Maryse’s Ultimate List of Book Lists!

in Book Recommendations

*squeeeee* is right!! All of my (and our!!) book lists, compiled on one page. :P

So… what are you in the mood for? ‘Cause I have a list for that! ;)

LOL what a title!!! But it is EXACTLY that. Lately I’ve been contacted (quite frequently in fact), asking where a specific list is, that my fellow readers saw a few weeks ago, and would like to use, but can no longer find. *sigh* I know… rolleyes

They get lost… in the plethora of blog posts.

Heidi: Please please update your TBR list! This is from last year.

Maryse: Hi Heidi! I DO have a new one!!! :D Here it is…

Keely: I’m not sure if I just can’t find it, but do you have a favorites list for your favorite all time series?

Rachel: Just wanted to know if you had a best books of 2014 as I can’t find it anywhere! New to this site, still.

Bushra: Hi Maryse you had put up a post a while ago about books that are like Kirsten Ashley’s Golden Dynasty… i read it and LOVED it and now i wana see what else is on the list….but i cant find it! Can you tell me what was in it? or gimme a link to the list?

And there are so many more like that. I do have them up there, in various menu options and categories, but there’s a “list of lists” need, for sure.

So here it is. This is me, compiling a list OF ALL OF MY BOOK LISTS since the beginning of this blog, right here on one page. What makes this even more exciting for me is that it tickles my “list-making needs”, but also, I can now use this to refer to all of the lists and keep them updated with your latest recommendations.

—-> BOOKMARK this page, ’cause it will be updated weekly!! This will be my go-to page of book favorites! <—-

MY PERSONAL FAVORITES (often includes reader recommendations, too!)

➔ ➔ ➔ ➔ Now… the question is… what are YOU in the mood for? I have a list for that! ;)

GENRE LISTS (includes my favorites & reader recommendations!)

ALL OF MY OLD (and new!) TBR LISTS (over time… now I can backtrack properly!! :D )

ALL OF THE SERIES READING ORDER LISTS (that I’ve posted since 2009)

ALL OF MY BOOK REVIEWS (that I’ve ever written since 2009)

LINKS TO SPECIFIC GENRES ON THIS BLOG (not necessarily “favorites” – just anything everything that has been tagged, on this blog, per these categories – from recommendations, to book reviews, to series reading orders etc…)

Thank you Maryse for this post! Its so helpful! *big hugs*

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 2:09 PM

YAY!! It’s even helpful to me, ’cause now I can just use this list to backtrack each list, and update them. And use them for myself.

Like the numerous TBR lists I’ve created over the years… *gasp*!!

bev July 31, 2015 at 2:13 PM

Whoa. And I thought I liked to make lists, lol

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 2:18 PM

Oh …. *sigh* Organizing is my FAVORITE. I LOVE lists, I love everything having “its place”, I love knowing exactly where everything is.

I’ve even organized my superfluous plastic grocery bags under my counters… it’s a disease, I tell you. I like it though. LOL!!!

Now I feel COMPLETE with this list… all of my TBR lists will be together in one spot, for me to cross stuff out and everything! YAY ME!!!

That picture up there to the left? Yeah… that’s how i feel for real, right now.

Anne July 31, 2015 at 2:22 PM

I love that pic Maryse! Its contagious lol!

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 2:31 PM

LOL!!!! Thank you Anne!! And a little embarrassing, but hey… I like doing that to myself, too. *snort* :P

darhmey July 31, 2015 at 2:32 PM

Nice :)

Barbara July 31, 2015 at 2:40 PM

I love that these lists are put out. Our taste is so similar in books. Love your recommendations. I have sooooooo many of your favorites on my Kindle. If I want to read a good book I just go to you every time and I’m never disappointed

Barbara July 31, 2015 at 2:41 PM

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 2:55 PM

Thank you Barbara!!!

I’m so glad you’re with us. We have pretty book tastes, don’t we? ;)

Marit July 31, 2015 at 3:03 PM

Love this list, Maryse! ;) So many books and not enough time!!!

Michelle F July 31, 2015 at 3:04 PM

Holy f***!!! I think I’m twitching a little right now trying to take it all in. Probably need to pace myself. This is some serious book love here. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with how many I’m going to need to add to my tbr list now. But I’m also having fun seeing how many from the lists I have read as a direct result of your recommendations. Thank you so much, Maryse!

Lee July 31, 2015 at 3:11 PM

ooohkaayyy… and i was finally happy with the number of books i have on my tbr… Slowly walks away from laptop before adding more books !!!

LOL!! Thanks Maryse!!

