When 16-year-old Claire Danvers arrives in the sleepy Texas town of Morganville for a parentally-enforced year at Texas Prairie University before heading off to MIT, her life takes a turn for the scary. The reason i love yhr books r because there sooo teens. what i mean by that is i can relate to claire and Eve and im sure guys can relate to Shane and Michale. because thats excalty how we talk and think. Shane and Claire are just like me nd my ex bf. i love there charters so much because they dont hold back. as for Eve and Michale , well lets just say i envy there realationship because there two teens in love in a screwed up toWn and yet, it hasent brought them down thats how strong there love is. Mrs. Caine, keep writting this series because its the best and when i say best, i mean its Better thaN TWILIGHT !!!! AND I LOVE TWILIGHT, BUT YOU, YOU ARE A DEAL CLOSER. :):)

How do you write that much about one story!? It’s incredible, truly talented. I’m up to chapter six now and really love it, gonna have to save up for the next seven!

Donna November 21, 2011 at 3:57 PM: I just started the series; On chapter one . . . Came here to see what Maryse thought of this series, but it does not look as if she has read them. Good reads does not have a high ranking on the series, but I will form my own opinion. I always give a series two or three books before I vote it off. I am undecided at the moment. We shall see! Maryse, I will let you know what I think if you are interested. Me and you have very similar tastes in books.

Donna November 28, 2011 at 10:35 PM: I am just finishing book 6 and I really like the series. Here is the basic story line. The main characters are Claire, Eva, Mike, and Shane; they are all room mates after like chapter three in the first book. Claire moves in with the other three after trouble with some of the girls at her dorm. She is an advanced placement 16 year old in college; really smart! She is completely unaware as well as most of the citizens about the real deal concerning Morganville; that vampires run the city. She gets a crash course in learning the in’s and out’s of Morganville and it is really fun to watch. The vampires are not all nice and take humans as theirs and the vampire becomes the humans patrons/protector; but that comes with a price to the humans and their families. Very Fun book. I am really enjoying the series. I would not call it a big romance novel even though there is romance in it. It is more like realistic romance like you would find in the Rachel Morgan ‘The Hollows” series at a more PG 13 rating. The story is told from Claire’s point of view as she is very young in mind, so I think as the series moves on the book will get more involved. The series is currently up to book 11. A very FUN read all in all. I would recommend it to you. On a scale of 0(bad)-5(BD awesomeness); I would give these book a solid 4 and other books a 4.5. Very good read. I will let you know more as I get to the end of the series.

Donna December 3, 2011 at 1:09 AM: OH man I just finished last breath. AWESOME! It has a huge cliffhanger at the end and I just can’t wait for the next book. Her books come out about every 6 months, so I don’t think the wait will be long. Maryse the series get even better as you go along. It is a great story line. The romance in it is written for a younger audience, but it is there for sure. It’s a good read. You will have to let us know if or when you decide to read them. Very good!

It is amazing how it is so easy to picture every character and just watch it in your head like a movie as you read. So excited for the next book to come out

I just finished Book 10 (Bite Club) and haven’t been back to the bookstore yet to pick up Last Breath because I live 45 minutes away from the nearest Books-A-Million. My favorite character has to be Myrnin or Oliver. I love Myrnin’s attitude and how he secretly cares about Claire. I also love Oliver’s sense of humor at times and I’m dying to read the next book!(:
alysha June 4, 2012 at 10:29 PM: a friend got me hooked on morganville vampires, i read the first book in 1 hour and up to 11 in that same week. and have now read 12. ohh my wow. i know im just a noob to the series but i love the books and characters to bits! especially myrnin! cant wait for bitter blood and the last two but i never want it to end!

I saw ghost town in Walmart for three bucks bought it and read it without even paying attention then at dollar tree i came across midnight alley and feast of fools. Read one line and I knew I was backwards I had no idea there are 13 books. I think I’m just going to wait to buy all then read them all in ORDER lol.

I’m up to Black Dawn right now and I’m loving it. My favorite time to read is after work on the ride home, hubbie’s driving though no worries. I was reading one page and busted out laughing when Eve called Myrin “Chatty Batty”.
My husband looked at me and said what the hell could be so funny about a vampire book. I just said “you had to be there”. Thanks Ms. Caine. I really enjoy your writing.
