Chris needs our book help! Ohhhhh this sounds almost just like a book I just read and liked, but it doesn’t include Brazil or the jungle. I was all excited for a minute there, thinking I had this one solved already. I still need to write that review, and this reader question just spurred me into action!
And also GASP!!!!!! This one sounds like a Kindle thrower for sure (at least that first part).
She asks:
Looking for, I think a Harlequin, romance book.
Leads are British. Begins with FMC at the wedding of her ex fiancé with best friend. Basically when SHE was doing wedding prep in her hometown, her fiancé fell into some small town love with the best friend.
His brother is really taken with her, and he shows up at her apartment to find her attempting suicide (pills). He decides to bring her to Brazil where he is working on a compound in a jungle. Convinces her that being married would be best if she joins.
I really liked it, because she wasn’t a weak fmc, but could not kick her depression.
I think it’s very niche, so am having trouble with the AI bots. Maybe someone like a Michelle Reid wrote it?
Anyone have a guess?