Diane M July 31, 2015 at 3:43 PM

This is how I found you!! I googled ‘what to read after 50′ one day when I was bored at work and years later me & my friends are forever grateful for amazing books we never would’ve known about

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 3:58 PM

YAY!! Awwwww you guys make me SO happy. I love that we can share our love of books together. It’s like we’re the biggest book club in the world!!

:D All over the world!

Ela July 31, 2015 at 4:17 PM

Confessions: I found you after I read the Twilight books for like the fifth time and finally said “I need new stuff”….hence came YOU BD and FSOG and many many more….then came Book Bash 2013 *partay*!

Jen F. July 31, 2015 at 4:37 PM

Wow!! You’ve been busy! LOVE IT! Thanks

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 5:17 PM

LOL!! After Twilight, I went on a crazy search for “more” like it, and so I made that list and read the recommendations and then this blog grew and grew and grew to the point, even I had no clue where most of my “lists” were anymore…

NOW… we have ‘em all… right here.

Kathryn July 31, 2015 at 5:56 PM

This is awesome. Thank you so much. I myself have been in an organizational mood recently as well. I’ve been going over my Goodreads, Amazon and B&N book lists. I’ve got books that I own on my TBR pile that are not tracked as want-to-read on my Goodreads. My Amazon kindle is under my hubby’s name so I don’t think I can automatically cross reference it with my Goodreads. Barnes and Noble’s setup sucks and it’s hard to go through what I have online. It’s actually easier to do searches right on my Nook.

Nancy Parken July 31, 2015 at 6:05 PM

Maryse: This is absolutely fantastic, & this something to be proud of. Just love it!

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 6:32 PM

Thank you so much Kathryn and Nancy!!! :D

I feel good… relieved. Like I have all of my ducklings in a row. LOL!

MichelleS July 31, 2015 at 6:39 PM

A list of lists!!! YAY!!

So I decided to put everything on the cloud at amazon and just have my TBRs on my actual device. I was freaked out about doing it, thought I’d lose track of everything – but knowing I have this page bookmarked will be perfect! Now I can just find one of your lists that suit my mood.

Best part about YOUR lists versus lists everywhere else?? Well… time and again you have proven we have similar enough taste that it’s a 95% surefire bet if you love it, I’ll love it. And the “gang” that chimes in? Same goes for them.

This post made my day.

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 6:59 PM

And you just made mine, MichelleS!!!

Cheryl July 31, 2015 at 7:06 PM

WOW, this is great!! Bookmarked this page!! Thanks Maryse!

Love the pic!

Grey July 31, 2015 at 7:23 PM

Damn Maryse, you’re all that *AND* a bag of chips girl. This list of lists is everything!

Thank you for your organizational OCD… I’m a big fan of lists…and organization…and OCD *giggle*

Man… I need to figure out what to do with all my books on my kindle. I feel real overwhelmed haha!

Michelle July 31, 2015 at 7:51 PM

Instant bookmark! Awesome, thank you Maryse! I’m LOVING the reader favorite lists especially right now!

Amy July 31, 2015 at 8:19 PM

Bookmarking this page…I love lists!! Are you going to be updating this as you post new lists and such?

I know I’ve said it before but I LOVE it here! I never would have read so many of the amazing books that I have found since coming across your blog. No exaggeration when I say this is like an online home to me. Yeah, yeah…I’m a melodramatic dork but whatever. I love that y’all accept me for ME, I love getting to know all of you, and I love that so many new ladies have been joining in on the chats! Love, love, love all around! Wheeeee!!! *twirling around with arms out* And yes, I’m sober right now…well, FOR now. :P

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 8:46 PM

I sure am, Amy! This will be my MAIN list that I will keep up with, until the end of time. Eventually it will be a never ending scroll… LOL!

But at least everything will be there, within “reach”. ;)

Maryse July 31, 2015 at 8:47 PM

I love it here too! And all y’all!!!

*twirls with Amy*

Tessa July 31, 2015 at 9:54 PM

*catches them as they fall* You sure no drinking yet?

I love this. There’s so many times someone asks for something and your lists come to help. This will making it easier for everyone to find what they are after.

Jackie July 31, 2015 at 10:10 PM

Just last week I googled “Maryse and rock stars” (I had a few *ahem* interesting hits show up). I had just come off reading the third book in the Jamie Shaw’s awesome Mayhem series and I *needed to continue my rock star fix. Thanks for creating all your lists. I’m sure I’ll be referring to them often.

Amy July 31, 2015 at 11:24 PM

*snicker-snort* Now I’m not sober. :P

Jean July 31, 2015 at 11:25 PM

This is awesome Maryse! Thanks so much for all your hard work! All of you are the best book buddies ever!

Amy July 31, 2015 at 11:28 PM

*clambers to grab Jean before she leaves*’s it going with SGT????

