HAPPY MONDAY AND HAPPY START OF A NEW WEEK!! Welp. Today’s book list is short and sweet, and now it’s time for me to put tomorrow’s list together which I can’t wait to do. I can’t wait to see what I can find!!
Three things:
1.) I’m anxiously/hopefully waiting on rain to finally come through. We have frequent droughts here in FL (as well as “rainy seasons”) and my landscaping and trees would really appreciate a proper rain storm. Please. It’s dark grey outside, Alexa tells me rain will be here like…right now, and last 20 minutes, and still, I wait. Please rain gods. 🙏 It’s not much to ask. Just a nice downpour. Please?
2.) I’m marathon watching “The Pitt” and loving it. I love these kinds of shows, and I forgot I did. Once this one’s done, maybe I backtrack through a few seasons of Grey’s Anatomy to catch up on that one. It’s easy enough to follow while I work on my blog or…you know… scroll through reddit and social media and such. 🙂
3.) I just bought these amazing Adirondack chairs (2 of them) and I can’t WAIT to get them!! I have a large circular outdoor lounge couch for hanging out around our fire pit, but… it’s just so big and I dunno. While it fits perfectly, I think it’s still too big for the area, gets dirty so easily (dogs and weather) so a couple of these chairs instead, might be better. More inviting and easier to keep clean. Plus, they rock as well as stay stationary. I LOVE!!!

OMG!!! FINALLY!!!! 11:16am and it is pouring outside!!! Oh joy!!! 🥹 😃 🌧️
I feel you on the lack of rain. We’ve been in a drought forever. Our grass is gone. Heck, even our weeds have died. And the oaks are really suffering. Our lake is so low, it’s starting to make me nervous. How many ways can I spin, “but there are so many other things to do!” to airbnb guests? Which, won’t even be an issue if we run out of drinking water. The county has finally stopped approving new developments, thank God! We have a well, but it could certainly dry up.
1. My airbnb guests are all checked in, and I’m at the RV with Alice and my laptop. It’s blissful after a week of he!l. Flipping the house did not go smoothly this time!
2. The hubs is visiting a friend at least until Wednesday! I love my alone time, especially in the RV where he gets cabin fever.
3. I think tonight I’ll grill myself some swordfish and veggies. Maybe pop open a bottle of wine.
