Reader Question – The book where he leaves her after having sex, to go save someone from a fire, and doesn’t come back…

Esther is looking for this one! I have no idea, but hopefully someone here does. 🙂

She asks:

The mmc leaves the fmc in a room after having sex with her and goes to save someone from a fire. He tells her he’ll come back but he doesn’t.

Later on someone finds her being trapped but thinks she was having sex with someone else so she goes to tell him what happened but he doesn’t speak to her.

He finds out she was raped and goes back to apologize.

Anyone have a guess?