Jean July 31, 2015 at 11:35 PM

I loved it so much Amy! Just posted on another thread. Couldn’t put it down tonight until I finished!

Amy July 31, 2015 at 11:36 PM

LOL, we’re playing thread tag…

Maryse August 1, 2015 at 12:23 AM

Amy what about Bastian?

Amy August 1, 2015 at 12:30 AM

Bastian? Okay, now HE could rock a man bun. ;)

Amy August 1, 2015 at 12:33 AM

Oh geez, wrong thread. We’re talking about man buns on the other one.

But Bastian is a bad, bad boy and has a filthy mouth and is a jerk but…

I’m falling for him. :D

Michele F August 1, 2015 at 7:00 AM

Why don’t you have a list of your 2015 favorite books (so far)? I have already read all your previous recommendations.

Maryse August 1, 2015 at 10:07 AM

Hi Michele F!

I *usually* only make one main one a year (or I make a “best summer reads” although I think I do that in August…), so I haven’t created one yet, however, if you click on my “5 star reviews” and my 4.5 star reviews, they start from most recent and go all the way to oldest.

So you’ll see all of my favorites, so far, from 2015 right off the bat.

I hope this helps!

Carla August 2, 2015 at 3:55 PM

Oh my! thanks Maryse! This is gonna be really useful. The unrequited love list is my favorite! I think I have already read everything on it so far.

Fabi August 2, 2015 at 8:06 PM

Priceless. This is just…priceless. *gives Maryse big squeezy thank you hug*

Maryse August 2, 2015 at 9:14 PM

Young August 3, 2015 at 9:41 AM

Maryse, big hug~~ Thanks so much for the great lists!! Funny that I was just thinking ‘wouldn’t that be great if I can find the list of fantasy romance like Warprize series by Elizabeth Vaughan, Lord of the Fading Lands and Written in Red (– all of them I LOVED!! Thanks Michelle S and Michelle, Bev and all others who recommended!!) ‘ I really love the world-building, adventure, interesting characters and romance (do not like romance triangle) mixed in it. I’m in huge big book funk () and would love any recommendation for great fantasy romance books!

Grey August 3, 2015 at 9:55 AM

Young…. if you haven’t already, I’m throwing a rec out there for The Fantasyland series by Kristen Ashley. I am just finishing book 4 now, after recommendations from the Peanut Gallery here…and it is going to wreck me for a while it’s so good!

Young August 3, 2015 at 11:42 AM

Grey, thanks!! I will look them up. I loved all KA temporary books and know that many of you recommended.

MichelleS August 3, 2015 at 12:48 PM

Young – you may like Radiance, by Grace Draven. Definitely fantasy romance – and very well written.

Young August 4, 2015 at 9:01 AM

Thanks MichelleS! I will check out Radiance. Again thanks for directing me to Lord of the fading lands! It was the BOMB!

Stacey October 1, 2015 at 9:36 AM

Hyde and Seek by Layla Frost is an absolute must read…..Jake is definitely a yummy alpha ****Mr. Bossy Pants**** male, its a good mix of funny, hot (yep, new book BF) , and has a good twist. It gave me the tummy turnovers which I havent experienced from a book in a while. One of my favorites of the year :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amber October 26, 2015 at 12:39 PM

Hello, first I want to tell you how much I appreciate your recommendations. We seem to have similar tastes. What do you do with the books you hate? Every book cant be super good right? I would love to get warnings, as well as recommendations. Also how much do you read daily? What would you say your reading speed is?
Thank you, Amber

Amy October 28, 2015 at 11:10 PM

Hi Amber! As for the warnings and recommendations, this place has a great group of ladies who are so fun and who have diverse tastes, likes and dislikes. Maryse’s most recent posts are the best places to catch up to everyone so you can chat with them. The more you pop in, the better we can get to know your reading style…and if you ask for suggestions, be prepared to end up with a slew of ‘em!

Aaaaaaand I just hijacked a question totally aimed at Maryse. ;)

Jasmine Spotswood December 23, 2015 at 12:54 PM

Ana Paula September 8, 2016 at 8:37 PM

Hi, Maryse! I really love your list. I didn’t find the one I was looking for, though. Older man and younger women. Do you have recommendations? Thanks!

Susan September 29, 2016 at 10:56 AM

Please help! Cannot remember name of a book. YA book. It is about a high school girl starting at a new school. She’s pretty and gets noticed but ends up making enemies with a popular boy? But then they start a relationship and I think she does something to upset him so his friends and him exile her. They remove her chair at the lunch table as a sign. It causes her to be very upset that she is not eating a lot starting to look like crap and school. I just remember one part of it where some other guy say to her something like she used to look hot but now they wouldn’t even want to do her. The guy that’s upset with her overhears it and realizes what he’s doing and that she’s needing him to reach out to her. What book is this? Please help me find it! I cannot remember the title or author.

