Kenesha needs our book help and this one is DARK. In fact, you know what?

One part of her question gives me that “Comfort Food” feel that I LOVED so and hurt through sooooooo much – remember that part?? – that had me wondering… “how can it be???? And yet why do I FEEEEEEL this way? GAHHHHHH!!!;) Stockholm Syndrome is so confusing.

Anyway…

She asks:

Hi Maryse,

I have a reader question. I have been racking my brain and googling like crazy to find a dark romance read where the lady was kidnapped at her ballet show.

She was held for a long time and then…

fell for her captor and in the end…

they were in New York and he let her escape and she was found by the cops.

I am hoping part 2 is out now. Please help me figure out the name of the book.

thank you so much

Anyone have a guess?

Stephanie: Could it be Indebted, by Pepper Winters?

Ann: I think I got this one: In the Land of Gods and Monsters, Part One (Gods & Monsters Book 1) by Carmen Jenner.

Jan: Not the book you want, but one I read (and liked) recently that was a darkish romance with a ballet dancer h was Hidden Worthiness (The Pagano Brothers Book 2) by Susan Fanetti. Your description kinda reminded me of it a bit.

Teri: It’s Debt Inheritance (Indebted Book 1) (book1) – I’ll never forget it! VERY dark.

Teri: Nope, wait… I lied (I think) LOLOL… I need another cup of coffee before I do anything but breathe. Debt Inheritance, she was a designer and taken from her show… not the ballet. Oops :-)

Cindy: Could it be Rose and Thorn Complete Series: A Dark Romance Box Set by Fawn Bailey?

Kenesha: Yes Maryse the book I was looking for is In the Land of Gods and Monsters by Carmen Jenner. I immediately started reading part 2. Thank you so much. Don’t know what I would do without your blog.

Maryse: YAY!!!! Another one solved and it sounds AMAZING. Thank you Ann (and everyone that submitted a guess). We’ve got a nice little “dark list” going on here. :D

Looking for a book where the h lives with her dad and step mom who hurt her a lot(physically) and she’s bullied a lot in school. She attempts suicide when it gets worse but the H who is from her school saves her who also said something mean to her before but realised how wrong he was to do that. They meet 2-3 years later in the same college.
The book is a standalone and not Reason to Breathe by Rebecca Donovan
