<— LOVED THIS BOOK (truly a page turner just as described) however I wish so badly that the author didn’t include all of that description in the book title. Due to that (yes I was intrigued and one-clicked because of that and also because of all of the awesome reviews this book has) buuuuuttt… I went into it with an almost preconceived notion of what I was about to embark upon.
Arrogant Officer: A RomCom Standalone (going live on March 21st 2021)
<— This was exactly what I was in the mood for. Every time I’ve asked for “cop romance” recommendations, I meant regular cop in uniform, all alpha-male-y, plenty of fun handsome yet annoying cop stuff that gets under her skin (er… you know what I mean – like tickets, and she keeps coincidentally seeing him after). And of course, all of the awesome protector “hero” moments.
Sorrow <— Oooooh boy, you guys I was so nervous with this one. Tiffanie DeBartolo is an INCREDIBLE author (exquisite writing – her words feel like she is touching your soul at times…) and I love her view… her version of life and love.
That said… this author has a way of pulling the rug right out from underneath me, ’cause she explores love stories in all of their glory and heartache. This is not a romance, but that said, this is a HUGE love story (a few in fact – in different ways) and one to feel with your whole heart. If you let yourself go… you will feel the incredible energy on all levels.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!! The writing was wonderful, the dialogue was amazing and realistic, and I could truly “see” the characters in real life, and the interactions. It flowed smoothly despite the bumpy ride. OH YES. What a tangled web it weaved and it had a bit of that soap opera drama but the good kind, ya know? I mean… when the reveals hit, THEY HIT BIG!!!
BUT ALSO… HOLY MOLY this book had so much heart. He might be a billionaire… or millionaire (and I haven’t read anything “billionaire-y” in ages) but this Hero was down to earth and so much fun (as well as super grumpy at times – which was also my favorite). Also… his moments of jealousy. YES PLEASE!! I always love when that happens. 😉
The Wrong Family: A Novel <— PSYCH-THRILLER ALERT!! The perfect family at least… appearance wise. 😏 Humans are fallible, and this is what the author so proficiently explores. And I LOVE HER for it. (P.S. I know… I know. I got an early review copy and it’s not LIVE yet, but not that much longer to wait… and worth the wait!)
Oooooh boy how can I possibly review this without spoiling anything? I am going to tread SO carefully, because I went in completely blind, and things kept revealing themselves slowly and surprisingly, throwing me off my “guessing game” every so often.