Bethania April 18, 2017 at 11:06 AM

Hi Maryse, my name is Bethania thanks for the blog and your lists, i love your lists. i follow the blog from 2010 but this is the first time i write to you, because my english is very bad, i´m sorry. i´m from Uruguay but i live in Madrid.
And thank you very much.

Katie April 23, 2017 at 8:47 AM

This has been my fav and go-to blog for so many years. One of my favorite things is when I pause my Audible to listen to a song the author has mentioned. I mean The Mighty Storm had its own Playlist.

Katie April 23, 2017 at 8:52 AM

…..(cont). Books like Real and Thoughtless had great music. I found several artists before they became famous in US like James Bay, Artic Monkeys and Ellie Goulding. I cannot remember which books they came from now but it is such a good way to relive books. Can you make a Books with Playlist???

Catherine Barba April 27, 2017 at 10:24 PM

Hi Maryse! Just love your blog so much. Can you help me with this? This ones bugging’s an mc book where at the start, the girl was sold to these 2 drug dealing brothers then she killed one brother forcing her to ask help from her best friend who works in a club and her best friend’s bf who owns the club. Those 2 sent her to another state to get help getting a new identity, while there, a biker saw the girl having bruises on her face..long story short, they got involved. But the biker is the roadie of his mc so he left (it’s just a stopover for him since he is always on the road, kinda a lone wolf). Years passed, the girl now is a for hire hacker. Went to the biker’s mc to reveal a plot against them from russian mob or something (cant remember). Anyways, if you could help me identify the Title of this book it would be greatly appreciated. It’s making me crazy! Thanks!

Maryse April 28, 2017 at 5:55 AM

You bet, Catherine!!! I’ll be posting this soon. :D !!

Maryse May 11, 2017 at 5:49 AM

I think we have your answer. There were a few guesses. Let us know if you see the right one on here:

Alodia June 11, 2017 at 4:20 AM

Lori September 16, 2017 at 7:59 AM

Hi all- I’ve been enjoying this site for awhile now. I can’t remember if i’ve posted anything before. I just wanted to share that I’ve read a new to me author this week and she has a great series out. Paranormal. Montana Ash is the author. Warden: Elemental Paladains is the first book in the series. LOVED IT! So good.
Since I’ve gotten so many good book leads here, I just wanted to give back. Hope you all enjoy.

Maryse September 16, 2017 at 8:01 AM

Thank you Lori!!! I’ll look it up right now. And welcome. I’m so glad you’ve joined us! :D

Season November 30, 2017 at 6:58 PM

Hi Maryse, your blog is my go to place for book recommendations. I just finished Amber to Ashes by Gail Mchugh and LOVED it! I did not know the sequel wasn’t out, boooo. Do you have any insider info when or if there will even be one.? Seems it was promised in 2016.

Nicole January 27, 2018 at 6:23 AM

You should do a top list for cheesy paranormal romance books and a list for witch paranormal books! :D

SCGH February 14, 2018 at 6:27 PM

Hi Maryse. Are you still updating your lists? Eg best books of 2017, top summer reads of 2017, etc. Your lists ere my favourite part of your website. I would always come here for inspiration.

Cindy May 11, 2018 at 11:39 PM

Hi Mary’s. Do you have a list of recommended audible books? Some I’ve listened to are terrible in that format because of the narrative. I recalled a while back seeing one that recommended the Jack Daniels series which was great but I’m looking for more on my long commute

Leah June 8, 2018 at 11:58 AM

Hi Mayrse! I’m trying to remember the name of this book. I know I have several book by this author in my Kindle books, but I don’t remember her name either. The book I am trying to remember is about a girl who is raped by her cop father right before graduation. She runs aways and realizes she is pregnant. She moves to a small town and has her baby and a few years later meets a guy who moves back there to work with his father as a lawyer. She wants to be an author. They fall in love. The book is the first in a series about the brothers of the guy. Argh…I remember everything about the book but the name of it or the author. Too many book problems! (As if thats a thing! Ha!)

Maryse June 14, 2018 at 11:56 AM

Hi Leah!!

I posted your reader question here:

Keep an eye on it, and let us know if you see the right guess.

Karen June 17, 2018 at 5:12 PM

I’ve been using your site as a reference for many years now. Thanks!!! Your enthusiasm is refreshing, also.
I don’t know how you find the time to read all the books. You must be a super fast reader.

Ujjawala July 23, 2018 at 9:54 AM

Hi! Do you have some recommendations for Girl chasing Boy books? I have read a couple quite enjoyed them.
