Good morning and Happy Early Bird Release Day Monday! There’s a new bully-book out (that one there to the left). 😉 Also quite a few others below that I couldn’t help but highlight. Lots of great early birds today. But first…
THREE THINGS:
1.) I watched The Possession of Hannah Grace this weekend. It was GOOOOD & pretty scary. There are a few scenes that still give me the heebie-jeebies when I think back on them.
2.) I made my very first Corned Beef & Cabbage in the crock pot this weekend. With a bottle of Guinness beer in it, veggies, and everything. IT. WAS. FANTASTIC!!!!! Hardest thing to do? Peeling my carrots. *snort* Oh how I love my crockpot. Throw everything in, in the morning, and by evening, a big hearty meal, people raving about how incredibly delicious it is and going back for seconds. And it, yet again, being one of the easiest meals I’ve ever made. Happiness!!
3.) I’m still sick. Functional sick, mind you… which is much better than a week or so ago, when I stayed in bed for three days in a row (literally!!). But OMG this is the longest lasting, most annoying cold (or whatever it is) that I’ve ever had. I’ll feel better and think I’m finally kicking this thing, and then it powers up again. If the zombie apocalypse comes, I’m hoping (as vicious as this one was) that this was the early stages of the”originating virus” that I’m now immune to, and won’t become a Zombie once the virus mutates into that mode. *snort* I know I know… I read too much. 😉 Speaking of which…

Calia Read – The Surviving Time Trilogy Reading Order
BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! THE TRILOGY IS COMPLETE!!! Book #3 (Echoes of Time) Just. Went. Live!!! ➔➔➔➔➔➔
<— THIS TRILOGY SOUNDS LIKE MY ANGSTY ROMANCE DREAM COME TRUE!!! Holy moly, it’s got everything I love. A love triangle? A past moody husband that is back in her life… and time travel (throwing her back in his!!)
MichelleS: I’m reading a perfect “summer read”. It’s a time travel romance. She’s an antique store owner who finds a photograph she’s drawn to. She gets thrown back to 1912 Charleston & is the wife of a broody, well off man who hates her. She wants to get back to her fiancé in 2017. Really good story so far! It’s called The Surviving Trace. It’s got the formula I love: feisty girl, brooding man. Yay.
Amy A. Bartol – Second Born Series Reading Order
<— DYSTOPIAN ALERT & OMG I LOVE the sound of this one.
Tessa: Something definitely unique and fantasy is Secondborn by Amy Bartol. I really liked that series, and am waiting with bated breath for the last of the trilogy. (I think it will be anyway?)
…Secondborn and Traitor Born by Amy Bartol just blew me away. It was so high in angst, GAH. I loved it.
Nay: I’m going to check out this Secondborn series, even if it is YA. If they’re angsty enough, sometimes I end up loving them more than some of the corny NAs out there.
Meghan Quinn – Dating by Numbers Series Reading Order
In the mood for a lighthearted and humorous read? My fellow readers are recommending this series!!
Cheryl: I wanted funny, well I’ve been reading Three Blind Dates by Meghan Quinn and laughing hysterically. It started out a little slowly, but OMG I have been laughing so hard I’m crying.
The thoughts and actions of the main character Noely and her brother and sister-in-law are both cringe-worthy and hilarious. Haven’t quite decided which of the three dates I want her to end up with, but I *think* I know which one it will be.
Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations – 03-15-19
<— HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!! A few new releases went live, that look like they might just rock our worlds (like that one to the left – Over You by Stevie J. Cole – that sounds SO GOOD!) Plus, some reader recommendations and bargain finds and…
What am I reading next? I’ve got two books picked out for this weekend to read (one super-angsty romance that’s from a few years ago Don’t Let Go). It was recommended as a great choice for what to read after The Sweet Gum Tree, and then those that jumped in went CRAZY for it, and commented on that post saying so. SO yeah… I GOTTA read it!!!
Also, I chose Her: A Psychological Thriller (by Britney King) and on this part alone: “For fans of the anti-heroine and stories told in unorthodox ways, Her delivers us the perfect dark and provocative villain. The only question–who is it?” I was all… MINE!!!! You know me. 😉 SQUEEEEE!!!
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE FOUND FOR THE WEEKEND !!
