Uzo needs our book help! I LOVE trilogies and she mentions she thought it was Nora Roberts but determined it wasn’t (and that was my first guess) so I’m asking my Historical Romance aficionados out there. 😉
She asks:
Hi.
I’ve been here before and amazingly you guys helped me find a certain book series that I’ve spent years trying to remember and I’m still so grateful everytime I reread it.
I have another book I’m looking for, I read it in paperback a really long time ago and back then the pictures were of just one colour with the FL wearing a gown of same colour. I really can’t remember a lot from the book but it’s a historical romance (it’s a book series also and each series design was of a different colour, this particular one was icy blue probably because most of the storyline was centered in the winter season).
Anyway, the FL was escaping from a marriage or something that had to do with a specific general (can’t really remember his title) and somehow ended up getting stranded in the snowy woods with this rough-handsome depicted man (there was a boat but she couldn’t go in a frozen lake but I remember the general person finding them by all means even if it meant breaking through the Ice).
I also remember that by the time she was found, she was already pregnant for the guy (it had been a long time together for both of them). I think he got injured and later on her father approved of their union and the lived together in his cabin.
One thing to note also, she was a spoiled girl at first (obviously) so it was hard to get accustomed to life in the woods but with him helping her and falling in love, she began to get used to the life and comfortable too. I’ve tried to look for it amongst all the historical romance authors I know but I couldn’t find it.
At first I thought it was Nora Roberts but turns out it wasn’t and then I got stuck again.
I do know that it’s most likely a trilogy cos I read three of the books following excerpts at each book end and the paperback colour of the other two were red and purple but the stories weren’t connected to each other. There were different stories but similar situations I guess.
I really can’t remember and it has been bugging me so bad cos I want to read it again.
Please help me out if anyone knows it
Anyone have a guess?
