Shea is looking for this book! Oooooof this one sounds infuriating! I feel like I’ve read it, and wanted to throw my Kindle but I can’t remember either.
She asks:
Looking for a book I read a few years ago.
HS H/h ready to graduate and leave for college. She’s drugged and SA’d, H thinks she cheated, so he cheats, and h sees.
He leaves town and she stays, pregnant. Second chance, small town.
Anyone have any idea??
Thanks
Anyone have a guess?
Aimee: Following!! I want to say that I read this but I love this trope so I could have read something like it. I want to know too!!!
Aimee: Could it be The sweet Gum Tree? Has similar story
Maryse: Maybe that’s where I’m recognizing this story!!
Melissa: I know this isn’t it but there is a sexual assault resulting in pregnancy, The Atonement Child by Francine Rivers. I’ll be following to add to my reading list.
Maryse: I’m adding it anyway!! This way we make a nice mini-list of similar tropes until we find it.
Monica: Have Mercy by NE Henderson ?
Sandra: This one sounds familiar.
Maryse: Agreeeeed! I feel like I’ve read this. Aimee said maybe “The Sweet Gum Tree” and I’m thinking maybe that’s where I read it?
Randy: did you ever figure it out, I would love to read the book sounds interesting
Shea: These all sound great, but none of them are it.
Rene: Four Doors Down by Emma Doherty
Terena: Don’t remember him cheating back, but everything else fits. This is a start to a series.
Maryse: YAY!!! Another one solved even if it was solved by the asker. 😉 Thank you for letting us know, Shea. Now we can read it too, plus we have a list of similar tropes to read, too!

Ok my sister found it. She Downey remember him cheating back, just taking off to military without any notice. Thanks so much for everyone’s guesses (and some new books for my TBR). The book is Forgiving History by Jenni M Rose.

Thank you Rene! It’s been solved already, but I will add this in anyway. 🙂
