It’s true. A real life one. One that is long overdue to be told, in fact (you’ll see part one and part two of that author signing trip here – part 2 gets spookier 😉 ), but it’s part three (THIS post) that had the real spook-factor.

The evidence, if you will. Now of course, there will be some non-believers and skeptics that say “WHAT?? I don’t believe you and that photo shows nothing!!” but the fact that I caught something that I saw with my own eyes? I KNOW I had my own ghostly encounter at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas Texas. Reader Confession – That time Maryse almost killed Keri Arthur…

Okay yeah, this t-shirt is totally apropos, considering this post. 😉
Er… I mean tripped… TRIPPED. eeeeeeep!!!! Still though… almost just as bad, and OMG I’ve been thinking of it as “killed” (tongue-in-cheek, mind you), since that very day. ;)Did I ever tell you about that time, when I almost tripped/killed the VERY popular author named Keri Arthur at an integral moment in her life? I think it’s time I told you. But keep in mind, this happened back in 2009 (when I was BRAND SPANKING NEW to the book world). I’ve kept it a secret for years (and years), and I was mortified.

P.S. I still am. Oh yes. I hope she doesn’t read this, because I’m worried she’s still fuming.

Okay, so… this one time… I went to the MEGA RT Book Lovers Convention and it was my VERY first book signing EVER. I had JUST gotten back into hard core reading because of Twilight, and had JUST started my blog, and it just so happened that RT was in Orlando that year, so close to me and just a few months after I went live with my blog.

It was KISMET! I was meant to become a part of the book world, and here was my chance to meet my very favorites and LEARN LEARN LEARN!!!! read more

Dallas (and #RT15) rocked!!! We did SO much in the 4 days we were there, from meeting and hanging out with authors, to discovering a little bit of Dallas (at least within our walking vicinity). And we had so many adventures!! read more

GAH!!! It’s been exactly one week, since one of my favorite weeks ever, and I’m STILL reminiscing my heart out. Telling my friends, my aunt, my mom, you guys… Bits and pieces of my most cherished memories and hilarities that I’m scattering here, there and everywhere! I keep finding myself saying… “Oh!! This one time… blah blah blah…” and then I hear, “You already told me that one, Maryse.” Right. But there’s plenty I haven’t told some, so I’m going to collect all of my memories right here! read more
