Book #3 was just released a few days ago, and I’m hearing this series rocks! Literally. Okay, maybe it “countrys” 😉 but you get what I’m saying. And here are some adamant recommendations from some of our fellow readers.
Laura: this book is right up your alley. It pairs a troubled country music star (not the twangy by kind) with a young woman who wants to be a country music star. It’s got redemption for him, salvation for her, plenty of angst for all of us. Another thing I liked was even though there is a sequel down the line, this a full-length standalone novel with a good ending and no cliffhangers.
Catherine: Just thought I would let you know girls that I finished Caisey Quinn’s series, Girl with Guitar/Girl on Tour/Girl in Love after the release of GIL yesterday. Absolutely loved the whole story from start to finish, unputdownable and such a good price.
Janet: I’ve been waiting for this one. Loved the first 2. Thanks Catherine
Julie: Love Love Love this series. Good reviews so far for the final book. I can’t wait!
Liz: Really love this series!! And I’m NOT a country music fan 😉 There’s just something about the story, the characters, and the writing. So engaging and fun and sexy, and with the perfect amount of turmoil and angst.
About book #1:
After Kylie’s dad dies in a freak accident, he leaves her with nothing other than her crazy stepmother, Darla, and the ability to play guitar. When Darla kicks Kylie out and she loses her job all in the same day, she hops a bus to Nashville determined to make her late father’s dreams come true.
Waitressing and saving her pennies to record a demo, her big break comes when she’s asked to join a tour going down the tubes with once platinum album-selling country music superstar Trace Corbin. But touring with Trace is hardly a dream come true since he’s pretty much drinking his career down the drain. If Kylie can’t pull Trace out of his rut, he’ll pull her and her dreams down with him.
I kept my eye on book 3 for forever now and it did not disappoint. I loved this series!
Thanks for this Maryse, I am thinking of starting this series next but just one questions first: is there cheating in any of the books? Don’t worry if you can’t say as it might be a big spoiler but I would like to know before I start (sigh I am hopeless when it comes to cheating my heart never fully recovers from it LOL) THANKS XXXX
