s a fantasy series AND it’s complete!!
Tessa: Alright, I just finished a series I had to read all the way through; The Tainted Accords by Kelly St. Clare. 4 book fantasy that involves a severely abused “princess” and um, her adventures. Seriously a lot just happens. That’s the best explanation without any spoilers. So, I guess, my desire for fantasy is back! YEAH!
Robyn: I just finished Fantasy of Frost (The Tainted Accords series) and am absolutely loving it. There are 3 more books. The h has to wear a veil over her face and has since she was a small child. I won’t give away why she has to because it’s part of the main plot of the books. I got my groove back with these beauties!
Robyn: I’m reading the last book of the Tainted Accords by Kelly St. Clare and I don’t want them to end. These books are that good!
Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations – August 17th 2018
Happy Friday!! It’s time for the Friday Finds (which I’m still currently working on will be adding more throughout the day), so keep checking back.
My family is leaving today and my heart is a bit sad, but my book will keep me company. 😉 I will be reading ALL weekend. YAY ME!!!
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE FOUND FOR THE WEEKEND !!
- The Charm of You by Jennifer Probst <— LIVE!!! LATEST BY JENNIFER PROBST!!! She was once an awkward college student and he was the popular jock... “…when Nolan comes back into town, and doesn’t even recognize the girl he once destroyed, she decides to invoke her own personal revenge. The plan is simple—make him fall hard for her, then dump him. She transforms herself into his perfect woman using three simple steps to spin her web. But she never planned on getting caught up in old feelings…and new promises…”
- Ghosted by J.M. Darhower <— GASP!!! SUPER-BARGAIN ALERT!! This is a MUST READ (I gave it 5 STARS!!!) and here’s my review
Tessa: Ghosted. That one worked beautifully. *swoons* That one is worthy of a re-read.
Ashley: Ghosted by J.M. Darhower. I bought it this morning and listened to it at work today…it was SO good! I love a great second chance romance.
Leslie M: Ghosted: Those journal entries KILLED me. Her love & devotion and then heartbreak punched me right in the feels. …Ghosted is one of my all time faves!!!
Nay: Let me just say that everyone was so, SO right! Ghosted is RUINING me–and I LOVE it!
Reader Question – Any recommendations for Stockholm Syndrome books that don’t necessarily end in an HEA?
Charlene is looking for a very specific “Dark” genre… and oooooohhhh yes! I LOVE going through that whole “in love with a very bad guy” dark kind of story, and having no clue how it’s going to end. There are a few that end *ahem* in a loving way, for sure, but not all of them do. All that attachment and wanting to please (even if it’s so wrong) and in the end…?
Hrmmmm… I certainly have a few that come to mind!! Okay I’m going to dig into my reviews, and see what I can pull up, but BEWARE!!!!! These recommendations are sort of “spoilery” in that Charlene is looking for a particular kind of ending. We might not know exactly how it ends (twists etc), but if it’s recommended here, there’s a chance it doesn’t end sweet. Er… well, I guess it depends on the character. 😉
