For those that don’t know what these new featurettes will be about, here is the scoop! “You’ll Never Believe…” will feature the weirdest questions or encounters that authors have been asked/had. Might be about their books or random things, like meetings in a bathroom where someone asked what brand of toilet paper they normally use. Fun stuff and inside scoops that an author would not normally share.

Today’s “You’ll Never Believe…” celebrates the release of Sidney Halston’s latest MMA FIGHTER ROMANCE book, Below the Belt: A Worth the Fight Novel (Worth the Fight series Book 3) <—- (and OMG DID YOU GET A LOAD OF THAT COVER!!???), and she tells us about her “cowboy” experience!

“Since the release of AGAINST THE CAGE, I’ve had a few weird encounters, mostly they’re personal questions about my sex life, which I think is to be expected when you write romance. But, the funniest thing that has happened has nothing to do with my books and everything to do with my husband.

The best part about being an author has been meeting new fans, other authors, and attending very cool events.  One such event was RWA in San Antonio, Texas last July. My husband went with me —poor guy. I felt terrible about abandoning him most of the week so I took him to one of the parties one of the evenings—the theme was Cowboys (Texas—Cowboys…get it. Hee hee). Suffice it to say, there were cowboys. A lot of cowboys! You could stand in line and take pictures with them and of course, I did! I was so excited. My hubby, being the ever-supportive hubby that he is, stood by and let me giggle and fan girl my way through the line. Then it was my turn for the photo op and my hubby, who was supposed to be taking the photo, was nowhere to be found. I’m left standing there with the cowboy—awkwardly, I may add, as I look around for my husband. Then I see a small mob of women swooning at a corner and lo and behold—It’s my husband! They were taking photos with him thinking he was one of the sexy cowboys. HA!

The cowboy I was standing with laughed so hard and shuffled me toward my husband and said, “Guess you don’t need me. You got your own cowboy.” I ended up being the one taking the photos for the next hour, and they were of my husband and other authors. One in particular (a very known and very famous romance author) even kissed my hubby while yelling ‘Yee Haw!’ Great ego booster for my husband!
