HAPPY NEW WEEK & HAPPY MONDAY!! It’s that time again to compile all of the latest new releases and turn them into book lists! Today’s is ready… and I’m working on tomorrow’s as we speak.
P.S. Highlights of today’s book list includes the least by A.L. Jackson and the latest by Abbi Glines!!
Three things:
1.) I just finished Bald Faced Liar by Victoria Helen Stone (I LOVE that author) and while the book was well written in her personal style (which I love) I 3.75- to 4 starred it. I dunno. It was good but I put it down a lot. Review to come. Next I’m either starting The Wedding People or Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil. And I’ll be reading Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil with one of my colleague book-besties! A BUDDY READ!!
2.) I’m on week 6 or is it 7? of my Invisalign journey and holy moly my teeth have already moved SO much. Like…if I was to stop my journey right now, after not even 2 months, I already love my teeth WAY more than what they were. I’m so glad I chose to do this. Mine is supposed to be a 6 month treatment and I believe it. Of course there may be refinements, but so far it’s so much better than I anticipated already.
3.) My husband and I had an impromptu Tuesday night beach date. I got home from work, exhausted, but his son (on summer vacation) wanted to go tto the beach with his friends, so off we went and decided to make a date out of it. We dropped off his son, went to this adorable tiny French cuisine restaurant and ate THE BEST FOOD we have ever eaten in a restaurant I think. My husband is super picky when it comes to food, and he absolutely delighted in it. It’s called “The Porch” and it’s right across the street from the beach, so once we were finished, we took a nice leisurely stroll as the sun began setting, and then we all met up and came home. What a way to wind down after a crazy-busy day. I LOVE living near the beach, however… with that comes hurricane season and it has just started so we’re bracing ourselves.
