Liv needs our book help! I love the unrequited love stories, and I want to know this one too!
She asks:
Looking for a small town romance book where the Mmc rejects the fmc and she leaves.
She goes to her business late at night and 2 kids from her center attack her. I believe she walks with a limp after. She distances herself from everyone including her brother.
The mmc finds out afterwards.

The setting was small town, contemporary romance, I want to say they were friends already. She wanted more and he didn’t feel the same way. She left to clear her head and that’s when she was attacked.
I remember the scene of a family get together/dinner and she was on the floor playing with the kids and she must have left early (which is where they introduced the extent of her injuries with the limp)
I remember her brother was always attempting to get her to come out more.

Maggie: There is also the plus one chronicles by Jennifer Lyons. MMC didn’t reject her she was attacked because of her ex and she overcome a lot because of MMC

Carole: It sounds a bit like Viper’s Run by Jamie Begley, the second book in her The Last Riders MC series. The FMC is a teacher and is attacked (a pupil at her school is accused) and left for dead after the MMC rejects her. Great book, in fact if you like this genre, the whole series is excellent.

I have been attempting to use AI to find it, to no avail. I’ve recently been flooded with book plots of the past that have been haunting me for a reread 🙁
