Welcome to the ninth installment of “You’ll Never Believe…”
For those that don’t know what these new featurettes will be about, here is the scoop! “You’ll Never Believe…” will feature the weirdest questions or encounters that authors have been asked/had. Might be about their books or random things, like meetings in a bathroom where someone asked what brand of toilet paper they normally use. Fun stuff and inside scoops that an author would not normally share.
This time… Christy is asked for a little… advice. 😉
“You’ll Never Believe” By Christy Pastore
This summer I attended a block party in our neighborhood. We had some new people move in on the street and someone suggested we have a fun gathering to get to know each other. After a few hours had gone by someone asked me what I did for a living. My response was simply, “I’m an Author.” Immediately, I was swarmed and asked a billion questions. “What kind of books do you write?” was the question du jour. I simply replied, “Contemporary romance with a dash of sexiness.”
A younger twenty-something guy said, “So, Fifty Shades of Grey and smutty type books, right?”
“Well, there’s no bondage or S&M, just explicit language and a lot of steamy scenes between the main characters.”
You’ll never believe what he asked me next. Or maybe you will.
“Since you write this kind of stuff, you must live it. Can you give me some advice on how to sexually please my girlfriend?”
“Uhmm, not quite and no.”
It took everything in me not to laugh in his face. Not only was this completely awkward coming from someone I’d just met, but there is no way I am expertly qualified to dish out advice on one’s sex life. That would put me in an entirely different career. I’d take that paycheck though, wouldn’t you?
LOL!!

“His gaze on me was intense, I couldn’t look away. I felt as if I was revealing my entire soul to him in this moment.”
The range of emotions I had experienced with Ronan felt like a topsy-turvy spinning roller coaster. Suddenly I was awake for the first time in what felt like years. Every fiber of my being was filled with heated desire, passion, lust and fear, and all I wanted was more… more of everything, more of him. How had I just lived these past few years only going through the motions? But, as glorious as all of this was, was I kidding myself? Could it be real? Or just a moment in time – a few days of thrilling and scary excitement rolled into one? The moment before you hit that first big drop on your favorite coaster, you fall, and then it’s over.
This isn’t your typical Hollywood fairy tale where the typecast ordinary girl next door meets the famous handsome actor and they fall in love. Despite the emotional and physical scars that serve as reminders of Holliday Prescott’s past, she has evolved into a strong young woman. Ronan Connolly has loved and lost, but he’s never been in love. The weight of Hollywood’s expectations and the scripted games people play have left him bruised but not broken.
He’s always followed everyone else’s script and she wrote her own. That was until fate swept in with other plans.
MATURE CONTENT – This story contains sexually explicit material and is intended for mature individuals over the age of eighteen.
