Hi!

I need your readers help! I read the first few pages of a book and thought I wish listed it.

A couple is on vacation. All of a sudden the sun goes out! He’s confused and his girlfriend is complaining that her phone service is out.

It’s from his point of view. The start is anyway.

Tender Is the Flesh <— Welp. That was interesting. 😉

Here I was, silently perusing my Facebook feed when I came upon a book recommendation request, and THIS one showed up. There was shock and awe right after and a mini-discussion of sorts about it (’cause it’s ummm…*ahem* a cannibalism one). So I HAD to have it. Yep. I paid full price, and it’s not that long of a book.

Haley thought this one sounded interesting, but she forgot the title.

Theme/trope-wise (I love it!! Post apocalyptic or dystopian). It almost sounds like The Handmaid’s Tale or even a book I just one-clicked “Vox” that I haven’t read yet (where women are only allowed to say a limited number of words a day). Eeeeep!

Or even Folsom (The End of Men Book 1 by Tarryn Fisher and Willow Aster (though that one, it’s the women that have survived and taken over… and the men that are scarce). P.S. Here’s my my review. read more

Sue needs our book help! This one sounds post apocalyptic or the potential to become that, and I LOVE THOSE!! Especially when they stay in the realm of reality (you know… zombie-less). 😉

Help! I read a book about six or seven years ago and I can’t remember it. Gah!!

The H/h were college kids (but I don’t remember their relation to each other.) Something is happening in the world that requires people to take cover and get somewhere safe. The H heads home, because his family has a stockpile of sorts. read more

Nicole is looking for this book! And I LOVE post-apocalyptic especially without zombies (I want them sort of realistic, ya know?) 😉
