HAPPY MONDAY & YET ANOTHER START TO A NEW WEEK. Luckily, we have some AMAZING sounding new releases that just went live in the last 24 hours and quite a few going live tomorrow. This week will be a stellar for reading, and it’s how I’ll relax after my fast-paced work days. Thank goodness for books!!

Three things:
1.) I set up my beautiful coastal table and I’m so proud of it. The combo of coastal dishes and big glasses, little glasses, (the pitcher, and everything in between and maybe even these) that I showed you last week, the beautiful pitcher, these gorgeous sea turtle cloth napkins and napkin rings, and the cherry on top…the fun & whimsical wood whale tale. I can’t stop smiling at it. So what’s the “theme” of your house? Or what is your favorite collection that you love to display/
2.) And here is my totally sweet centerpiece. I feel like I need to make it a bit… “more”… not sure yet. But overall, I love it.
3.) I binge-watched Beast Games yesterday for nice mindless but fun & thrilling Sunday entertainment while getting ready for yet another week to start. I liked it! I’m not usually into game shows, but… why not, right? And I liked that various competitions/bribes happened along the way, allowing contestants the ability to win money (or that private island!!!! YES PLEASE!!) and not just that whole main prize situation (which is amazing in itself).

I love your themed table!! Our airbnb is technically mermaid themed, but we only have 1 bedroom decorated with mermaids. The other mermaids are more subtle–one by the pool, one in the flower bed, the set in the “haunted trail” is mermaid themed, and our Christmas tree was too.
1. Our RV neighbor got a kidney transplant last week and he and his wife are staying with us for a few days while he recovers since we don’t have stairs at the house. We’re waiting for the call now to go pick him up!
2. I’ve been a writing fool lately. It’s like it was when I was writing Waiting for the Sun. Obsessive, almost. I’m up most of the night, dishes stay piled in the sink, I have to set a reminder to shower… 😂 I think my husband’s pretty happy to have houseguests because it means I have to actually smell decent and make food!
3. I got up at 3:30 to put a pork roast in the slow cooker and my house smells amazing. We’re doing Mexican pulled pork tacos with fresh flour tortillas and homemade Spanish rice, and it’s making me soooo hungry!
Oh thank you so much! I have SO much fun decorating and doing house stuff. It just all feels so satisfying. My other house was more… stark & minimalist which I love too, but this is much more fun (especially the process!).
So…. tell me all about your new book please!!!! Also, you made me so hungry. We do pulled pork nachos every few weeks (and taco Tuesdays WITHOUT FAIL) for my husband’s son. I DO love when the slow cooker is on all day.
I’m taking a break from cooking today and door dashing it. Maybe McDonalds! 😂
It’s a Hollywood romance set in rural Texas called Magnolia May that I started years ago, but then covid and the airbnb got in the way and I lost my motivation. Not sure when I’ll finish it but it’ll definitely be this year!
I used to LOVE McDonalds. I miss olden-times McDonalds when there was a nice juiciness to it all. LOL!! Now it’s dry cardboard. My favorite used to be a nice cheeseburger and fries, and no matter how many times I try a cheeseburger again from whatever McDs I go to, it’s the same boring dry flavor.
But… when the McRib is out, I’m allllll IN! LOL! Boy do I love that, and it’s never dry and bland. But I go no-onions ’cause in my “maturity” I can’t do onions anymore. *sigh* 😔
I still love it. I even love it in Europe where it’s much blander than it is here! I haven’t had a McRib since I was a kid. I’m not sure I could do that now!
P.S. I’m so excited for your book. Anything celebrity romance is always exciting!!! Is it famous guy and normal girl?
Yes. More famous than he wants to be (he was born into it). And she gets stuck with him by accident when she’s asked by his director to teach him to dance for the movie they’re filming. He’s a bit of a d!ck and she’s unimpressed. Until she’s not. And write now, I’m writing the scene where SHE IS NOT. 😂
