Reader Question… Solved! The book about the happily married couple until his ex comes back into town & he makes bone-headed decisions…

Jennifer needs our book help! Oh!! KINDLE-THROWER ALERT!!! The Marital strife trope is always one of my favorites. I love the journey and the resolution whether it’s a traditional happily ever after or… not. In books!!! Always and only in books. LOL!!

And, I love that there’s just enough detail in this one to speak someone’s memory I’m sure.

Name that book?

I am trying to remember the title of a KU book I read about a year ago and searching keywords and my reading history is getting me nowhere.

The couple is happily living together. She’s working on opening an animal shelter.

Then his ‘friend’ (who is secretly his ex wife) comes back into town after her father has become ill. H thinks he’s responsible for ex-wife and makes a cascading series of terrible choices, ending with going on a ‘honeymoon’ with the ex before the h gets fed up and leaves him.

Anyone have a guess?
