Adriana is looking for this one! Unrequited love, and probably groveling… 😉 And I swear I had a question just like this recently, so I’m wondering if it spawned a memory in this reader, because I don’t think it’s the same one (but the trope is).
P.S. I LOVE the part after the spoiler alerts below, ’cause now I’m dying to know if there’s a part two, too!
She asks:
Could you help me find this book? I’ve been looking this for maybe a decade??
Maybe you can help me find the name of this book… Well, first this is a historical romance, the story is set in Scotland at the beginning (I’m not very sure) and then in England.
its about an innocent servant girl and a gentleman that seduces her an then gets her pregnant. I don’t remember how, but the girl ends up working for his grandmother or aunt, the old lady is pretty intelligent and finds out the relationship between her grandson and the girl.
So the grandmother decides to set on her will that the guy will have her fortune only if he marries a girl and has a child soon after. He marries the girl for the fortune as soon as he founds out about the h condition he is not the best of men, he cheats on her all the time until he realizes he is inlove with her, only after she changes her complete persona with a makeover.
SPOILER!!!!!
SPOILER!!!!!
SPOILER!!!!!
SPOILER!!!!!
SPOILER!!!!!
SPOILER!!!!!
There’s a nice guy thought, I wished so much that the girl ended choosing him, but no, she ends up with the the other one, they even fight for her almost at the end of the book.
So I want to know if there’s a second part just for the good guy, because he was the only person that I liked in the book. I hope someone here can recognize this story.
Thank you and sorry for my English..
PS: There are some details about the characters that I’m not very sure are real or just a product of my imagination trying to fill in the gaps, but here we go.
-She was orphan she was blonde probably(?)
The nice guy was irish (?)
The husbands name was Garret (of this one I’m really really not sure)
Anyone have a guess?
